Thurs Oct 19, Y&R day ahead recap: Jill goes to Victor to find out why Mamie’s involved with the company, Nikki voices her opinion to Victor on his cruelty, Devon admits to Tucker he doesn’t trust him, and Tucker tries to get back with Ashley.
Wednesday’s Y&R day ahead: Nikki Worries About Victor’s Cruelty, and Threatens Adam While Victor Tears Into Nick and Victoria When They Worry About His Health

At Newman Enterprises, Nate and Victor discuss Adam, the new and perfect assistant.
His work is exemplary, Nate says, surprising Victor. Nate thinks The Mustashe looks disappointed.
Vic claims he’s not, just curious.
Adam always says he’s turning over a new leaf but never manages to pull it off. He’s not sure why this time is different.
Nate says he struggled with thinking the role was beneath him but he’s thrown himself into it.
Nate reveals that his kids are worried about his health but he’s not since he was once his doctor.
He knows Victor would get help if needed. Victor thanks Nate for the heads up.
At the Chancellor manse, Jill’s on a video call with Devon and Lily.
Jill tells them she’s hit a wall about Mamie and her investment company LLB or secret intentions as to why she invested in CW.
Lily thinks there’s nothing to find and Devon tells Jill not to look so unhappy about it, but Jill has to fly to San Paolo for a while for meetings and needs them to have constant vigilance.
Devon wonders how big of a threat their great-aunt could be. Jill suggests they not underestimate her.
She’s not. Neither Lily nor Devon think Mamie’s suspicious but Jill believes this is all about her.
When Tucker arrives at Mamie’s suite at the Athletic Club, she says this is not a good idea.
He saw her with Nate and asks what was discussed. She scoffs. They were catching up.
He asks if it had to do with their arrangement and she tells him she has been upfront from the beginning.
She wants her family under one corporate roof. She thought he wanted that too.
He didn’t know it included Nate. He thinks she’s misguided since Nate betrayed Devon.
Mamie says they’ve moved past it but Tucker doesn’t think it’s wise to trust Nate with business.
Mamie knows what he did and he regrets his actions. Tucker thinks he regrets getting caught and can destroy their success.
She tells him he can distrust him but they agreed to stay out of each other’s way and play to their strengths and goals.
Tucker doesn’t want Jill running the company and Mamie agrees, she doesn’t think Katherine would have approved.
Mamie respects him because she respected Mrs. C. Tucker just wants to secure Devon’s future and get Jill out of the way.
Mamie tells him she’ll handle the cousins. It’s not his business. “You don’t wanna cross me on this,” she states.
Mamie sarcastically says she thought he was a ‘trust the universe’ kind of guy.
Tucker laughs. He doesn’t think she can lure Nate from Newman anyway.
Mamie says where she comes from, family always wins! She doesn’t get why people underestimate her ability to get what she wants.
Tucker laughs some more. He can see her determination.
She reminds him he’s in charge of taking care of Jill. He assures it’ll happen.
He kisses her on the cheek and goes, saying at the moment, he has other priorities.
Back at Newman, Nate leaves Victor’s office and stands outside, looking pensive.
Nikki finds him and questions what’s going on. He reveals Victor sounded lucid, nothing like what the others are saying.
She holds her head up high and says it’s because the children are mistaken about his mental decline.
She heads inside where Victor’s preparing a drink and lets him know about her talk with Nate.
She knows this is a plot he’s concocted. He reveals he’s not l losing his mind. “So then you are tricking everyone,” she says.
He’s beginning to discover his kids’ patterns and finds it upsetting.
Nikki, on the other hand, says it’s cruel to make his kids think he might be ill.
He asks, “Any more cruel than thinking one of my children may betray me?”
Nikki says Victoria wouldn’t do that. He tells his wife this needs to play out but Nikki needs to think on that. She takes off without another word.
Back at the Chancellor house, Devon gets a text from Tucker wanting to meet.
He’s not sure what’s going on with his dad. What he says and what he does often differs.
He thinks something is going on between him and Mamie but won’t say anything yet.
He stares at Mrs. C’s portrait and thinks it’s nice having his dad in his life but he can’t ignore the warning signs.
Lily asks what he’ll do. Devon decides to lie that his day is full. Lily’s sorry.
Tucker calls after getting Devon’s text. He really hopes they can get together and Devon reluctantly agrees.
He has a few things he’d like to make clear to his dad.
At the Athletic Club, Devon meets Tucker, who notices he’s been trying to keep his distance.
Devon admits to it. His father has a lot of drama surrounding him and he’s worried about getting played.
Tucker wants to fix that but Devon doesn’t know how and reminds him of how he showed up to Jack and Diane’s wedding reception.

