Friday’s GH recap: Sonny and Nina announced their elopement and invited their children, and Alexis was enlisted to dig into Judge Kim.
At the Deception office, Lucy and Maxie vent about the journalists coming after them. Scott joins them as Maxie urges her to take Tracy’s deal.
Scott says she needs to keep her hands on her chunk of ELQ. Maxie doesn’t think that will feed her partners.
The lawyer gives Lucy a pep talk but she worries the company could go under.
She can survive that but can’t do it to Maxie.
They keep debating this until Maxie returns. The topic turns to the Sasha situation.
Once they recap what happened, Scott takes off.
Lucy tells Maxie she’s been doing a lot of thinking… Maxie cuts her off and suggests they find a buyer.
Lucy tells her to call the staff together instead.
Once the staff arrives, they have to wait for Lucy.
Scott arrives and explains Lucy called him back.
Lucy wanders in and thanks everyone for their hard work.
They have been hit with a lawsuit that threatens their future.
That means hard decisions that will affect all of them.
Lucy explains the deal on the table.
There is a way for them to retain 49 percent and keep the company going.
They are like a family to her so she wants them all to fight together.
No one can beat them. They all clap.
Maxie hugs her.
After the staff file out, Maxie thanks Lucy.
Scott thinks this is crazy, but it’s his kind of crazy.
A woman reads about BLQ being fired.
At The Invader, Alexis and Gregory try to settle into work when Finn shows up, wanting to steal his dad away for a coffee.
Gregory suggests dinner later but his son thinks this is urgent and Alexis chases them out.
Once they are gone, Carly bustles in, eager to hear about what she’s learned about Judge Kim.
Alexis says she thinks there’s a strong possibility there has been a miscarriage of justice.
She says that the judge is a good jurist but he does rule in favor of special interests.
There’s no proof of corruption though.
Carly claims she has some.
A regular at Kelly’s is a pilot who flew the judge to the Caribbean with a rich guy.
The pilot gave her dates and times and Alexis gets them confirmed.
This might be enough but it depends on how they present it.
If they give the judge enough rope, he should incriminate himself.
Finn takes Gregory to the park and breaks the news that Chase knows of his illness.
The doctor explains it happened by mistake. Tracy let it slip.
Gregory assures his son this isn’t his fault.
He should have told Chase himself and not delayed this so long.
He feels like he’s been a coward. Imagining the pain that it would cause Chase has filled him with dread.
Maybe protecting Chase was a way of keeping himself in denial.
Finn tells him he’s the best father and he will do whatever Chase needs.
BLQ arrives at home and finds Chase looking miserable.
He explains that he got bad news at the hospital it wasn’t something he expected.
“My dad is dying,” he says. Finn and Tracy knew before him.
It was kept from him like he was a child.
The cop fills her in on the ALS.
He was looking at photos of him on his phone and how vital he’s always looked.
Soon, his dad will be in a wheelchair.
He can’t help thinking about when he was in a wheelchair and how much he looked forward to getting out. His father will never experience that.
She says they will learn everything they can to help. He can’t face that now.
She feels really bad given how good Gregory has been to her.
BLQ needs to slip out. He thanks her for listening.
Once she’s gone, he looks at pictures of his father on his phone and weeps.
Gregory arrives.
