Wed Feb 28, 2024: Today on Young and Restless, Michael gets Claire out of the hospital, Jordan’s frustration grows, and Adam, Billy and Chelsea argue over who is going to see Connor and the specialist.
Tuesday’s recap: Victoria and Claire Share a Touching Moment as Ashley Breaks Down After Throws Herself at Tucker, Kissing Him

At Chancellor-Winters, Billy lets Devon know he’s going to Minnesota with Chelsea to check up on Connor for a few days.
Devon questions if the little guy is okay and Billy tells him they will be seeing a specialist. He’s just there for support. Devon’s supportive, knowing this can’t be easy.
Billy says he’ll work from the road if necessary. He’d like Devon to keep Chance in the loop over any big changes.
Devon questions that and Billy calls it an opportunity for Chance. Devon calls it inappropriate as a stand-in but it’s up to him. “Good,” Billy says.
Abby greets Mariah and Kyle, who are having breakfast at Society. Mariah says Tessa crashed out last night after work.
Abby sings Tessa’s praises on the job and pats herself on the back for hiring her.
Kyle calls Tessa multitalented. She’s a model, singer, and now a hostess.
Mariah chips in that she’s also a mother.
Abby leaves them alone and Mariah’s happy Tessa has the chance to shine considering she’s at loose ends waiting for her voice to heal so she can go back on the road.
They talk about Aria being able to hear with hearing aids and how she’s picking up words and making sounds.
“I swoon over her,” Mariah says.
Kyle asks about her job. Mariah loves working with Sharon. The company’s so strong.
Kyle thinks his friend deserves it, but he looks glum.
She questions him and he admits part of him wishes he could steal his mom’s job from under her.
Mariah’s shocked and Kyle wishes he hadn’t said that.
He clarifies that he doesn’t want to steal it but he’s not happy. He talks about all the changes in work over the year and he’s now second-guessing that he showed too much humility in stepping down when he knows in his heart that he deserves this job.
Still, he thinks his mother can shine at this job. He goes back and forth on this and Mariah tells him to give himself a break.
She reminds him of his breakup with Summer and “that horrible mistake with Audra Charles.”
Kyle sarcastically says, “Thanks.” Mariah wonders if there’s something there with Summer still.
Kyle reminds his friend that Summer broke his heart. Mariah says he’s made his choices and has to own them. To examine his choices and figure out what he wants to do and who he wants to be.
“Not just with job titles.” It should be about his next journey. He realizes she’s right.
At the Empty Glass Lounge, Jordan’s frustrated and hasn’t heard from Seth.
She texts, asking if he’s heard from her good friend Nikki.
She drinks and wonders what’s going on and then seems to get an idea and smiles to herself like the cat who swallowed the canary.
She calls the hospital and pretends she’s Nikki Newman and is shocked to learn Claire’s been released. “But it’s too soon,” she says.
At Newman, Victoria tells her father she won’t fight him on his plan to use Claire to lure Jordan out of hiding.
She gets his logic.
She has conditions though. He’s just glad her mother convinced her to change her mind, causing Victoria to shake her head.
She didn’t know he sent Nikki to do that.
“Of course, I did he says.” She goes back to being angry, arms crossed across her chest.
She accuses him of asking his wife to fight his battles for him but he denies it.
Why does she see a flaw in everything he does? Vicky says they’re in plain sight.
Victor just wants to keep the family safe. He asks what else is going on to make her so upset.
Does she resent the decisions he’s made at work? She denies it. This is about Claire. Michael interrupts.
The judge agreed to remand Claire into Victoria and Cole’s custody.
Victoria’s both relieved and frightened. Victor assures he’ll protect her.
Michael will let Victoria tell Claire herself. She says no matter what, Victor needs to keep her safe.
No surprises, and he needs to stick to the original plan. Victor will protect his granddaughter.
She wants her daughter to stay with her but Victor wants them both at the ranch. They’ll be safe there.
Once Victoria’s gone, Victor wants to talk about certain aspects of his plan.
They will do a press release about Claire, and stage a photo of Claire in Victoria’s house, so everyone thinks she lives there.
Michael worries about it blowing up but Victor reminds his old friend that he plays chess and is always a few moves ahead.
Jordan will think she’s in control when Claire delivers the message to her.
Back at Chancellor-Winters, Billy exits as Abby shows up, noticing the tension between them.
They talk about when Lily’s coming back.
Devon has no idea and feels stressed having to work with Billy. Makes things less productive.
Abby complains about her working with Phyllis before. It can’t be worse than that.
Devon thinks they’re equally bad in their own ways.
She offers to help but he has to deal on his own. It’ll be easier with Billy being gone.
She massages Devon and talks about releasing his tension.
He likes that idea and she talks about getting him a deep-tissue massage. Hot stone?
He hopes she’s joking. She admits she is and they make out.

Billy grabs coffee from Crimson Lights and Chelsea has confirmed the appointment with the OCD specialist.
She hates this and is “scared” about what the doctor says and how Connor will take it.
She isn’t sure Billy should come because of work but he’s coming.
They kiss and she reveals she appreciates him.
Adam interrupts and offers to take his car. He asks if Billy’s seeing her off but Billy corrects him.
He’s driving Chelsea. Adam asks why he’s going.
It’s a private matter. It could make Connor more self-conscious.
Chelsea counters that Billy and Connor are close and he could put him at ease.
She thinks they should be worried about not who is going but the meeting.
Adam relents. He has a hard time believing his son can have OCD.
Chelsea tells him he has to be open to it and Billy tells them they need to be on the same page.
Adam says the last thing he needs is Billy telling him how to parent his own son.
They argue and Cehlesa stops them, reminding Adam that they can’t jump to conclusions.
Adam says fine but they should get a second and third opinion.
Chelsea argues that’s what jumping to conclusions means.
Adam pinches the bridge of his nose, exasperated with her, and says no it doesn’t.
Connor doesn’t need the tension between them and her playing referee.
If neither can control themselves then they should stay home.
At Memorial Hospital’s psych ward, Victoria and Cole tell their kid she’s being released.
She’s excited but scared. Cole thinks it’s normal to feel nervous.
Claire worries about Jordan’s next move.
Cole says not to worry about that.
Victoria says that her life is like going on a journey.
Claire’s never had that before.
She was always on a mission for revenge with Jordan and now there’s a new path.
She wants to get it right. Victoria says there are conditions on her leave.
She has to enroll in an outpatient program, check in with the penal system, kind of like being on parole, and they need to prove they’ve security at the house she’ll be living at.
Claire hopes they can help her find someplace. Cole says he’s at the Athletic Club but it’s not secure.
Victoria wanted her to move in at her house but Dad thought it’d be safer at the ranch.
Claire’s surprised. She dreamed about living there, playing hide-and-seek there.
She’d remember fast that it could never be her life. Her throat would then hurt from trying not to cry.
Kyle arrives at the Abbott mansion. Traci tells him Harrison’s getting a snack. Linda’s mother is sick so she’s on a plane to Ohio. Kyle’s upset by the news but Traci offers to help out since the trip will take a while.
Kyle thinks he’ll have to find a replacement. Harrison talks about missing Summer.
It bothers Kyle, who has formed attachments to her and the nanny.
Now both are gone. Traci says everyone in this house adore him and he doesn’t feel abandoned. She calls Kyle a great dad.
Victoria and Cole take Claire to the ranch.
She does the tour as Cole remembers his first time there.
She can’t believe this is happening.
Victoria hugs her kid, letting her know that she’s finally home.
