General Hospital recap for Thursday, August 18, 2022. In today’s GH episode, Maxie gives Britt advice, Victor takes an interest in Lucy, and Chase gets a makeover.
We also have Wednesday’s GH recap where Spencer backed out of confessing his love to Trina, Sonny confronted Dex, and Victor threw the cops off track.
At General Hospital, Liz checks over Scott’s face. Britt joins them and makes a crack about plastic surgery.
He urges her to stay away from Cody Bell. He’s sure that he’s on the make. The doctor hasn’t made up her mind about him.
Scott wonders how Liesl feels about the “sucker-punching grifter.” She doesn’t answer and leaves him with Liz.
Scott wishes Britt had her mother’s good taste in men.
He fills her in about Cody being Catherine’s brother. The lawyer worries he’s a money grubber like his sister.
When the subject of her parents comes up, she shuts it down. She wants people to stay out of her business, including him.
When she calms down, he tells her not to write her family off. Left alone, she flashes back to telling someone to stay away from her father. Looking down, she’s just smashed a vial in her hand.
Maxie finds Britt in the hall and tells her Spinelli will not be pursing her anymore.
She just thinks he’s lonely and did a “transference thing” because they were both so close to Jason.
They discuss Dominique being Cody’s mom and she tells Britt the backstory. Britt tells her that everything with Cody has been a train wreck. She doesn’t need the drama.
Maxie reminds her dull men aren’t her type. Besides, her mother doesn’t approve. Her friend is sure that Liesl will just want her to be happy.
She encourages her to give Cody another chance. The doctor thanks her for the advice and gives her a hug.
At the pool, Violet swims while Chase, Gregory and Finn watch. They chat about how Chase’s future looks. He says he’s about to embark on a whole new career.
He jokes to his father that Brook Lynn is good at disaster planning. Violet wonders if her uncle will be famous.
As Chase heads out, his father stops him to assure him he will succeed at whatever he does. When he hands him a check, Chase tries to refuse but his father insists it’s only a loan.
Once Chase is gone, Finn and his father talk about what’s left for the summer. When Gregory suggests another camping trip, Finn tells him about his troubles with Liz.
He wants to believe she’s fine but she keeps giving him reasons to doubt it. The doctor recalls watching his wife slip away. He doesn’t know if he can watch Liz fall apart.
Gregory warns that disregarding Liz’s wishes could scare her off. He could stand losing her if he knew she was going to be okay.
In the stables, Cody and Olivia chat about Dante. She’s happy he and her son have hooked up again. He could have used a friend over the past few years.
Cody has something to tell her that might change her opinion. He fills her in on being Dominique’s son. This doesn’t surprise her.
Dante arrives and listens in the shadows as Cody tells Liv he’d be surprised if she wasn’t sold on him staying. She says he’s family. Dante interrupts.
His mom is eager to get Cody out of his legal woes. Her son points out Scott didn’t press charges.
After the three of them recall camp days, she takes off. Dante immediately asks his friend what else he is hiding. Cody claims it’s nothing that will affect his mother.
Dante wants to know if he’s in any more trouble because he still owes him for what he did back when they were at camp.
Britt arrives and asks what happened. They cover up. She doesn’t know why she’s there.
He wonders if she’s there to tell him he blew it but deserves a second chance. She wants to learn more about him and prompts him to start talking.

At the Quartermaine estate, Ned finds Leo laughing with Brook Lynn about his past as a rock star.
They show him pictures and then breaks the news about her plans to make Chase a star. Ned warns her that artist management is wholly dependent on the artist.
She’s not quitting her day job and thinks she could be good at this. Chase is strapped for cash. Linc has already booked him into The Savoy.
He realizes she is still trying to turn the tables on her old manager and worries this will only make things worse.
Chase arrives as Leo is trying on outfits. Brook Lynn announces they are creating a look book for him.
Olivia arrives in time to sit with the others and give her thumbs down on the various outfits he tries on.
Many costume changes later, Chase worries it’s hopeless. Ned gets an idea.
After Brook Lynn tells Chase how much faith she has in him, Ned returns with a leather jacket.
Chase comes in dressed in black with his shirt open. He’s wearing Ned’s old pants. He gets the thumbs up. Liv tells him to lose the shirt.
Later, Dante comes in and tells his mother that Brook Lynn must have another angle. He muses that just because he knew Cody before, he’s not so sure he does anymore.
Lucy wanders into the Metro Court and finds Anna having breakfast with Valentin and Victor. She tells Anna that she should hold on to her man as best as she can.
Victor asks Lucy to join them and turns on the charm. Coe can’t stay. She fills Valentin on Martin being compelled to take a trip. He’s excited to explain everything when he returns.
Once she takes off, Victor remarks on how charming she is. “Trouble in heels,” Valentin says.
Anna makes an excuse and walks off. Victor complains about. Valentin wishes he would stand down.
His father tells him about how much trouble the women the family have been getting involved with are. He worries about how devious Anna is.
Anna hunts down Lucy and demands to know where Martin is. Coe confronts her for extorting Martin and driving him away. She threatens to expose her to Valentin.
Anna holds her back and points out how bad that could turn out for the lawyer. Lucy asks her to back off her man. She gets a warning that things will go badly for him with the IRS if she spills about this.
Lucy claims she doesn’t know where Martin is. It seems like they are both in the dark when it comes to their gentlemen friends.
Anna warns her that she better not get in her way or else. Lucy has no idea what’s going on and suggests she be looking at Victor, not Martin.
“You better not run Lucy, or I will hunt you down like a hound on a hare!” Anna threatens.
Anna returns to Victor and Valentin and tells them she was just chatting with Emma. Victor is amazed she’s a grandmother and then asks about Lucy. He thinks it was foolish of Martin to leave her alone.
As Lucy heads for the elevator, she bumps straight into Scott. He tells her that Britt’s new boyfriend is a Bell.
