Days of our Lives recap for Friday, November 25, 2022.
In today’s Days episode, Rafe comforts EJ, Jada flies off the handle at Nicole, Xander gets counsel from Gwen, and Sarah asks Xander what he’s done.
In the last Days recap, it was still Thanksgiving in Salem and Alex and Stephanie had a sweet date, Rafe had Gabi and Li over for dinner, and Nicole dined with Abe and Paulina as Marlena comforted EJ while they talked about how special Susan was.
EJ grieves his mother as he sets flowers down on the side of the road where Ava ran over the side of the cliff.
He paces and drinks from a flask. Night falls and Rafe turns up. He thought he might find him there.
EJ’s snide about Rafe’s crack detective skills. Rafe needs the statement.
He provides it. Rafe says though he could, he won’t arrest him for obstruction of justice, for hindering his investigation.
EJ appreciates it. He hands his flask over. They discuss Rafe’s marriage ending.
EJ isn’t in the mood to gloat and guesses it has something to do with “Samanther’s twin brother.”
Rafe says yep. But there seems to already be trouble in paradise. Rafe gets a call and has to go back to the station.
He asks EJ to come but EJ will tomorrow. Rafe says not to drive drunk. EJ’s driver is parked down the road.
He doesn’t want to end up like his mother.
Eric arrives at Marlena’s door. “Happy Thanksgiving, honey,” she says. They embrace and once inside, he apologizes.
He heard about Susan. Marlena’s been thinking of her and motions to the Marlena doll.
She apologizes for not hosting tonight. He tells her he’s going to be a dad. Marlena’s stunned. She embraces him.
“It’s wonderful news,” she says. He heard the hesitation and knows it was because he hardly knows Jada and that it wasn’t planned.
But she wants to keep the baby. Kate helped her with the decision.
He calls it complicated because of Nicole. He didn’t mean to lead Jada on. They agree things could work out.
He hasn’t told Nicole that yet. He hopes she doesn’t feel threatened by this baby.
Marlena urges her son to talk to her. He’s going there next. She knows it’ll be difficult.
He knows they’ll find a way to work this out. Eric goes and the Marlena doll falls to the middle of the floor, hard.
Marlena picks it up and wonders how that happened. She finds it strange and looks upward.
In her room above the pub, Jada unpacks. Nicole arrives. She overheard that she and Eric were going to keep the baby and raise it together.
Nicole didn’t want to spoil the moment by talking about how Eric broke up with Jada to be with her. Jada starts yelling.
She has enough self-respect not to want to be with a man who wants someone else.
Nicole is sorry. They never meant for this to happen. “Oh please. Just shut the hell up!” Nicole says, “Excuse me?”
Jada thinks Nic got exactly what she wanted. Her fake sympathy makes it worse. Nicole apologizes again.
Jada asks her to put herself into her shoes.
She’s been through a lot, seeing Nicole look for reasons to be close to Eric, hiring him, Eric kissing Nicole, then he dumped her just before she learned she was pregnant.
Nic says, “You seem very angry.” Jada snaps. Why the hell wouldn’t she be?
Nicole asks why she’d want to have a kid with him that’ll tie her to him forever.
Nic seems to try to talk her out of it, telling her how hard it was a single mother.
How this will affect her career. Jada says Rafe told her she can take as much time off as she wants. Nic asks if it comes with pay.
Jada doesn’t know. Nic thinks it’ll set her career back and once she returns from her time off, she’ll be exhausted and feel guilty for working and not being with the baby.
Eric will be there 100% but it’s still hard. Nic claims she wants to find a way to work it out. Jada yells for her to get out.
Nicole leaves Jada feeling stressed out.
Maggie arrives at the no-tell-motel with leftovers. Sarah says Xander’s out getting some air.
Maggie says there are loads of leftovers because of the drama with Bonnie.
Sarah assumes Victor gave her a hard time and Bonnie was on edge. She says the clown was wearing a blue business suit and a clown mask.
Sarah looks over at Xander’s suit. “Kinda like this one?”
She thinks it’s possible Xander was the clown but Maggie insists he’s not that man anymore.
Sarah says it doesn’t feel right. Why would the clown have kept the women in the Kiriakis shed?
And Victor didn’t know the name of the company Xander worked for. Maybe he made it up because he was working for Ava Vitali?
Maggie doesn’t believe it and feels bad for being skeptical earlier about Xander’s job. She doesn’t like that she planted this seed.
She asks her daughter to trust that he’s being honest unless she has evidence to the contrary.
Maggie doubts he’d do anything to risk losing her again. They hug and say I love yous before Mag Mags goes.

Xander arrives at Alice’s. He asks Gwen if they’re alone.
Gwen tells him Jack and Chad took the kids to see Jennifer in NYC, “And the old bat and her husband have been asleep for hours.”
She thinks he looks terrible. He feels that his whole life will go up in smoke and doesn’t know what to do.
She encourages him to get it all out. Xander knows she heard about Ava and Susan’s car wreck.
He fills Gwen in on the entire kidnapping and how he can’t bear to disappoint Sarah once again so he let Susan go.
He’s not sure exactly how the rest went down. Gwen says this isn’t his fault. Xander’s not so sure.
Gwen tries to convince him otherwise. Xander thought Susan would have gone to the cops.
He almost confessed to Sarah. Then he heard the news. “I terrorized her, drugged her, and tied her up.
I’m not a changed man, Gwen. I’m the same worthless piece of garbage I’ve always been.”
Gwen says his intentions were good. He was trying to be a provider. Bonnie never saw him and Gwen won’t tell anyone.
Xander’s shocked considering what they’ve been through. She still cares for him and understands him more than anyone.
That’s why he’s there. She promises his secret is safe with her.
At SPD, Rafe’s surprised to see Jada there. She’s catching up on paperwork while clearing her head. He asks if she’s okay.
She tries to shrug it off. She notices he’s not wearing his wedding ring.
He tells her he and Nicole are divorcing. Jada’s sorry. He doesn’t want to drag it out, even if Nicole doesn’t wind up with Eric.
Jada tells him she was going to go through with the pregnancy but now she’s considering what her life will really be like.
She realized she can’t do it after all.
Eric runs into Nicole at the square. He tells her Jada decided to have the baby but it won’t change anything between them.
“Are you sure?” He says his relationship with Jada is over, they’ll co-parent and he loves only Nicole. She feels the same.
They hug. He promises it’ll be okay.
Xander returns home and he feels better.
Sarah opens the bag of leftovers from Maggie. He’s starving.
She asks if he can tell her if he was the clown that kidnapped Bonnie and Susan.
Back at the scene of the crash, EJ hears a rustling in the woods.
“Mother?”
