Wednesday, Jan 3, 2024: Today on Bold and the Beautiful, Luna urges her mom to date Bill, Bill tells Liam about his date, and Thomas tells Hope that Finn has issues with him.
Tuesday’s Early B&B recap: Hope responded to Thomas’ proposal, and Finn told Steffy Xander accused Thomas of murder.
In Finn’s office, Steffy is perplexed when her husband tells her that Xander is convinced that Thomas killed Emma Barber in car accident.
“Is your brother more dangerous than I realized?” he asks.
Steffy says her brother has made terrible choices but not murder.
He notices she’s not that surprised by this accusation though.
His wife is sure that when she explains a few things about Xander, he’ll understand where this is coming from.
She finds all of this weird and random.
Steffy explains that Xander got pulled into what happened with Beth and Thomas threatened him to stay silent about it.
The doctor asks if she’s suggesting Xander is making the murder accusation as payback.
She thinks that’s possible but it’s really irritating.
She feels bad for what happened to Emma but it wasn’t murder.
As he holds her, Steffy asks him to get this out of his mind because she doesn’t want to talk about it.
Xander is wrong and that’s that.
Steffy knows he’s been concerned about her brother but she believes in the good man he is now.
They rehash what Thomas did in the past.
She knows that was horrific and it took her a long time to forgive her brother.
The doctor thinks there is something seriously wrong with her brother.
He supports her supporting him but they need to keep their eyes open.
She gets it and will. That’s why she’s so concerned about Hope triggering him by letting him down.
In the design office, Thomas tells Hope that the ring is where it belongs: beside her heart.
She says that maybe she will be ready for the level of commitment that he wants, but it’s not now.
She hopes he understands.
He’s disappointed and guesses her caught her off-guard and understands that she needs time.
He can keep waiting. He gets it and he’s happy the ring is by her heart.
Hope suggests they keep the proposal between them until she figures things out.
They know how much their families would freak out.
He’s sure Finn, in particular, would have a problem with them.
She wonders why so he tells her about Finn warning him not to speak to Steffy the way he does.
He always wondered how Finn thought of him and now he’s making it clear.
Shuddering, Hope recalls Finn saying she could do better than Thomas.
She’s sure people will come around. He believes in them and what they are building.
Since she didn’t throw his ring back, maybe she feels a little the same.
Imagine how ecstatic their son could be? He will wait and there is no other woman for him, only her.
She stares off, worried.

B&B January comings and goings
At Il Giardino, Liam asks his father why they are eating where he could run into Sheila.
Bill says he wants the “degenerate” to know she is watching. She’s not working today so he will save some up for next time.
Liam wonders why there are only meeting for drinks and not dinner.
Bill says he has a date.
His son wonders if it’s anyone he knows.
Bill says his nephew is married to Steffy.
He explains that he’s certain he knows Poppy after the last time he met her.
He’s looking forward to getting to know her better.
When Liam asks if they “ahemmed,” Bill says he’s not kissing and telling and tells him to go.
Liam leaves, hoping this woman brings him something positive to his life.
In the CEO office at Forrester, nervous Poppy wonders if she should cancel her date.
Luna tells her she can’t and explains to RJ that she’s going out with tycoon Bill.
RJ tells her she should run away as fast as she can.
He didn’t mean to say that out loud but he’s not a Bill fan.
Poppy explains he tracked her down and Luna says he just wants to get to know her.
What does she have to lose?
She’s concerned when she learns that no one in the family likes Bill other than Will.
Her daughter encourages her to just see this as a mystery to solve.
Maybe they really have crossed paths before.
Poppy agrees to go and her daughter hopes they figure out what connects them.
Once Poppy is gone, RJ promises to stop trashing Bill and tells Luna how adorable it is how much she cares about her mom.
She tells him how much her mom sacrificed for her.
She often thinks of how different her life would have been if her father stayed in the picture, whoever he is.
Mostly, she wishes he’d stuck around for her mom, manned up and made a commitment.
Back at Il Giardino, Bill thanks Poppy for joining him.
He hasn’t been able to stop thinking of her and is sure that they met years ago.
She wonders why he’s so certain.
He admits he did some digging and looked at pictures of her online.
It all started coming back to him….the Golden Gate Music Festival where all the guys watched her dance so beautifully.
He knows she was there.
They danced and talked for hours.
It was a very memorable evening and he hasn’t forgotten.
Smiling with her chin perched on her hand, she stares into his eyes.
Something tells him she hasn’t forgotten either.
