Monday, Jan 2, 2024: Today on Bold and the Beautiful, Brooke and Ridge argue about their children’s relationship, Steffy and Brooke agree on something, and Xander fills Finn in about Thomas.
Thursday’s Early B&B recap: Thomas proposed to Hope, Xander Avant told Finn Thomas is a murderer.
Finn squints in his office as Xander tells him that Thomas is not a good guy.
He’s a killer.
The doctor finds this hard to swallow. He has to sit down.
Xander says that Emma Barber was totally innocent and didn’t deserve what Thomas did to her.
Finn isn’t naïve about his brother-in-law but this is a bit much.
Xander says it’s his call on whether to believe him or not, but Emma had her whole life ahead of her and now she’s gone.
Finn asks how she died. Xander says it was a car crash that Thomas was responsible for.
In the design office, Thomas is on his knees with a ring box in his hand proposing to Hope.
She’s blinking in disbelief.
She was not expecting this.
He tells her that all she has to do is say yes.
He’s devoted to her alone.
He wants her to be his forever.
She thinks this is incredible and sweet and she had no idea he had this planned.
He knows this isn’t the ideal location for this but they have so many good memories there.
She tells him he always makes her feel special.
He puts her first and she’s never had that before.
Hope never has to question his devotion and love.
Taking his hand, she tells him she can’t accept his proposal.
She can’t make this level of commitment to anyone right now.
She’s touched that he wants to spend the rest of his life with her.
She loves their time together. Every moment is magical.
But she’s not ready for that level of commitment.
She’s still getting closure from her marriage ending, needs to think of Beth and who she is.
She’s sorry but she’s not ready for this yet.
He tells her she doesn’t have to apologize.
He understands and wants her to have the ring.
He puts it on a necklace so she can wear it next to her heart until she’s ready.
He believes in them but doesn’t want to put any pressure on her.
He can always feel their love… he just has to wait.
He’s waited for years already and can wait longer. They kiss.

B&B January comings and goings
In the main office, Brooke walks in as Steffy and Ridge are arguing about Hope and Thomas.
Steffy insists there’s no way that Hope is getting serious about her brother.
“Let’s hope you’re right,” Brooke chimes in.
The topic changes to Eric and how he’s meeting his markers before Brooke returns to saying she’s happy that she and Steffy agree about Hope and Thomas.
Steffy says that Hope is Thomas’ kryptonite and could cause him real problems.
Neither of them has any faith in Hope and Thomas’ relationship.
Ridge insists his son has changed and won’t crack.
Steffy doesn’t want Hope playing with her brother’s heart.
After Steffy exits, Ridge tells Brooke that she’s started to sound like his mother since their kids started dating.
She tells him he was nothing like Thomas.
Brooke doesn’t want this to cause a rift between them.
He knows she means well and believes she wants to protect his son.
But he doesn’t think their kids being together is the worst thing.
Maybe they are destined to be together? Brooke doesn’t like the sound of that.
He’s sure their kids have some tough waters to navigate, but maybe they should be together.
He’s concerned that it could all blow up but they need to assume the kids know what they are doing.
Brooke doubts that deep down her daughter will ever be able to commit to Thomas.
Steffy arrives at Finn’s office and gives him a kiss.
He tells her this guy came in and said he knew her.
She’s surprised to hear Xander is back and crosses the room.
The doctor explains that he had no idea who he was but freaked out when he realized he was married to Steffy.
Xander made a serious accusation against her brother.
She asks if Xander told him about baby Beth.
He was involved in all the lies.
That’s why they had to let him go.
That’s not a chapter in her life she likes to think about.
He reminds her that her brother was at the center of it.
She says her brother has grown and changed and Hope has miraculously forgiven him.
Finn says it’s a miracle alright.
He’s not convinced by her brother.
She’s startled when he explains that Xander accused Thomas of murder.
