Monday, Jan 8, 2024: Today on Bold and the Beautiful, Thomas asks Steffy to get her husband to back down, Luna asks Poppy about her date, and Xander repeats his accusations to Finn.
Friday’s Early B&B recap: Thomas confronted Finn, who vows that as long as he is alive, Thomas will not be with Hope.
In Finn’s office, he tells Thomas that Hope deserves a relationship with a man that she can trust and depend on.
He doesn’t think that Thomas is that man.
Thomas shakes his head and says no one needs to worry about Hope.
He urges the doctor to pay attention to his actions.
He and Hope are really a couple and she is his future.
Finn says he felt that way before and she didn’t.
Thomas is sure that Xander has tripped him up, but urges him to remember that they are family.
He hopes that he won’t let Xander drive a wedge between them.
The doctor doesn’t want to debate this. He wants the truth and won’t get that from Thomas or Xander.
Thomas repeats that what Xander said is false.
Besides, Hope is no damsel in distress and can make her own decisions.
“She’s making the wrong one with you,” says Finn.
In the Forrester salon, Steffy drinks water and thinks of her husband worrying about how dangerous Thomas is.
She told her husband to drop this and her brother was not to blame for Emma’s death.
Poppy stops by the design office to see her daughter.
Luna is dying to know how her date with Bill went.
Having her a latte, Poppy says it was lovely to reconnect with him.
They met years ago. She meets lots of people on the craft fair circuit.
That doesn’t sound like Bill’s scene to Luna so her mom admits it was at a music festival.
Poppy asks her to help at her booth this weekend and Luna asks if she can take RJ along.
A note is pushed through the door.
Luna opens it and tells her mom she will have to have enchiladas without her because she’s been asked to dinner in the salon.
She starts to worry about what to wear.
Her mom reminds her that she works in a fashion house.
Pulling out the racks, Luna does a little fashion show trying on different outfits.
She decides on one with a giant bow.
Her mom says that she’ll take RJ’s breath away and he’s lucky.
Luna gushes about how thoughtful and caring RJ is.
He pays attention to every detail.
Her mom says she sounds like a girl in love and urges her to enjoy it.
Giggling Luna says she’s been waiting her entire life for a guy like RJ.

B&B January comings and goings
In the big office, Zende gets snarky when RJ shows up.
RJ understands that he’s upset because he wanted to finish Eric’s line with Ridge.
He says they can all work together on that.
This doesn’t go over well with Zende.
He asks RJ if Ridge needs him to draw the way Eric did.
“You’re a draughtsman, I’m a designer,” Zende explains.
RJ looks confused.
Zende thinks it’s great that he’s interested in design but this is different.
RJ just thinks they should all work together for their granddad’s sake.
Zende understands now why RJ was brought in to work with Eric, but it’s also clear that he’s been given more opportunity than anyone else because he’s “the golden child.”
RJ shakes his head.
He knows how lucky he is and isn’t taking this for granted.
Zende tells him it’s not luck, it’s who he is.
RJ can’t follow this argument since they are both Forresters.
Zende tells him he doesn’t have the chops to work on a historic collection.
He tells him he’s entitled and doing all the things a rich Forrester does.
RJ is fed up with trying to see this from his perspective and flounces off.
Zende smirks.
Later, Steffy wanders in when the office is empty.
Thomas rushes in and tells his sister he just got an earful from her husband.
Her husband thinks he’s been corrupting Hope.
Steffy wouldn’t go that far but she has changed.
Thomas says that her husband thinks he’s not good enough for Hope.
He’s sure that he and Hope can have a wonderful relationship.
Douglas would love that so he urges her to convince her husband to stop interfering.
RJ goes to the hospital to see his granddad but the nurse says he’s off getting tests.
He can’t wait to see him.
She tells him he’s a wonderful grandson to visit so often and he smiles bashfully.
Luna heads into the salon, which has been elaborately set for dinner.
She checks her breath and pops a mint.
She’s surprised when Zende strolls in.
She asks if she’s seen RJ since he arranged to meet her there.
Zende makes it clear the note was from him and he’s really looking forward to their evening together.
Xander is looking at articles about Hope and Thomas on the internet and recalls telling Finn that Thomas murdered someone.
Xander goes to Finn’s office.
They’re surprised they are meeting again and are both a little freaked out.
Xander can understand if he doesn’t believe him and he can’t prove anything beyond a reasonable doubt.
But Thomas is dangerous and responsible for Emma’s death.
They are both concerned about Hope being in a relationship with Thomas. Xander recounts his murder accusation.
He says he knows what Thomas is capable of and that’s murder.
