In the Tuesday, June 22, 2021, full episode recap of Days of our Lives, Kate wants Jake to make love to her, Sami lies to EJ, and Xander thinks he and Nicole need to find the dirt on Sami before she outs Nicole for cheating. In case you missed out, on Monday’s Days of our Lives episode, Brady walked in on Nicole and Xander discussing their one-nighter.
Brady walks in on Xander and Nicole at the office. Nic asks how long he’s been standing there. “Long enough to know that you’ve made a huge mistake.” Brady tells them she went to see Chloe, who is sick that Xander’s working here. Nic asks how she’s feeling. Brady says she’s in pain but doing fine — at Victor’s house. Nicole’s shocked she’d stay there since Victor hates her. Xander is shocked. “Aren’t you worried about her sleeping with the enemy.” Brady doesn’t think Chloe has an interest in sleeping with Philip. He was talking about business. Xander doesn’t think much of Philip and makes a suggestion to fire Chloe since she’s spending time with the enemy. Brady thinks firing Xander is a better idea. Xander doubts Nicole will like that. Nicole reminds Xander he has no say over personnel. Xandy’s just offering advice. Brady lets him take the day off. Once Xander’s gone, Nicole apologizes. She’ll minimize his interaction with Brady. Brady accuses her of sleeping with him. She admits it’s true. She cheated on her husband and it’s the worst mistake in her life. Brady realizes it’s why she hired Xander. He was blackmailing her. Nicole explains how she got drunk and had sex with Xander because she was heartbroken when Eric called to say he wasn’t returning for another three months to Salem. Brady asks why Xander and she says a theory is that she’s always wanted to sleep with him. She’s not even sure herself anymore if that’s why. Brady knows she was being self-destructive. He’ll keep her secret. They hug. They need to neutralize Xander. Nic still has nightmares. They all thought Sarah changed him.
At the hospital, Kayla tells Steve she can’t give him details about Gwen’s file, but it looks in order. Steve wonders what she thought she’d find. Kayla explains that Tripp saw Gwen with Snyder and she looked upset, “Like maybe Snyder was threatening her.” She claimed he did nothing inappropriate but Kayla feels she’s hiding something. The more they discuss it, the more Steve thinks they’re hiding something. He offers to look into it. By the hub, Tripp hands Snyder a file. The opioid numbers don’t match what was given out last night. Snyder covers and says they’re not up-to-date and that the early crew catches any discrepancies from the previous night in the morning. Tripp finds that counter to what he knows and Snyder tells the intern that it was a good catch. Tripp arrives to talk to Kayla about something work-related. Steve takes off to Julie’s Place. Kay will meet him. Tripp tells Kayla that there are four pills missing from last night and Snyder tried to cover. She’ll look into it.
At Alice’s, Jack notices Gwen’s shaken. “Is it because of the insufferable creep?” Gwen’s not sure what to say. Jack assumes it’s Xander. Gwen admits it’s hard seeing him sauntering around half nude and doing those sweaty workouts. Jack comments that she sounds like Julie. Jack tells Gwen a little about Xander being in love and then dumped on his wedding day. It confirmed his greatest fear of feeling unloved and unwanted. The Kiriakis clan doesn’t embrace him. Jack thinks the bravado is him hiding his pain. “Fact is, all he really wants is to be accepted and loved. Maybe you can relate to that. Maybe, for my sake, you can give him a chance.” He takes off. Snyder arrives with a new package for her to distribute. He wants her help in keeping Tripp’s mouth shut, too. Snyder reveals that he changed her records. Gwen thinks it’s good. He doesn’t have leverage anymore. Snyder says he has proof still. Gwen smiles. Then he’d be in it deep. How about they call it even? She doesn’t want to do his dirty work.
Chloe gets a massage from Philip at the Kiriakis mansion. He calls it one of the many perks he can offer if she comes work for him at Titan. He trashes Xander and she purses her lips. Philip thinks something fishy is going on. He tries to convince her to quit Basic Black but she dislikes Gabi. Philip defends her for being open about her misdeeds. Chloe tells Philip that Gabi slept with Stefan after she started seeing him. Philip didn’t know but it sounds like she did Chloe a favor. Chloe’s not sure they can throw stones in discussions of fidelity. Philip knows Stefan wasn’t good for her anyway. Chloe thinks she has something in common with Gabi. She wants what she can’t have. “You want Brady and his heart still belongs to Kristen.” Philip offers himself. She gets a text. She has that video call with Parker. He’s the only love in her life right now. She goes off and Phil thinks he can change that.

In the square, Jack stops Xander, who tells him how grateful he is for having his back. Xander has his, too. “What does that mean?” Xander flashes to Gwen’s blackmail and says they need to talk about Jack’s daughter. Jack defends Gwen for being rejected by everyone in her life and she shows she’s genuine about being a better person. He asks Xander to give her a chance.
Xander arrives home to Snyder grabbing Gwen’s arm and threatening bodily harm. Xander throws his weight around at Snyder. Gwen kicks Xander out. She’s got this under control. Snyder reminds Xander he has something over Gwen. Xander grabs the letter opener and then Snyder and holds it to his neck, threatening to kill him. Snyder’s horrified and asks him to stop. He appears scared out of his mind. He tells him that he’s got nothing to lose anymore. At one point he did, when he had the love of one woman but she’s gone now. He’s ready to stab Snyder when Gwen yells, “Xander, no!” She tries to talk him down, asking him to be better for Jack. She asks him to let Snyder go. He does, and when he does, Snyder clutches his chest and dies of a heart attack.
Kayla meets Steve at Julie’s Place. Kay admits she thinks Snyder’s stealing medication. “A few every day for at least six months.” Kayla needs to prove it and find out if he has an accomplice. Steve wonders if it’s got anything to do with Gwen, just as Jack walks up.
