In the Thursday, February 9, 2023, full episode recap of CBS’ Bold and the Beautiful, Steffy worries about Thomas, Taylor mulls over moving in with Brooke, and Thomas spends some time with his son.
We also have Wednesday’s B&B recap where Brooke startled Taylor awake and asked her to move in with her as Deacon snuck into Bill’s mansion.
With her hands in her pockets and pivoting on her heels, Taylor doesn’t know how to answer Brooke’s invitation to move in.
Brooke urges her to say “yes” but Taylor wonders what will happen if Ridge returns. They both still love him.
Taylor says they can’t put their lives on hold for him again. She’s over waiting for what he wants.
Besides, she’s sure that he will come back for Brooke, destiny and all.
Brooke admits there was a time when that was all she wanted but not anymore. She doesn’t want to be chosen; she wants to be choosing.
She’s choosing to be the best friend possible for Taylor.
Sitting on the couch, Brooke says they need to make another pact to agree not to fall for the same man again.
Giggling, Taylor shakes on that but doesn’t think it will happen for awhile.
Brooke admits she used to be afraid of not having a man to love her, but not any longer. Taylor feels the same.
Her friend says they need to be good role models for their daughters so the cycle will stop. They shake on that too.
Taylor is still blown away by her invitation to move in but needs to think about it. She might be alone, but she’s not lonely, not with a friend like Brooke.

In the cabin, Hope and Liam stand by and stares as Thomas draws with his son.
After Hope glares at him enough, Thomas realizes he’s supposed to go.
He gets up and says goodnight to his son, sending him off to grab his basketball from the car.
Thomas thanks the couple for the supervised visit. He tells them he doesn’t have much and he needs his son.
That’s why he had some papers drawn up.
He can’t take them dictating to him. They remind him he doesn’t even have a house.
Thomas says he can buy one. He’s been good about sharing his son but it needs to be fair.
He hands her the papers he had drawn up.
She’s appalled that he’s suggesting they let Douglas decide where to live.
Thomas is sure that his son is smart enough to decide. This is the fairest thing.
Douglas returns with his ball and asks what’s going on. His father tells him how much he loves and misses him.
There are plans for how he can see him more and he will fill him in later.
After Thomas takes off, Douglas says seeing his dad was okay. She knows how hard all the back and forth has been for him.
Taking his hands, she tells him she doesn’t want him to feel he’s lost in the shuffle. They need to have a discussion of how to make his living situation more permanent.
As they sit down, they rehash what happened. Douglas admits the lies about Brooke made him sad.
They tell him he’s the greatest and they love him. Hope assures him he won’t hurt their feelings if he chooses to live with his father rather than them.
He says he would rather live with her. Liam smiles. Hope’s relieved and says they will work this out.
After Douglas goes to bed, Hope says this will mean they will have full custody and will no longer need to jump through Thomas’ hoops.
Liam says it seems straightforward but he’s wary. She’s sure this can make Douglas’ dreams come true.
“Tomorrow Douglas could be ours,” she says.
Steffy and Finn enter their house fresh from the hot tub. They make out.
That feels good. Steffy also feels good to know Brooke will be there for her mom.
The topic turns to her brother. She knows he’ll always be a worry and can understand why Hope wants nothing to do with him.
Steffy goes on about how Thomas was Douglas’ hero. She worries the kid may never be able to look at his father the same way again.
Sitting on the couch, he massages her feet and she keeps worrying. She’s sure her brother still wants to play a role in his son’s life.
Thomas blows in and asks his sister to he his witness tomorrow. He just proposed to let Douglas decide who to live with and they need to meet with a judge.
Finn and Steffy are skeptical about the wisdom of this. She agrees to be his witness but warns that he should be prepared to be let down. He could lose complete custody.
