In this episode of CBS’ The Young and the Restless, Chance lashes out at Summer for letting Phyllis escape, Abby and Devon aren’t happy to hear their parents are marrying, and Chance has no choice but to arrest Nick.
In the previous episode, Nick warned Sally about Cameron, Nate wanted to go public with his relationship with Victoria, and Adam accused Nick of choosing Sharon over Sally.

Nikki arrives at Crimsom Lights and sees Nick working on the espresso machine. He’s filling in for Sharon. They talk about Faith leaving town so Cameron doesn’t hurt her.
He shakes his bruised hand and his mom asks him to have it looked at.
He tells her to leave him alone and she asks if hitting the wall solved anything.
He’s not sure but assumes the man is still in town. He agrees reluctantly to let his dad’s security team take care of this. Nikki calls him an animal.
Cameron winces in his suite at GCAC as he looks in the mirror at his beat-up face.
He flashes to Nick almost hitting him and calls the police to report a crime.
At the penthouse, Devon and Abby talk about Dominic’s musical prowess and the video that Tucker took that was the cutest thing in the world.
Abby says he hasn’t missed a class and wonders if it’s an angle or if he’s proving he wants to be part of their lives. Devon shrugs, knowing he isn’t the most trustworthy. It’s time he put his plan into motion.
At the GCAC bar, Ashley and Tucker discuss how to tell Abby and Devon that they’re engaged.
She has concerns about how they’ll take it but he couldn’t care less.
Abby texts them both to have dinner at Society.
Ashley finds the timing interesting. If they object, Tucker asks what she’ll do. Put the wedding on hold? She wants to cross that bridge when they get to it. They should consider going.
“I like fun things man, l like them a lot more than things that aren’t fun.” Ashley says, “Me too.”
They text back that they’ll be there and decide to be honest about the reason behind the wedding and asks for them to hold their confidence.
At the Abbott house, Diane and Jack discuss giving her a promotion and since their chief talent associate is retiring, she thinks she could throw her hat in the ring.
He thinks she’d be good. Shrewd at reading people. He’ll make it happen. They hug.
Summer meets Daniel in the park and he asks how bad things got with Kyle and their mom.
Summer says Kyle turned her in after finding out she has been lying to him this whole time.
Daniel’s sorry and Summer isn’t sure they’ll come back from this.
She admits their mom wanted to turn herself in but she couldn’t sacrifice her freedom.
In Phyllis’ room, Kyle and Chance don’t find Phyllis who is long gone and Chance has spoken with security about access to their cameras.
Kyle hates this and assumes his wife helped Phyllis escape.
Back at the penthouse, Devon tells Abby she doesn’t have to come with him to dinner with Tucker but she’s fine with it.
Chance storms over to Daniel and Summer at the park and demands they tell him where Phyllis is.
Daniel has no idea and Summer says she doesn’t know. Chance bets Summer let her escape.
Summer asks Daniel to leave them alone and he reluctantly goes before Chance starts griping at Summer for going against the law when they agreed to work together.
Summer tells him that the law can’t help her mother now.
Chance muses that he doesn’t trust her anymore. He can arrest her for false statements, obstruction of justice, and aiding and abetting a murder suspect.
She tells him to do what he needs to do but she doesn’t know where her mom is.
He takes a call and when he disconnects, she asks if it was about her mom. He won’t tell her anything now.
He storms off and Daniel returns. His sister fills him in and they worry.
Summer says the police don’t know that there isn’t someone to corroborate Phyllis’ story about killing Stark being self-defense. She suggests they pay someone to say they saw the whole thing.
Devon, Abby and Tucker and Ashley meet at Society and start talking about how cute Dominic is.
Abby gives them the specials and Ashley tells them the great news.
They’re getting married. Devon looks confused and asks if it’s real. Abby wonders if it’s just for Jack and Diane’s benefit.
Tucker calls it real and says it’ll happen soon. Devon asks if Tucker knows that marriage is a sacred thing. Tucker knows and Abby thinks her mom is sticking it to Diane.
She denies it and they fill the kids in on Phyllis faking her own death. Charges against Diane are dropped. Devon says there’s no way that happened.
When they realize it’s true they can’t believe Ashley’s still trying to drive Diane crazy.
Ashley says they know that Diane can make things hard on them.
She’s hiring Tucker to be a part of their senior management team and is floating the idea of removing Jack as CEO.
She hopes Abby has her back with the board. Abby’s jaw drops and she accuses Tucker of using her mom all over again.
She asks how her mom isn’t disgusted by Tucker. “It isn’t easy,” she drawls but she tells her daughter that Tucker has nothing to do with this.
He admits he’s against this. Devon and Abby apologize for assuming wrongly. Ashley and Tucker decide to leave to let their kids have time to process.
Abby wants to get together with her mom — not to argue but just to talk, later. Once they’re gone, Abby isn’t sure who is worse. His dad for using her mom or her mom for using his dad.

Kyle arrives home and interrupts Jack and Diane drinking wine. He’s upset and they beg him to open up.
He hates to tell them this but lets them know Phyllis has been hiding in a suite at GCAC and Summer knew.
Kyle’s parents are shocked and Jack wants to call the cops but Kyle has and Chance is on it.
They’re speechless when they learn Summer has known for a while. Jack thinks it’s almost unforgivable but Diane doesn’t feel Summer had a choice but to protect his mother.
She tells Kyle to put himself in her shoes in protecting his mother over Summer.
She’s not the villain but a victim just like them. She must have been overwhelmed and thinks Phyllis is to blame for all of this.
She tells Kyle she’s sorry and Summer deserves their compassion and forgiveness.
Kyle nods and calls her amazing. She insists she’s not but they’ve something special and she doesn’t want his marriage tosses aside because Phyllis is a narcissist.
Kyle’s not sure he can get past the lies.
Chance races into Crimson Lights to bark at Nick for not listening to him.
Nick asks what he’s on about and Chance snaps that Cameron Kirsten filed a complaint against him and wants to press battery charges against Nick.
Nick asks why and learns that Cameron is accusing him of hitting him.
Nick says it never happened and since Chance didn’t handle the killing of the cat, he had to do something.
They argue. He has to arrest Nick.
Chance gave Nick the benefit of the doubt when Ashland was killed but he can’t do it again.
From behind Nick, Cameron asks if the detective is going to arrest Nick or stand here yammering.
Nick would like to shake hands with the guy who beat up Cameron.
He didn’t do it and says he hit the wall out of frustration.
Cameron says it’s true but the next three after that did this. He points to his beaten face and Nick sneers.
Chance has no choice but to arrest Nick and take him to the police station.
He cuffs him and Nick leaves, snarling at Cameron. Cameron smiles, thrilled that he was able to set Nick up.

Kyle meets Audra at the bar. “Some people are afraid of their own desires,” she tells him.
Kyle stares at Audra as she waxes on about desire, with a twinkle in his eye.
At Society, Sally is dining with Adam when she doubles over in pain.
Adam asks what’s going on and she yells.
At Sharon’s place, she sobs and tells Nick, “It’s Faith. He took her. He took our baby.”
