In this episode of The Young and the Restless, Chance’s suggestion makes Abby and Devon reminisce, Kyle wants to separate from Summer and Diane kicks herself for meddling. In the previous episode, Nick confronted Nate and Victoria gave his COO job away as Nikki and Victor were angry about Victoria’s choice to get Nick to take a step back from work.

At the lounge at Athletic Club, Ashley tells Tucker Traci’s so sweet but nothing she said changes anything. Tucker can’t believe the hatred doesn’t wear her out.
She doesn’t get him. He asks when she became her brother’s keeper.
He calls the company a yoke around her neck and that she’s bigger than this pettiness. She should make her own legacy — with him. What’ll it take?
He wants her to purge her hate for Diane and thinks once she does, her world will be magnificent again.
Ashley says Diane’s a threat. It’s hard to turn it off. Tucker finds it exhausting that Diane has more space in her head than anything.
“We might as well always get a table for three.”
She’s so sorry that it always isn’t about him. She can’t walk away from the company.
Tucker says she’ll always be miserable then? He suggests they scoop up Jabot and run it themselves.
Ashley doesn’t want her siblings to think she wants to stab them in the back.
She wants to protect the company, her father’s legacy. Tucker suggests she let Diane crash and burn. He likes the idea of building something as a couple. She likes that.
He says they can call it “Simply Ashley.” And they can become the power couple of the decade.
She thinks it’d hit Jack but Tucker says it’s not about Jack. It’s for them. She’s in. He asks Simone for the finest champagne.
At Society, Diane tells Jack she tried to bridge the gap between Kyle and Summer and fears she made it worse.
She says Summer asked for help with Kyle and said it’d go a long way toward making amends.
She flashes back to Kyle arriving at Society and Diane told them that Harrison’s been crying himself to sleep the last few nights.
He came to find his DiDi with tears in his eyes but and reluctantly asked what he was doing to make his mommy and daddy upset.
They tell her she should have come to them right away but she hoped they’d work things out soon.
Jack hates that he blames himself. Diane nods and he asks why she didn’t tell him.
She confesses it’s not true. She told a lie to get them to focus on each other.
Jack’s shocked. She calls it an innocent white lie and flashes back to telling them the lie and that it backfired.
Kyle asks if Summer knew about this. She says no, she sleeps in the pool house.
Kyle says something feels off. Diane tells Jack the whole thing spiraled and she had to admit she exaggerated the situation.
She hoped he’d find a way to forgive Summer and shouldn’t have used their grandson but it wasn’t a total fabrication.
He knows something is up. She says Kyle stormed out after she confessed and Summer followed. Diane’s sorry.
Her feud with Phyllis is at the center of this whole thing which makes Diane feel it’s her fault.
Summer races after Kyle into the mansion and begs him to stop giving her the silent treatment.
She urges him to make a decision. Now.
He doesn’t know what he wants and calls this hell. She agrees it is.
Kyle thinks they need time apart. She says she loves him. Doesn’t he love her?
Kyle says she chose her mom over him. He thinks the meeting at Society was a clever set up and asks if this stunt using Harrison something they cooked up.
Summer says no but she did ask for her help in getting him to forgive her.
She cries that she was desperate and afraid for their marriage.
“Look at where we are now,” he says. She keeps making bad choices.
He thinks they need time apart to see what’s left. “If anything.” She calls it extreme.
She asks what that means — a formal separation? He’s sorry but can’t get beyond her betrayal and repeat lies when all he wanted to do was comfort her.
How could she be so cruel to her? She knows she handled it badly and felt caught.
He takes a drink and says she broke his heart. She assumes he wants her to move out. He does.
They argue about whether or not Phyllis or Diane is the worst and which needs punishment.
Summer realizes she should move out, just as Jack and Diane appear.
They ask for a word with Kyle alone and she takes off in a huff.
Jack and Diane plead with him to change his mind but he barks at his mom for her meddling which has made things worse.
He storms out and Diane blames herself but Jack says though it was the wrong thing to do, Kyle will get over it. He’s colored by his anger for Summer.
It goes back to Phyllis. Diane thinks she’s having a good laugh.
He asks her to stay positive and think of working for Jabot with him. She worries about that, too so he shows her the new press release from Emily.
He sends it out as she watches which perks her up. He doesn’t care if the family is upset about it. They kiss.
Chance arrives at the penthouse and tells Abby and Devon he can’t keep Dominic for the next few days. Someone called in sick and he has a case.
Also, the kid has a hard time going back and forth between homes.

He suggests they all move into the Chancellor mansion and he’ll take an apartment near the station. Then he can visit when he wants. He’s sorry but has to run.
He asks them to talk it over. He still wants to share custody and see him as much as he can.
“I just wanted to put it out there for Dominic’s sake.”
He goes and Abby is wowed. Devon thinks it’s a good thing.
Jill and Nina would live there sometimes.
Would that be weird? Abby thinks so, especially after she broke Nina’s son’s heart.
Devon bought this place for Hilary and flashes to how angry she was when he bought the place for her without asking her first.
She had argued with him.
She wanted a say in his decisions and felt like she was along for the ride.
Devon said he bought it because he loves her.
She admitted it had potential.
He recalls Hamilton-Winters was created there and it’s where Neil died. “I can only imagine,” Abby says.
They reminisce about their memories together. It’s where they realized they were in love with each other.
They think it might be nice to move but they haven’t made a decision yet.
In bed upstairs at GCAC, Tucker and Ashley have had sex and try to figure out a name for their new company.
She suggests Abbott-McCall and he suggests McCabbot Universal.
They laugh and he says, “How about Tashley?” She wants to know how this would work.
She gets champagne and they make out and have sex again.
Downstairs at the Athletic Club lounge, Audra finds Kyle pensive and drinking.
He invites her to stay so he can buy her a drink. He’s had a disaster of a week and wants to shut it out.
She’s been there and they clink glasses.
Summer arrives at Crimson Lights and texts her mother.
She misses her and wishes she knew where she was. She sees Chance sitting with a coffee inside.
He finds her and thinks she could use someone to talk to.
