Stacy Haiduk has portrayed Kristen DiMera and Susan Banks on Days of our Lives since 2018, replacing Eileen Davidson who originated the role in May 1993. Davidson was no stranger to soaps and had already been playing Ashley Abbott on CBS’ Young and Restless since March 1982, and when she returned to the soap, she was unable to make an appearance on the NBC soap. They had to recast.
Ironically, Haiduk had just come off portraying crazy Patty Williams and sexy Dr. Emily Peterson on Y&R in 2010 before accepting a role on Days as Prison Warden Smith. Haiduk has no issues portraying a sexy bombshell, or the quirky, lovable weirdo Susan Banks and this video prove she adores this role.
