Thursday, June 26, Y&R day ahead recap: Kyle removes his wedding band, Jack and Nikki discuss how tough things are for Jack and Jabot, Kyle walks out on Mariah, and Summer gets comfort from Abby, while Billy asks Diane to leave Jabaot.
Wednesday’s Y&R day ahead: Daniel helps Lily settle into the penthouse, Sally pushes Nick to agree to Victor’s job offer, and Adam launches an attack on Newman Media.

Mariah busts into Crimson Lights to get mad at Kyle for not telling her he was leaving Marchetti.
She had to hear it from Tessa who only know since she was the Face of Marchetti.
Kyle explains that it happened after he and Summer separated.
They couldn’t work together so Jack offered to demote him while Summer keeps her job.
Mariah says it sucks. Kyle admits he also isn’t sleeping since Harrison’s confused now that Summer has moved out. Mariah’s sorry for his sake.
She tells him not to put on a brave face. He shrugs and calls it the wake-up call he needed. In fact, his dream job is working at Newman Media with Audra Charles. Mariah’s shocked he’s working with Noah’s ex.
She’s not buying any of this. His license plate is JABOT1 for goodness sake.
Kyle thinks everyone knows what’s best for him and asks her to leave Jabot in solidarity. She can come work at Newman Media. There’s a battle brewing at Jabot and he worries she’ll get caught in the crossfire. Mariah can’t. She has a family and what about Tessa?
She can’t resign. Neither can Tessa. They’re not the Abbotts. They rely on paychecks.
Kyle gets up to go and she’s surprised he’s leaving because she won’t quit in protest with him.
At Society, Summer talks to someone on a call thrilled that Chelsea accepted her job offer.
When she disconnects, Abby appears at her side with a hug.
She heard that she and Kyle separated.
Summer’s stunned that Abby isn’t giving her a lecture.
Summer fills her in on what’s happening and they start discussing Ashley and the fence in the midst of the Abbott living room.
She wonders what Abby would do if this came down to a board vote. Abby’s just not sure.
She’d have to abstain. Summer thinks she should pick a side.
Jack arrives at Neil’s lounge at GCAC and Nikki offers him a seat.
She knows family conflict is rough and asks how he’s holding up.
Does he have the board behind him? Jack thinks she’s on a fact-finding mission.
Nikki rears back in shock. She’ll always side with him.
Jack’s paranoid that Victor will go after Jabot now.
Nikki’s offended. She’s not Leanna Love.
She stands up, ready to go and he gets up and apologizes.
He’s defensive, feeling sensitive to betrayal.
They sit back down and he admits he heard about Ashley’s deflection in a press release.
“That’s awful,” Nikki says. Jack thinks she has more motivation than Diane and calls things untenable.
He bitches about her leaving their dad’s company. Nikki knows she’s left before and returns.
She thinks they can overcome this rift but he’s not so sure.
They’ve always been contentious with each other and her issues seem targeted toward her
He blames Tucker, too. Nikki asks how she can help. She wants to though admits she can’t forget what Diane did to her. She doesn’t want to banish her, either but doesn’t want to waste time on her. Jack’s not offended.
Nikki hates to admit he seems happy. She hasn’t seen that sparkle in his eye in a while. He’s in love.
They start gossiping again about Ashley and Nikki reminds her friend that Ashley might be trying to save his family by staying away. Jack calls it wishful thinking.

Diane shows up at Billy’s office at Jabot. He’s got his feet up on and is casually reading some files.
She comments on that and he says it’s a perk of being Co-CEO. He jokes about her perks since she’s marrying Jack.
She asks him to go for a drink. He’d rather get one there.
He gets a few glasses and pours an amber liquid as he tells her he doesn’t think she’s out to get Jabot.
She laughs and agrees. He says he doesn’t trust Tucker.
As they talk, he feels she’s being coy and wants her to open up.
She agrees to it. Jack crossed lines to protect her from Jeremy and she wants to protect Jack from all that.
Billy thinks that Ashley and Tucker’s company will fizzle before it’s even started. Diane asks what happens if it doesn’t.
Billy says he’ll fight. Nobody messes with his dad’s legacy. Billy asks her to resign, thinking it’s in Jack and Jabot’s best interest.
Diane flies off the handle in her reluctance but Billy explains things won’t get as ugly. It’s a way to protect his brother.
Ashley receives a rose from Tucker and opens a bottle of champagne. They are celebrating, he says.
They’ll get Phyllis to help them with going up against Diane and being deeply in love. “Is that so?”
He can’t believe she isn’t going to say it when her actions speaking loudly.
He wonders if she likes teasing him or if there’s something more serious.
When she tries to kiss him, he asks her to admit she’s in love with him.
Is she testing him? He asks if she’s expecting him to hurt her.
She says maybe, on a subconscious level. And so what if she is? He knows this is a transactional relationship.
She asks what happens if this is as good as it’s going to get.
He’d like to get their company, Simply Ashley, up and running. She reiterates what they’ve talked about previously, that they need to poach their employees.
It’ll make her brother see how his obsession with Diane is hurting the company.
Tucker scoffs. She says if she can’t save her brother, she’ll save her dad’s legacy. She kisses him, thinking actions speak louder than words and takes the champagne upstairs as he sighs.
Kyle drinks at Neil’s Jazz Lounge and thinks of calling Audra. He looks at his wedding band and removes it, stuffing it in a pocket.
At Society, Summer reads the news about Kyle resigning from Marchetti due to family discord.
Back at Jabot, Jack walks in on Billy and Diane’s conversation. He tells them they need to prepare for war.
Billy isn’t against Jack but says when it comes to him and Jabot, he’ll do what needs to be done.
