Monday, August 21 recap of B&B: Brooke and Ridge debate what’s best for Hope, Liam urges Hope to go back to the way she was, and Steffy asks Thomas what’s next for him.
Friday’s B&B recap: Before filing divorce papers, Liam reminded Hope of everything Thomas did to them and said she’s too good for him.
In the cabin, Liam urges Hope to “step out of the fog” and see Thomas for who he really is.
If there was ever a day to do that, it’s Beth’s birthday.
He knows Thomas is a brilliant designer, but has lost her “damn mind” getting involved with him.
He’s worried about her judgment and begs her not to be defensive, but just take a step back and recognize Thomas for who he is.
Liam gets back to talking about Beth and her giggles. Getting dour, he says he’s tried to make sense of what’s happened. But seeing her kiss Thomas in Rome…
She apologizes. She didn’t mean to hurt him. Liam knows and thinks she’s lost herself. He wants to help her find her way back and takes her hand.
Liam says she’s “too good” and always believes the best in people.
Hope says she fell in love with him because he tries to live that way.
He says you can’t extend that to Thomas.
You have to step away. There’s a path back to where she was.
At Eric’s, Thomas checks in on his sister. They chat about the kids and the party.
He’s glad he moved them to somewhere they feel safe.
She says it’s hard…for Liam and Hope too.
She asks what is going on between him and Hope.
Now that the divorce papers have been signed, what does that mean for him?
Steffy reminds him that he’s done nothing wrong this time.
He admits he has no idea what’s going on. He just wants Hope to be happy.
His sister asks if he’d be okay with her reconciling with Liam.
He’d be find with that but he doubts it will happen.
It’s only a matter of time before that marriage is over. His sister assumes he’ll be waiting.

Daily B&B spoilers into August
At Forrester Creations, Brooke and Ridge are canoodling.
He apologizes for not making it to the birthday party.
She shows him pictures and talks about what a miracle Beth is.
She hopes that won’t be lost on Hope and Liam and Beth can make another miracle happen.
Seeing them together at the party was promising.
Even if they’ve signed divorce papers, you could still see the love between them.
She says circumstances have changed in the worst way possible.
He guesses she’s talking about his son. Brooke knows this is a terrible situation but she’s sure that Liam and Hope can be stronger than ever.
None of this would have happened if it weren’t for Thomas.
He reminds her that her daughter instigated things. She knows but says that doesn’t matter. She’s still praying her daughter and Liam reunite.
After she leaves, he gets to work until Thomas arrives.
They chat about the trip to Rome and how hard Thomas has been working.
He asks his son what is going on with Hope.
Liam goes to Eric’s and chats with Steffy about the party.
They chuckle about how lucky they are with their kids and she asks how things went with Hope.
He’s still freaked out that he could never get through to Hope about Thomas.
But today she kind of did.
Brooke stops by the cabin to chat with her daughter about the party.
She reminds her of all she and Liam had gone through to have Beth in their lives.
Brooke admits she’s talking about Thomas. Even if he has changed, they can’t forget what he did. Hope knows and she’s heard it all. Liam said the same things.
They’re glad that Liam only knows about the kiss. Seeing him at the party reminded Hope of what an amazing father he is.
Choking up, she realizes he may be right about her losing her way.
The problem is she doesn’t know who she is anymore.
Brooke is glad to hear this because it means she’s coming back to herself.
She was just swept up with Thomas and can end that to focus on her family. It’s not too late.
Hope thinks about this and looks horrified.
