In Summer’s office at Jabot, she and Chelsea talk about the latest designs, excited to reach out to the fashion magazines.
Chelsea notices she’s in a good mood and Summer admits her life has taken a favorable turn.
“A favorable romantic turn?” asks Chelsea, assuming this involves Chance.
Summer makes it clear she had nothing to do with his break-up with Sharon. But she’s happy and can’t wait to see what happens next.
She’s got butterflies. Chelsea suggests she pick Chance up when she goes to get Billy.
At the Chancellor-Winters office, Chance thanks Billy for taking him under his wing. His transition into corporate life has been smooth because of him.
Billy says he made it easy to mentor him. Chance now has a new direction in life…on several fronts.
Chance wakes up feeling inspired and ready to work.
Billy is happy that he’s all in and thinks the company is going in a positive direction.
He asks if his personal life is in as good shape as his professional one.
When Summer and Chelsea arrive, Billy suggests they all eat together.
Sounds good to Chance.
Nate finds Audra having lunch in a glass at the GCAC. She snaps at him so he asks what happened.
She explains her plans to take over Jabot got blown out.
Nate doesn’t know how she thought that would actually work and assumes Tucker has left her out in the cold.
She doesn’t want the judgy tone and claims she thought she could control the situation.
If anyone could have pulled off a takeover, it would have been McCall.
But he let his fixation on Ashley control him and it imploded.
Nate thinks she’s better off not tied to Tucker.
She’s sure that the scheme could have been amazing.
He tells her she’s talented enough to avoid scheming.
Audra isn’t sure that her career at Newman is going to last. She’s worried that she’s overstepped.
When he probes, she wonders why she should confide in him, especially since he hates the Newmans.
He says he’s a friend and asks if this is about Nikki’s sobriety. She’s surprised he knows about that.
They get quiet as Chelsea, Summer, Chance, and Billy walk past.
Audra tells him that her father was an alcoholic and could see the signs. Nate starts fluttering his eyes.
She’s afraid she overplayed her hand by offering to help Nikki. She never should have revealed so much about herself.
From now on, she needs to stay purely professional.
He thinks she might be getting paranoid but she suspects Nikki will keep her at a distance because she can see she’s flawed.
Nate can see how traumatized she was by alcoholism.
“Uhhhh,” she groans. The point is that even if Nikki sobers up, this won’t end well for her.
He doubts Nikki will penalize her for acting human. He urges her to work on repairing the damage.
She’s not sure she wants to. There’s no way for her to advance there. Otherwise, what’s the point?
He suggests she reign in the ambition but she thinks that’s rich coming from him.
Audra is determined to create her own safety net. She’s been formulating an audacious plan of her own.
She asks him upstairs so she can share it with him.
Chance, Summer, Billy, and Chelsea sit around a table and talk about working together.
They toast to Chance’s new career and then talk about chili.
Billy changes the subject to some financial projections and Chelsea keeps smiling at the way Chance and Summer talk to each other.
They talk business and then have to get back to work. Chance and Summer exit.
Billy and Chelsea talk about Chance and Summer getting together.
They are happy to see it and Billy thinks he has a real future in the company.
It’s weird for him because Chance looks up to him. That’s never happened before.
Chelsea thinks that he’s a hero’s hero. Billy says it’s nice.
Even his mom seems to be trusting him more.
As Chance and Summer exit, they make arrangements for a proper dinner date.
That makes her smile.
Audra and Nate get to her suite and she announces that her new plan involves Tucker.
That dismays him, so she makes it clear that she is not teaming up with him, but turning his game back on him.
She’s going to get control of Glissade and wants him to help her.
He asks why he would be interesting just as he’s getting back with his family.
She points out he will never get any further in that company. He’s already lost in the shuffle.
Nate doesn’t see it that way but she says they could work as equals and beat Tucker at his own game.
Sitting on his lap, she asks if he can see the potential.

At Society, Abby notices that Devon is distracted.
He can’t stop staring at Daniel and Heather.
They both think they have a more-than-friendly vibe and suspect something is going on.
He knows that Heather was the love of Daniel’s life.
He’s not sure how serious things are with his sister and Daniel but they live in the same building.
Devon just hopes he’s not playing games with Lily’s emotions.
As they keep staring, Abby suggests they leave it alone to play out.
Whatever is going on will happen whether they get involved or not.
He doesn’t want to leave them to resolve this on their own.
She changes the topic back to her joining the board.
At their table, Heather asks Daniel if he’s feeling uncomfortable with Devon and Abby there.
She says they aren’t doing anything wrong.
He doesn’t think they can say that after what they did at his place.
He makes it clear that he doesn’t regret what happened between them.
They agree that what they share is wonderful and he can’t say it doesn’t feel like it’s meant to be.
The lawyer wonders if or how they move forward.
Part of him is conflicted because he doesn’t want to be a guy who cheats.
She urges him to think of himself as someone getting back what he lost.
He’d given up hope in getting back to this, sure that she’d moved on. Lily helped him move on.
She asks if he shares the same magic with Lily.
He’s worried about whether they can be together again without screwing it up because neither of them could survive it.
Heather thinks they can still get back the future they could have had as a family.
Sometimes he believes that, but he worries about hurting Lily and needs to talk to her before Devon can.
She insists she didn’t come back with an agenda to seduce him but he became the man he loves again.
It’s easy for him to think of the what-ifs, especially for their daughter’s sake. When she and Lucy left, his whole world spun out of control.
Walking away from him was the hardest thing she ever did.
He was left wondering how he could be better and make it up to her.
She tells him they can be magic again if they give themselves the chance.
When she puts her hand on her heart and says that what they had was never really lost, he laughs and can’t believe this is happening.
He can’t move forward until Lily knows so he thinks he should go out to California to tell her face to face.
“You and me finally!” she says, reaching out to him.
Daniel crosses over to Devon and asks if they can speak in private.
When they step aside, Daniel tells him he wants to clear up any misunderstandings.
Devon hopes that means he’s going to tell him he’s reading too much into what’s happening with Heather.
“I’m afraid not,” Daniel admits. What’s happening wasn’t planned but it’s real. He wants to go and talk to Lily openly.
Devon is surprised he’s admitting all this. Daniel won’t lie to him.
He cares about his sister and wants to be able to tell her himself. His story with Heather isn’t done.
“That’s nice,” Devon says, admitting he’s stuck between admiring him and wanting to hit him.
Daniel asks where Lily’s head is at right now. Devon says she’s going through a hard time.
Daniel thinks he should wait until she’s in a better place so he can tell her.
Meanwhile, Abby asks Heather if Devon is right to worry that she will be getting back with Daniel and breaking Lily’s heart.
Heather can’t get into that but says no one wants Lily hurt. Abby is surprised an attorney has such a lousy poker face.
She can understand getting pulled back to an old love but hopes she’s not taking advantage of that history at someone else’s experience.
Daniel and Heather return to their table and he explains that he filled Devon in and he understood.
Lily is caught-up with Mattie’s issues right now and he doesn’t think this is the time to pile this on.
Heather can understand that, but what does it mean for them?
Daniel says they need to put things on pause until Lily is in the right place for him to tell her.
