Mon Jan 15, 2024: Today on Young and Restless, Christine goads Phyllis, Summer asks Chance out, and things are tense between Devon and Billy.
Friday’s recap: Jordan Threatens Claire and Seth Takes Care of a Hungover and Regretful Nikki

At Chancellor-Winters, Devon and Billy talk about his latest proposals.
Devon has looked at them but not had a chance to think about them much.
Billy says they have an expiration date and Devon refuses to he rushed.
Chelsea and Abby arrive, all dressed up for the launch party.
Chelsea suggests they double-date.
Devon has to take care of some emails before leaving.
Billy tells him to take his time. He always does.
When Billy and Chelsea step out, she says she felt some tension.
He explains they just have different styles.
Devon didn’t expect him to come back he’s being aloof.
He’s used to doing this his own way and now the place is crowded.
Abby asks Devon how things are going with Billy.
He assures her that he’s playing nice and finding their groove.
He promises that she and Sharon will have his full attention tonight.
At the Abbott estate, Jack helps Diane into her dress and she tells him he’s looking extra handsome.
She’s ready to network. Diane thinks there’s an upside to Tucker realizing what Kyle is up to.
Now they can drop the act and just promote him.
Jack says there’s no rush.
At the GCAC, Mariah gives instructions to the press.
When Tessa arrives with a package, she wants to know what’s in it.
Mariah says it’s a surprise from Sharon,. Tessa tries using her wifely wiles for a sneak peek but her wife tells her she’ll have to wait like everyone else.
In the jazz lounge, Nick arrives with gifts for Sharon from him and the kids.
She thanks him and hands them off to staff.
She tells him this would have felt daunting a few months ago but now it feels natural.
She had a dream that put things in perspective and part of that dream is now a reality.
Adam and Sally stroll in and he asks if tonight is about dreams coming true.
They talk about changes at work and, looking at Sally, says they all have things to drink to.
Sharon thanks them for all the input they had during the initial stages of her company’s development.
Adam suggests she get Sally to design her office. Sally chases him away to get them champagne.
Sharon and Spectra talk Adam.
The redhead is cautiously optimistic about things with him and asks about her and Nick.
Sharon claims he’s only there as her date, and not a date-date.
He just manages to be there when she needs him.
She and Nick look at each other and smile.
Adam brings Sally a drink and apologizes about all the awkwardness with Nick.
She’s sure that will last a while and no one is that surprised to see them back together. Sharon wasn’t.
Sally tells him she feels wonderful and they kiss.
Mariah updates her mom in a corner.
The drinks are being passed out and it’s schmoozing time.
The Jabot gift bags arrive with Diane and Jack. They aren’t forgiving her for stealing Mariah away.
Sharon isn’t apologizing for it and they all go on about what an amazing job she’s doing.
Mariah was sorry to leave Jabot in the lurch but had to go with her favorite mogul.
Jack understands how special it is to work with family.
Chelsea and Billy arrive and Adam and Sally approach.
He wants to talk about Connor’s report card.
His grades are down and Chelsea says he’s just getting used to his surroundings.
Turning to Billy, Adam notes his time there didn’t last.
“I lasted longer than you did,” Billy points out.
They banter and brag and Adam announces he’s the Co-CEO of Newman now.
Abby and Devon arrive.
She admits she still feels awkward about these things because she might run into Chance.
They join Jack and the others and talk business.
Diane asks Devon if he has any insights on Tucker.
He informs them that he and his father don’t speak anymore.
Abby declares tonight a Tucker-free zone.
Jack and Chelsea are left at the bar and he asks how his brother is really doing.
He’s worried he’s made an impetuous decision.
She thinks he made the right choice leaving Jabot.
That stings Jack a bit but she assures him his brother is in a wonderful phase on new possibilities and allowed to trust his instincts.
Jack is happy to hear that and happy his brother is spending time with someone like her.
Nick and Sharon love how drama-free this party is.
She wonders if it’s driving him nuts to see his brother with Sally.
