Wed Jan 10, 2024: Today on General Hospital, Bobbie’s friends and family join for her funeral.
Tuesday’s GH recap: After hearing Esme’s pleas, Ava insisted on pressing charges against her, and Curtis went in for the experimental procedure.
In her room, Carly sadly looks at a photo of her mom and takes some deep breaths before putting on her necklace and weeping.
In her room, Felicia looks at a picture of Bobbie, put on her necklace, and weeps.
Joss and Michael welcome Lucas at Carly’s.
After they hug him, Carly joins them. As she and Lucas embrace, she asks how they will get through this.
He doesn’t know, but they will.
Carly gets a call and visits Liz at Kelly’s. Wind knocked the sign down and broke it. It has been there for decades.
Liz offers to paint a new one to honor Bobbie.
At home, Maxie gets her son to promise not to fight with his sister today. Felicia and Anna arrive. They hug and weep.
Spencer joins Laura at the dedication wall in General Hospital. She gives it a kiss.
Dante, Sam, and Sonny solemnly get on the elevator to head out.
Carly and her family go to the chapel. Drew goes off to check on the priest. Carly’s kids tell her they will be there for her.
She will be there for all of them too.
They file into the chapel. Drew returns to say that everything is set. He wishes he could do more.
Sam, Dante, and Sonny arrive and Carly greets her. The cop says her mom was an incredible person.
Left with Sonny, he asks how she’s holding up. She’s hanging in. He loves Bobbie and will miss her.
“Me too,” she says.
In the vestibule, Felicia tells Anna and Maxie that Bobbie is with Tony and Barbara Jean now. It doesn’t give her much comfort.
Maxie adds Bobbie always said they were her guardian angels and she feels that too. She can recall Tony listening to BJ’s heart in her chest, even though that seems impossible.
Felicia thinks that’s a blessing.
They join the other guests.
Willow arrives. Michael is glad to see her. She loved Bobbie and knows he loved her even more.
Laura tells Carly and Lucas how much she will miss their mother. She was like a sister to her and hopes she can do her justice in her eulogy.
Kevin assures her she will.
Spencer and Trina pay their condolences to Joss.
Tracy pays her condolences to Carly, who is glad she was there with her in Amsterdam. Tracy says that her mother was a force to be reckoned with and she admired her immensely for her loyalty.
She walks over to Lucy, who assumes she’s fixing for a fight. Tracy says Bobbie transcends whatever is going on between them.
They call a truce for Bobbie.
Alexis lights a candle for Bobbie and says she was an angel on earth. Kristina talks about how much she helped her with the Kiefer stuff.
Laura joins Scott, who has been having trouble coming up with anything to say about someone he cared so much about.
Anna and Maxie notice a woman they don’t recognize. They assume she’s someone Bobbie must have helped.
The service starts as the coffin is brought in. The priest asks everyone to help them learn to love unconditionally as Bobbie did.
Standing by the coffin, Laura explains she met Bobbie when she was just a candy-striper.
They weren’t just sisters-in-law, but friends. Being in her orbit was an honor because she touched so many lives. She was someone who led with her heart and loved without skepticism.
Always smiling, she also wasn’t afraid to fight for what she believed in and the people she believed in.
She had a knack for finding the good in anyone and they all had the fortune of experiencing that. It was an experience she’ll truly miss.
Scott in next. He’s at a loss for words and doesn’t know how to memorialize someone as complex as Bobbie, someone friends with a lawyer like him, an Aztec princess and Richard Simmons.
She was the best at everything, kind, sweet and generous. He loved her and realizes they were meant to be best friends.
“I’m gonna miss you Bobbie with everything I got,” he says.
Next, Liz says that Bobbie grew up with a lot of trauma but harnessed it instead of letting it break her.
She turned that into something healing and helped her through some difficult times. She was always the first person to offer to her hand to help.
It’s a legacy she wants to continue.
Carly goes up and thanks everyone for being there. Her mom was a wonderful woman and they have a very unique relationship, not meeting until adults.
Bobbie did not raise her, but she mentored her and taught her how to feel. When she came to Port Charles, she was a mess and Bobbie was one of the people who changed her, making her realize how important acceptance is.
She promised to love her and believe in her, even if she would never take her crap. On the surface, they were different but she sees her every time she looks at her kids. She loves her and the world is a very different place without her.

When the service ends, Maxie trails after the mystery woman as she exits. She explains she’s a reported named Angela Brighton and she used to work with Bobbie and is doing a story on her.
As Lucas lights a candle, Felix pays his condolences and tells him how great his mom was. She was tireless, especially with the Nurses’ Ball.
They laugh about how wonderful she was and how positive she always was. Felix says they will all really miss her.
“Thank you for sharing her with us,” he says.
As Felicia and Carly discuss the service, Maxie brings Angela over and announces she has something important to tell her.
At Kelly’s, Carly tells Angela that she doesn’t want the press making a mockery of her mother’s death.
Angela explains that she met Bobbie in Amsterdam while she was doing charity work. She was helping women escape human trafficking.
Bobbie did tell her about her teen years as a prostitute. Her work had a pivotal role in turning the lives of women around.
She couldn’t say much to her because it would risk exposing her contact among the traffickers. She was in the middle of trying to get a woman to the States when she died.
Overwhelmed, Carly leaves for some air. Felicia chases after her.
Carly knew her mom must have been up to something. Felicia isn’t surprised that saving people was her “side hustle.”
They wonder how they can find out about the woman she was trying to save. Carly gets an idea.
After she runs off, Felicia remembers Bobbie until her daughter and the reporter come out.
Felicia cries, hoping Bobbie knew she would do anything for her. They’re sure she did.
She wants to walk home, hugs her daughter and tells her she’s everything good.
Angela says that Maxie and her mom have a really special bond.
Carly calls Tracy over to her house. She fills her in on what her mom was doing.
She wants to know that the woman she was trying to help is safe and finish what she started.
Tracy knew nothing about what Bobbie was doing. The only thing she mentioned was a cabin in Ontario Luke had.
She went off on her own a lot. Tracy followed her to a café once.
Later, Drew and Joss are surprised when Carly announces she’s flying to Amsterdam. He wants to go but she needs them to stay and look after the kids.
She wants to help her mom find peace and needs to do this. They are proud of her.
Before she can go, Felicia shows up, asking to go with her to help. They’ve never been close but Bobbie gave her life meaning and she owes her everything.
Carly agrees.
Back at Kelly’s, Maxie admires Angela’s dedication to this story. She says there are countless people who Bobbie has helped and she will put her in contact with them. They arrange to meet in the morning.
