Christine spots Danny when she walks into Crimson Lights. He’s startled to see her. They haven’t seen each other since she saw him kissing Phyllis.
He’s sorry for that whole mess and has been laying low, working on the new album.
“Your silence speaks volumes,” she says, suggesting he doesn’t know what she wants.
Phyllis saunters in and sidles up, saying that Danny has been missing and their son hasn’t been giving her any hints of where he is.
She remembers that he would need his own personal zone for creating when they were together.
Christine is sure that anyone involved with Phyllis would need a lot of person space.
Danny explains he’s just been wrapped up in his new material. He tells Christine that he’s hand enough of this dynamic between the three of them.
Phyllis thinks this is fun and Christine doesn’t want a competition. The redhead taunts her about playing lawyer’s tricks and prompts Danny to just say what he has to say.
The lawyer isn’t sure she wants to hear what he has to say.
Phyllis suggests he came to admit he wants to be with her, sure that’s the last thing Christine wants to hear.
Danny explains to them that he’s had a lot of time to think and be honest with himself.
They’re both incredible important to him and his feelings have evolved. They wonder what that means.
He explains he wants what’s best for Phyllis and be able to help her without all this drama.
Cricket accuses him of lumping her in with her game playing and is appalled. Phyllis smiles.
Phyllis is sure this means he cares for her and Christine doesn’t want to listen to this garbage.
Danny tells Phyllis she was wrong to play all these games and insists there is nothing romantic going on between them.
“Feelings are feelings,” says Phyllis, sure the Christine knows how he feels for her.
Danny tells them that he was away from romantic entanglements and it was great. Maybe that’s how he should live?
Phyllis wants him to declare that they are meant to be and Cricket doesn’t want him to be friends with the mother of his son.
He suggests they all take a step back and let this cool off. He jogs out.
Livid, Christine accuses Phyllis of always finding a way to ruin everything for everyone.
Phyllis smirks and accuses the “poor bug” of living in fantasy land, unable to see Danny isn’t into her.
Christine thinks its embarrassing that she keeps throwing herself at him and urges her to take a deep breath and step back.
Phyllis accuses her of being a control freak looking for a rebound lover.
“If it’s war you want, it’s war you’ll get,” she warns Cricket.
“Gauntlet thrown,” decrees Christine.
At Society, Abby welcomes Traci back but wonders where her mom is.
They sit and Traci explains that Ashely insisted on staying behind with a friend she can talk things through with.
She’s sure her sister will need the whole family when she gets home. Unfortunately, Ashley did not get the answer she was expecting.
The waiter backed up Tucker’s version and Traci thinks it’s the truth.
This is hard for Abby to swallow. Her aunt explains that she did some digging and everyone she talked to corroborated Tucker’s story.
Ashley wouldn’t put bribing the whole city against him. Neither would Traci, but that doesn’t seem to be the case.
Ashley doesn’t know she talked to other witnesses yet.
Traci worries about how unsettling the truth will be for her sister and Abby’s not sure how her mom will wrap her head around it.
Her aunt says the family will have to help her through it. She needs to see Jack about this ASAP.
After Traci takes off, Abby calls her mom and leaves a message, asking her to call or come home.
“Mom, I love you,” she adds.

Mishael Morgan (Amanda) returns
In his suite, Tucker suggests that he and Audra taking a bath. She thinks he’d dodging telling her his plan.
She wants all the details. He shows her a list of fragrance companies that are vulnerable to takeover.
He says they can create a powerhouse company to rival Jabot. This annoys her. She thought he was done with caring about that company.
She thinks this is about him proving himself to Ashley but he insists it’s just about corporate success and re-legitimizing himself.
This could make him a respected player again. Running Jabot out of business would just be a bonus.
Audra is only bothered if he lets his obsession with Ashley mess him up again. He thinks she’s obsessed.
She agrees that pulling this off would be a dream, but where will he get the capital. He has no problem fishing it up with dynamite.
When Tucker and Audra go downstairs, they bump into Traci. He already knows what she knows and hopes she will be helping her sister get through this.
Traci refuses to discuss her sister with him and tells him he has no right to ask about her. She’s disgusted.
He remembers when she used to be civil and says her sister created a false narrative to end things with him.
She won’t discuss it and tells him to move on and leave her sister alone before walking out.
Audra comments that that got under his skin. He claims it didn’t and he’s moving on. “The end,” he declares.
They get a table and she wonders why everyone is so eager to defend Ashley.
He complains that whole family hates outsiders. he was an idiot not to realize how co-dependent they are.
It finally sounds to Audra like he’s ready to move on. He says Ashley is dead to him.
Traci gets to the Abbott estate and calls for her brother. He’s not there so she calls and leaves a message, worrying about their sister.
At The Empty Glass, Nikki sends Jack more drunk texts.
He calls her back and she complains about Victor and his security guys suffocating her.
He wants to send her a car but she insists on taking a ride share. Eventually she gives in.
He has to get off the phone as Victor arrives at the office.
“What do you want to tell me about my wife?” Victor asks.
Jack says it’s not fair that he’s kept in the dark about this and that ends now.
They enter Victor’s office and Jack explains that he has been acting as Nikki’s sponsor. She was adamant he not know.
Victor sighs and Jack explains she’s dealing with enough guilt and doesn’t need a confrontation about her choice of sponsor.
Jack tells him that the stress has put Nikki in a precarious position and she needs all the help she can get.
They put together what happened today and Victor accuses him of helping her to cover up. That’s giving her permission to drink more.
Offended, Jack says he’s not doing that at all and urges him to focus on why she’s drinking again.
The Abbott tells him she needs both of them and he has to allow that to happen.
“I’m damn worried about her,” Victor admits. Jack can see how much this is tearing him up.
It’s hard for Victor to think he’s trying to do this for him.
Jack claims there has been some progress. Nikki knows enough to call out for help.
Victor thinks she needs her family but Jack points out she doesn’t want him to know she’s struggling.
Jack doesn’t want this to get worse. He’s sure Nikki will be furious with him for telling him about this.
He insists they have the same goal: getting her back to sobriety.
Jack says this is not a short term thing but he’s the ideal person to help her through it so she can be sober again.
Victor crosses his arms.
Back at The Empty Glass, Nikki polishes off another drink.
Her phone rings. She answers. It’s the stripper music.
Laughing, Nikki challenges Jordan to come for her. “It will be the biggest, worst mistake you’ve ever made!” she drawls before stumbling out of her chair.
She tries to look out the window but slumps into a chair.
Eventually, she calls Jack to come and get her and Victor insists on going with him.
