She wouldn’t ask him to walk away from him but it seems like he wants to be more than a brother.
He wants to make sure he’s loved and not shipped off like he was.
He won’t let loneliness be part of his life.

This is hard for her to believe. It makes him sick.
He gave her a chance to come clean but she lied to his face.
“Oh boy,” says the mayor.
They’ll figure this out and find a way to help Charlotte.
Valentin warns it’s even worse.
He thinks she burned down the house.
That seems pretty bad to Laura.
Valentin is sure his daughter is “disturbed” and prays she can get through to her.
She still refuses to accept all of this and asks to see the footage.
He destroyed it.
Laura thinks they need to understand what’s driving this behavior.
He thinks it could be jealousy and resentment.
She assumes it’s Victor and he must have been visiting her at boarding school.
She recalls catching them together once and wonders how deep his influence went.
This is starting to make sense to him.
His father must have weaponized Charlotte and pointed her at Anna.
She tells him not to blame himself and suggests they just have to get his daughter out from Victor’s influence.