He admits it bugs him but happy Adam might cause fewer problems.
Jack asks Adam and Sally if they have worked things out. Adam says they are headed in the right directions.
At a table, Devon, Mariah and Tessa talk about Aria’s hearing aids.
It’s indescribable to see her hearing.
Abby joins them and they chat about Dom’s music classes.
The wives have to take care of something and take off.
Abby asks Devon if Tucker came back to the music class.
He says he’s stayed away as requested.
Mariah calls everyone to attention and introduces Sharon.
She welcomes everyone, thanking them for their support.
She singles out her daughter for her hard work and Nick for helping her get to this point, even if they are no longer working together.
Sharon won’t dwell on the details of how she got the company.
She’s re-launching it as a new venture with a mission to have a positive impact on the world.
Half of the profits will go to charities that work to raise awareness about underage alcohol abuse,
Delia’s Foundation, the Abbott-Winters Foundation, and New Hope. Everyone claps.
The company also needed a new name to connote its positivity. Pulling a read cover away, she reveals the logo for Cassidy First Technology.
Nick looks moved.
Everyone commends Sharon and thanks her for her generosity.
She tells them there are no thanks necessary.
This company felt like an incredible burden at first but she realized she could turn it around.
She asks to speak to Billy and Devon alone.
Sharon tells them she had a dream that made her want to run something by them.
It gave her the idea to combine their companies. They are intrigued and arrange to have a meeting.
Sharon walks over to Nick and asks if he likes the new name.
He says it’s all perfect and has him misty eyed.
She feels like Cassie has been guiding her. He’s never been more in awe of her. They look at the logo together.

Summer meets with her mom at Society.
Phyllis guesses she asked to meet there to avoid Sharon’s launch.
Summer didn’t want to run into that crowd. Her mom assumes that means Sharon and Chance.
Summer admits it. Phyllis tells her that Sharon clearly isn’t that interested in Chance.
Her daughter says that she’s shot her shot with Chance. She asked him to lunch and he turned her down.
Phyllis just wants her to be happy and her daughter is sure that won’t be with Chance.
The redhead starts venting about Kyle messing up her life.
Her daughter doesn’t want advice from her.
She’s played dirty in the past and would be ashamed to follow her advice now.
Her mom will never be ashamed of going after what she wants.
Summer knows she wouldn’t be there if she hadn’t crossed some lines.
Phyllis says she was born of love. That’s something her daughter knows and she wants love but is okay with being alone until then.
Since she has to finish up some work, she decides to call it a night.
Before she can go, her mom tells her how much she deserves happiness.
Summer wants that for both of them and exits.
Christine strolls in and glares at her old enemy.
She just wants to catch up on emails, no drama.
Phyllis insists on buying them a drink so she can apologize.
As they sit at the bar, Phyllis claims she fell into old patterns.
Being bratty and combative isn’t who she is.
“You could have fooled me,” sneers Christine.
Phyllis has promised her kids she could change. She meant that.
She’s making peace but Christine is not buying it.
She’s lived through too many redemptions.
Phyllis is determined to bring her on to her team.
The lawyer brags about her travel plans with Danny and goads her about him not telling her.
“I did not know. I did not know,” she says.
Christine can’t wait to curl up under blankets and focus only on Danny.
They bicker and Phyllis accuses her of acting superior.
“Present company definitely,” she says, downing her wine and walking off.
Phyllis immediately calls Danny.
When she walks into Crimson Lights, Summer is surprised to find Chance there rather than at the launch party.
She says he needs to be there for her. He explains they broke up.
This confuses her so he tells her that being happy isn’t everything.
Chance promises this wasn’t her fault.
Sharon just realized they want different things and told him.
It’s a shame to cut having fun short but it’s best to do it now rather than later.
He wishes her nothing but success.
She’s surprised that he’s smiling and he laughs that she would have sent him off in a tux if he was still with Sharon.
He wonders why she’s not there. She has a deadline.
As she gets up, he thanks her for looking out for him. Before she can go, she offers to buy him dinner.
