Fri Oct 6 recap of B&B: Ridge thinks his father is fine, Luna tells RJ much grateful she is to know him, and Deacon offers to help Sheila.
Thursday’s B&B recap: Donna confessed to RJ and Hope broke down sobbing when Finn suggested she only wants Thomas for one reason.
After hugging Finn at the cliff house, Hope apologizes for getting so emotional. He understands.
Steffy went through the same thing.
That’s why he assumes she’s turned to Thomas.
He knows Thomas is committed to her but he knows she can do better.
Maybe he has reformed, but she’s still incredible and deserves better.
The doctor thinks that whatever she appreciates in Thomas is because she’s been deprived of a devoted man.
Hope thanks him for that and assures him that Steffy is smart enough not to take his love for granted.
She says it’s been good talking to him.
He tells her how wonderful and beautiful she is.
She deserves a man who will give her his whole heart and it’s not Thomas.
In their apartment, Deacon and Sheila toast to their engagement with champagne.
He teases her about making him work for her agreement.
She reminds him it was because she was worried this could cost him his relationship with Hope.
When Sheila suggests they save the cork, Deacon is surprised she’s so sentimental.
It means a lot to her that she thinks he’s changed.
She just wants Finn to believe that too.
Maybe her engagement will show Finn she’s lovable.
Sheila assures “Daddy” that’s not the reason she agreed, but she hopes he can see she’s not a monster.
He’ll help any way he can.
Deacon goes down to Il Giardino and calls Finn over.
When the doctor arrives, Deacon tells him he called about Steffy.
He tells the doctor that he can insure that Sheila will never be an issue for him.
Deacon explains how he has turned his life around.
Sheila comes out and takes Deacon’s hand.
Finn is confused.
Sheila explains she has finally found someone who accepts and loves her.
She’s happy and hopes he can be happy for her.
At Forrester Creations, Ridge and Carter are shocked when they look at Eric’s budget.
Eric and Donna arrive.
He laughs at his son and assumes he’s shocked by all the diamonds he’s getting.
Ridge worries they could clash with the classical design.
Eric is defiant and confident this will only prove his power as a designer.
The father and son bicker and laugh.
As Eric brags about how he will beat his son and get back what’s rightfully his, Donna notices his hand trembling.
They hurry out.
Ridge tells Carter it looks like his dad is doing great and they’re worried about nothing.

Daily B&B spoilers into October
In the office down the hall, Luna notices that RJ seems glum and assumes it’s about Eric.
He explains that he spoke to his aunt and Donna confirmed the situation may be worse than they’d thought.
The doctor says it could be TIA or Cerebrovascular disease.
She’s sorry. Does anyone else know?
He says more tests need to be run. From what he’s read online, things don’t look good.
She tells him about the power of positivity and motivation.
Hugging him, she tells him how lucky his grandfather is to have him.
Luna is really grateful for the opportunity to work there and the chance to get to know him better.
He gets called off to receiving but tells her how happy he is to have her at Forrester.
As soon as he leaves, her mom calls and orders her to come home immediately.
She can’t be at Forrester Creations and she knows her aunt Li will let her have it.
Luna insists she’s following her dreams but her mom says it will all come to a crashing halt.
RJ returns and notices she’s upset.
Hope goes to the office and thinks about Finn hugging her and telling her she deserves better than Thomas.
Eric and Donna go home.
He takes some pills and she assures him he has the best doctors and nothing will hold him back.
He declares nothing will hold him back and starts coughing.
She holds him and he thinks of coughing up blood.
When she brings up how light he was with Ridge earlier, she wonders if that was dark humor.
Eric is determined to laugh his way through the rest of his life.
He can only do that because of her and how much they love each other.
They hug.
