(This day ahead recap episode airs in the USA on April 12. Expect spoilers! Recaps go live by 4:15 PM EST daily.)
Nick finds Victoria at Neil’s Jazz Lounge.
She’s pulled the whole thing off. She’s grateful for his help.
She asks the host to remind everyone it’s a dry party. They’ll be serving mocktails.
Nick tells a guard that Jordan might show up.
If someone shows up who isn’t on the guest list, the man should tell them.
Summer and Chance show up and then Harrison and Kyle.
Harrison hugs Summer and she takes him to show her the present he has for his grandparents while Kyle and Chance talk about how well they’re all doing after the breakup.
Chance likes that they’re trying to be good co-parents. Claire and Cole turn up.
They greet one another and when Harrison sees Claire, he rushes into her arms.
It’s awkward and Summer glares at Claire. Outside, Jordan hovers, watching, stalking.
At the Abbott mansion, Jack finds Diane gorgeous.
Traci turns up and Jack suggests they skip the party but Traci insists this is Nikki’s big night and she needs him.
They kiss and Jack asks Traci to keep him updated about Ashley if there are changes.
Billy stops by to keep Traci company and says he’s happy not to be toasting Victor Newman.
At the Newman ranch, Nikki takes a flask from her purse and wants just a sip.
She’s interrupted by Victor and stuffs the flask in her bag.
He comes in and they agree nobody will spoil tonight for them.
Forty wonderful, complicated, exciting years since they were first married.
They kiss and he gifts her a ruby ring.
She’s enchanted and thanks him, impressed by how caring and thoughtful he is.
They have a lot of faith in their future and head to celebrate with friends and family.
Back at the lounge, Adam and Sally arrive. Abby and Devon drop by their table and say hi to them and Nick before swanning off.
Adam talks about how he and Chelsea are supposed to give Connor zero contact for the next few weeks.
Nick commiserates. It’s unimaginable. Adam tells him the reason is because they think he and Chelsea are triggers for the OCD.
Nick denies that and Adam says though it doesn’t feel right, they’re the experts.
Upset, he asks to change the subject. He’s bummed that there’s no alcohol.
By the door, Harrison gives Claire his good luck charm, a bunny.
While they talk, Jordan watches and thinks to herself, “How precious.”
Back in the lounge, Diane and Jack greet Lauren and Michael.
Michael cracks that Victor mustn’t know Jack’s there.
He goes off with Diane for sparkling cider and Lauren says Jack’s loyalty to Nikki is next level. Jack’s grateful to Lauren for stepping in at Newman Media.
Out by the door, Victor talks to his guard and learns the entrances are covered.
Nikki and Victor kiss before they make their own entrance.
In the lounge, Victoria and Cole introduce themselves to Harrison as Claire’s parents.
Harrison toddles off to sit with his mother while Claire goes to get a drink.
Later, Victoria and Cole notice Summer giving CLaire the stink eye.
Vicky wants to say something but Cole tells her let it go.
Nikki and Victor arrive. Everyone claps. They take their seats.
Nick says a speech about how his parents have been through ups and downs and have shown them what real love is.
Victoria tells them they taught them to believe in themselves, family and the love that holds them together.
Dad taught her how to throw a jab and a right cross, Mom showed her that a mother would do anything to keep her kid safe.

He hopes Victor wasn’t offended. Victor thought it was appropriate.
He chuckles and asks after Ashley. Diane says Ashley sends her best.
She couldn’t make it because she’s under the weather.
Back at the Abbott mansion, Billy tells Traci he recalls Ashley’s phantom pregnancy but doesn’t remember a lot about her earlier psychological problems.
Traci says it was triggered by trauma.
She had hysterical amnesia and left town.
She returned, recovered and had a few breaks after but it’s different this time.
She’s resisting treatment. Until now.
Traci asks Billy about his own similar DID issue.
She asks if he’ll talk about it.
He says it wasn’t an easy time and he rarely discusses it.
After, he’s told her a little about it and she reminds him if it happens again, they’re there for him. “No judgment. Only love.”
Back at the party, everyone begins to dance. Adam and Sally kiss on the dance floor and Nick watches.
Cole and Victoria watch Claire and how much she’s enjoying herself.
Cole brings up the kiss.
He hopes he didn’t overstep. She calls it a surprise but… not really a surprise.
Sally and Adam go to Nikki and Victor. Sally calls them an inspiration. Victor asks after Connor.
Adam’s sad to tell them he’s not good. Nikki asks if she can send a care package.
Adam loves that idea, knowing his son will.
Victor will care for Connor and tells his son not to worry.
Adam’s thankful. Sally and Adam head to dance some more.
Nikki clutches at her purse, looking as though she wants a drink.
Kyle and Diane meet up back at the party.
Diane talks about Nikki and Victor being together forty years but knows it erases her time with Victor and Jack’s with Nikki so it’s a big fudged.
They talk about their work issues and are certain they’ll work out fine.
Harrison brings Nikki and Victor a picture he drew and hugs Victor before blowing a kiss to Nikki. He goes to find Kyle.
“Dad, I’m sleepy,” he says.
Kyle takes him to Summer and lets her know they’re headed home. Summer hugs Harrison.
She loves him. They head out and Claire goes to Summer.
“Hararison’s amazing,” she says. They’ve done a great job raising a happy and smart guy.
Summer says they do their best and she takes off.
Nick shakes hands with his dad nearby. He knows how to throw a party.
Victor says they still need to be vigilant because of Jordan. Nick says so far there is no sign of her.
Victor wishes there was so they can catch her.
“Be careful what you wish for,” Nick says.
Nikki finds Victor. They kiss and she’s so happy she says.
