On today’s full episode recap of Days of our Lives, Nicole cries on Rafe’s shoulder after her reveal, and Jack vows to Gwen that he won’t dispute the paternity results but that her story is full of holes, plus, Dr. Raynor reveals to Eli and Lani that she was blackmailed…
Outside the pub, Nicole sobs in Rafe’s arms because Eric agreed to stay with the mission for three more months. He didn’t even ask her. He just announced it. Rafe tries to defend Eric, “Maybe he felt like he was between a rock and a hard place.” Nicole wonders what that makes her. Rafe says Eric loves her. He’ll come back to her. Rafe takes her home for coffee and support.

At the hospital, Gwen tells Jack that the hospital ran the paternity test twice. It’s confirmed that she’s his daughter. Jack’s shocked. Gwen blames him for who she is today. Jack says he won’t challenge the results of the test, but he swears he never turned her mother away, nor did he instruct his secretary to pay her off. Jack says Gladys never knew her mother. “She never wrote her a single check.” Gwen snatches the results and snipes that somebody’s lying and it isn’t her. Jack vows he’ll get to the bottom of this. Jack says she’ll forgive him if he doesn’t welcome her into their family, considering all of the horrible things she’s done to them. Gwen tries to defend herself. “Don’t you dare talk to me about morality,” she yells. Jack reminds her they’re in public and tells her to shut up. Gwen doesn’t give a crap. She’s not finished with him yet. She knows she’s a chip off the old block, knowing his mother abandoned him. When Jack softens and admits it was difficult, Gwen suddenly doesn’t want to share stories. She tears up, thinking he’s tickled that he didn’t have to know her. Jack only wants to know what she has in store for them next. He offers to give her money to get lost and she looks hurt.
Laura tells her daughter that she read about Gwen’s affair with Chad. Abigail admits that Gwen twisted the story. Laura holds Abigail’s hand and when she learns that Gwen’s claiming that she’s Jack’s biological daughter. Laura looks around, uneasily as Jennifer reveals the entire story, and then makes a big admission. “I never thought I would have to tell you this.” Laura was the secretary who sent all the checks to Tiffany. Laura confesses that she returned to Salem to do damage control. She wanted to stop Miss Rizczech from revealing she was Jack’s kid. As they talk, Laura is horrified to learn that Abigail knows about her and Jack having sex back then. She flashes back to Laura urging Jennifer to forgive Jack. Jenn told her mom that she was with Peter now, though she forgives her mom for sleeping with Jack, knowing full well that Laura didn’t know he was her husband. The point is that she can’t rationalize the fact that Jack cheated on her, even if she didn’t know who Laura was. Jenn left the room to give Abigail her dinner and Laura answered the door to Tiffany. In the present, Jenn’s shocked. Tiffany really did go looking for Jack. Laura flashes back again to Tiffany’s reveal that Jack got her knocked up and she had his child. It confirms Gwen’s story. Laura flashes back again. Tiffany saw Jack and Jennifer on television and says she lost her job and is about to lose her apartment. She needs cash. Laura says that when Jack invited Jennifer to dinner, Laura thought that they were moving toward a reunion. Laura couldn’t risk letting their progress go. Laura refused to let Jennifer get hurt again. Laura flashes back once more to meet Tiffany at the pub. She lied that Jack couldn’t make it. When she saw the photo of Gwen, she knew the girl was Jack’s. Laura paid her off and she never saw or heard from her again. Laura noticed a few years ago that she stopped cashing the checks because she passed on. Laura sobs her apology.

In Chicago, Eli and Lani watch a park bench, waiting for Xander to meet Dr. Raynor. Raynor shows and when Xander doesn’t, she begins to feel she’s been set up. She’s about to leave when Eli and Lani confront her. After giving her a scare, she reveals she did take the twins and was blackmailed by a man who called her last October and forced her to take the babies, or he’d tell her new employer that she switched children at birth at University Hospital.
Nicole spills coffee all over Duke, the bear she won for him on his birthday. She apologizes and he fakes the bear’s voice, which makes her laugh.
Ivan returns home and calls his Madame, “I’m home.”
The next time on Days of our Lives, Chad threatens Gwen.
