In the Monday, June 21, 2021, full episode recap of Days of our Lives, Kate wants Jake to make love to her, Sami lies to EJ, and Xander thinks he and Nicole need to find the dirt on Sami before she outs Nicole for cheating. In case you missed out, on Friday’s Days of our Lives episode, EJ asked his brothers to overthrow Jake at DiMera.
At the mansion, Gabi yells at Chad that Jake is with Kate in his bedroom. Chad flashes to Kate telling him that she’s sticking it to Gabi and Jake by pretending to be blind, but he tells Gabi that she’s blind. He taunts her. “You never know what’s going on behind closed doors.” She tells him to shut up. Meanwhile, upstairs, Kate hugs Jake and asks him to make love to her. He pushes away and tells her she just got home from the hospital. Maybe it’s not a good idea. She relays that Dr. Snyder didn’t tell her she couldn’t have sex. He refuses again and she thinks it’s because of Gabi. He lies that it isn’t. She finally gets him to hold her in bed and he looks as though he wants to be anywhere but there.
In the foyer, Sami lies that Lucas wants to stay at the mansion to be close to his mother. EJ doesn’t see anything wrong with that. Why does Sami have a problem with it? Sami lies that she worried he’d be jealous. EJ says she and Lucas have been over for years. He’s fine with Lucas living there. Sami snipes that she doesn’t want Lucas’ negativity ruining their happiness. EJ admits Lucas can be rude but he was right about how EJ has been treating Sami. He heads into the lounge and overhears Gabi and EJ talking about EJ and Sami moving in. She’s shocked but EJ tells her he owned this house well before her. Outside, Lucas and Sami repeat their old argument about how Sami wants to make her marriage work and Lucas wants her back. Lucas goes and Gabi appears. She notices Sami’s upset and asks if she can help. After all, she’s Ari’s grandmother. Sami thanks Gabi and admits she wanted to focus on working on her marriage to EJ but being there. “It’s just a lot of distractions, you know.” Gabi gets it. She can’t be with the man she loves. “You mean Jake,” Sami says. Gabi says Jake’s trying to be noble and stay with Kate until she settles into being blind. Gabi worries what’ll happen if Jake says no to making love. She can’t take it anymore and wishes Sami good luck before she heads up to Jake’s room.
Nicole walks in on Xander at Basic Black looking at a skin magazine called Play Pen. She finds it disgusting. He shrugs. It’s research for a new lingerie line. She grabs the magazine and tosses it. He wants job security. She hands over the receipt she dummied up to convince Sami that she got her own room at Salem Inn. Xandy finds that clever but Nicole knows Sami won’t stop until she finds out the truth. Xander thinks she’s overacting but if Sami finds out the truth, “Guess what? You’re out of a job.” Xander thinks they need to find out some leverage on Sami. “It’s too bad she didn’t cheat on her husband the way you did.” He gasps. “Wait a minute. Is that so far-fetched?” He recalls her cheating on Rafe with EJ. “She also slept with Rafe when he was with Hope,” Nicole says. She doesn’t think Rafe would sleep with Sami because of Ava but they both consider Lucas. Xander recalls finding them with the tension between them. “Maybe it was of the…sexual variety.”
At the Kiriakis mansion, Philip asks if she’d like a video chat with Parker once he’s out of camp. She’s thrilled that he set it up with her mother. Brady arrives. “Victor’s out by the pool,” he says. Brady has Basic Black business to discuss with Chloe and asks for privacy. Philip points out that Chloe hasn’t finished breakfast. Chloe thanks Philip but she does need to catch up. He goes and Brady reveals that Nic hired Xander. Philip listens from outside the door as they ponder why Nicole would do that.

Upstairs at the DiMera mansion, Lucas visits Kate. Jake learns his half-brother is moving in. Downstairs, EJ asks Chad if he’s ready to take control of their father’s company. Sami interrupts and EJ kisses her. Upstairs, Jake leaves the room and finds Gabi furiously waiting outside. He doesn’t like that EJ’s moving in. Gabi says he asked her nicely and she allowed it. Jake wonders what he wants. Gabi thinks he’s being paranoid but Jake heard he’s a killer in the business world and thinks he wants to take back DiMera. Downstairs, Chad and EJ finish their business discussion and Chad goes. EJ’s glad to be back in the family home with his beautiful wife by his side. He wants to connect emotionally with her. They kiss and he holds her close.