Tucker lies that he just wanted to give time a peaceful gift.
Devon reminds him those people don’t like him.
He could have mailed it. Tucker agrees and Devon thinks there’s also something going on between him and Mamie.
Tucker claims he’s trying and wishes he could meet him halfway.
Devon asks him to open up about Ashley. Tucker tried to get in touch but she didn’t respond.
Devon asks if he knows she told her family that he scared her in Paris.
He says he wanted to be a priority to her. Devon says he could have done that without forcing her to leave her family.
Tucker believes she’ll always choose them over him.
Devon suggests she thinks he was only there for her career, not because he loved her.
Tucker asks if that’s how his son views him. That he sees people as something to be used.
Devon shrugs. It sort of seems that way. Tucker says things were always real with Ashley and it’s not easy for him to walk away.
He wanted to spend a honeymoon with his wife, enjoy her and plan for their future.
He gets animated, trying to keep his voice down.
He admits he was full of rage when he got home and made empty threats to Jack.
Tucker was hurting and alone and has no intentions of following through with the threats.
Devon isn’t sure how to believe it. Tucker’s sticking around town he claims for Devon and Dom and wants to fix their rift.
Devon says they can if he’s honest. If he’s not working with Mamie and if he swallows his pride and makes things right with Ashley.
Devon asks what really happened and Tucker says she changed her mind about what she wanted in life.
He still loves her but asks if he’d give up his career for Abby.
Devon says he would. Tucker laughs.
“I guess I have some thinking to do.”
Back in his office, Victor answers a call from Jill. They discuss Mamie’s investment in CW.
Jill wants details about how it went down. He can’t believe she’s feeling threatened and she barks, that it’s her company and someone infiltrated it. “And you don’t think I should take it seriously?”
Victor brushes it off. Mamie’s a relative. Jill reminds him of her troubled history with the woman but Victor says she gave him no indication that there was something not on the up and up.
Jill wonders if he’d tell her even if there was.
Mamie meets Lily at Crimson Lights. They catch up and Lily finds the mystery surrounding her reveal odd.
Lily calls Jill “unsettled,” about this and Mamie starts to laugh. She won’t lose sleep over that.
She doesn’t care what Jill thinks, only Lily and Devon. She regrets the time away from them.
This is about family, including Nate, Mamie tells her niece. Lily has lingering tension and for good reason.
Mamie knows he’s remorseful. What more can they ask? Lily rolls her eyes.
It’ll be harder for Devon. Mamie asks what another chance will take.
Nikki returns to Victor’s office and says she’s given it thought. She’s against him being so cruel but for him, the end justifies the means, even though all hell could break loose.
Victor says once one betrays him, the rest will understand what motivated him to do this.
Nikki reminds him Nate’s already on to h im. He helped him play dead.
He could share his suspicions with Victoria. Victor knows and thinks one of his kids will soon make a move.
Nate runs into Devon at the Athletic Club. Nate wants his take on Mamie’s return and all it entails. Devon says she felt isolated in Detroit so it makes sense why she is back. They agree on trying to make her feel welcome.
They can work on it together. Nate would like that and thinks there’s something he should know. He reveals their aunt wants him back at CW. Devon says she did bring that up. Nate says he’s happy at Newman so Devon asks him to dissuade her of that notion.
From his room, Tucker texts Ashley to ask if there is a way back from this. Ashley texts back. “No!”
Tucker throws his glass against the wall in anger.

At Crimson Lights, Nick tells Sharon that his father is sharp and as cunning as ever.
Sharon’s shocked. “You mean…”
Nick interrupts, seething. “We’ve been played. Duped. All of us.”
At Crimson Lights, Danny and Christine visit at a table.
Christine says it’s good to see him.
He asks how her trip was and how Paul is.
She starts to cry. “Not good.”
Ashley surprises Diane at home. “Hi Diane.”
