Devon and Abby are at Society and he tells her it’s still the coolest place in town, somewhere people come back over and over.
He admires her ability to keep her employees.
All this business talk is turning her on so they make out.
Tessa arrives.
The three of the chat about hearing aids and then Devon takes off.
Abby and Tessa sit down. She assumes this isn’t entirely social.
Abby asks how modeling is going and Tessa admits it’s been a bit slow at Marchetti lately. It’s pretty sporadic.
“I have a proposition for you,” says Abby.
She explains she will be going to work at Chancellor-Winters and needs a day manager.
Tessa used to work there and she thinks she would be perfect.
Tessa will have to think it over but wonders why she wants to go back to the office.
Abby has been feeling a little restless since the restaurant practically runs itself.
This is exciting to Tessa and she can give her an answer tomorrow.
After Tessa takes off, Devon returns and Abby fills him in.
He’s happy she’s one step closer to joining the team.
She’s eager to show him how much she can do in a corporate setting and help solidify their son’s legacy.
Lauren stops by Jack’s office at Jabot.
They have some polite business chit-chat before he asks for a favor.
He fills her in on Nikki’s progress. She’s in a bit of a tailspin after losing Audra and he worries this could be too stressful for her.
Lauren is sure the company could hire the best in the business.
Jack thinks she needs someone kind and discrete to step in temporarily.
He asks her do it. Lauren takes a step back.
She thanks him for the confidence but this is pretty foreign to her.
He’d do it himself but Nikki is determined not to let Victor know they are involved.
He’s sure Victor wouldn’t object to her stepping in.
Lauren says her management team is excellent so maybe she could step in briefly. But would Nikki appreciate her watching over her?
He assures her it could be more than that and Nikki needs a friend she can trust.
Lauren ponders it and agrees. He thanks her and tries calling Nikki to set up a meeting.
In Victor’s office at Newman, he informs Nick and Victoria that six inmates are still unaccounted for. Jordan could have run off or could be dead.
Nikki is freaking out that she could be on the loose.
They still don’t know if the “Jordan woman” is alive.
They worry she could be hitchhiking back and Victor is determined to do all he can to protect their mother.
Nikki gets a call in her office. It’s silent on the other end.
She hands up and then checks her phone.
When it rings again, she picks up and cries, “Leave me alone!”
She grabs her purse and heads out.
In Victor’s office, his people call to tell him Nikki just took a rideshare. He asks them to follow her.
They soon inform him that she’s gone to a bar.
Nikki goes to The Empty Glass Lounge in her sunglasses and sits by a jukebox.
Moments later, Victor comes in looking for her.
After glancing around, he asks the bartender if he’s seen a blonde woman and gives him a couple of bucks.
Nikki comes out of the bathroom and spots her husband.
She sends Jack a slurring text, begging him to call Victor and distract him.
When Jack gets the message, he groans, “Oh boy!”
Then shows it to Lauren, who tries to read it.
They realize she’s drunk and needs some enabling.
He calls Victor and tells him they need to meet urgently about Nikki.
Victor agrees to meet him in his office and heads out, leaving Nikki sighing in a corner.
Back in Victor’s office, Nick and Adam talk contracts.
Nick notices he’s distracted.
Adam claims it’s personal and they agreed to keep that out of the office.
Nick worries that his personal life could affect his work performance and says they need to talk about it.

Mishael Morgan (Amanda) returns
Nick and Adam go to the GCAC for a drink and he tells him about Connor switching to the new school.
He was doing well at first but is still struggling and his school work is suffering.
“Sorry man,” says Nick. What does he want?
Adam admits he was angry but Sally and Chelsea calmed him down and urges him to have faith in the school.
Nick is glad he listened. He’s really growing.
It’s new for Adam to put his own feelings on hold. Nick knows. He’s been there.
Adam thinks he overreacts out of shame and loneliness and he worries his son suffers from that too.
He knows he’s brought that on himself and it means a lot to him that Nick makes an effort with him.
Watching his child struggle has forced him to take on new perspective. Nick knows what that’s like.
All his kids have been involved with things where he knew they would get hurt but he had to back off and let them make mistakes.
It’s just incredible they’ve turned out okay. Adam thinks he deserves a lot of credit for that.
Swallowing his pride, his brother asks him if he has any advice.
“Just stay the course man,” Nick says, urging him to trust the experts but get second opinions, like Sharon’s.
If he needs help raising hell after all that, all he has to do is ask.
Victoria and Cole meet at Crimson Lights and pool what they know about Jordan.
They debate how much Claire should know.
He suggests that she wants agency and she has the right to the facts.
She agrees to that. Besides, Claire could hear about it on the news.
He thinks she needs to hear it from both of them. It’s part of trying to earn her trust.
Victoria thinks she needs to know they would keep nothing from her.
Cole vows that “that woman” will never hurt their daughter as long as there is breath in his body.
Cole and Victoria go to the psychiatric ward to visit their daughter.
She tells them that things went well in group therapy this morning.
She assumes something is going on.
They have her sit down and explain there was a fire at the prison. Jordan is missing and may have escaped.
Nothing has been confirmed but they wanted her to hear about this from them.
Claire assumes her aunt might have set the fire.
Jordan used to talk about the use of fire so she wouldn’t put this past her.
They promise they will do whatever is necessary to keep her safe.
Claire is starting to feel like they really Claire.
Her mom urges her to trust that feeling.
Cole never wants her to be afraid again.
Claire isn’t scared. She’s just angry and filled with disgust.
Victoria says that sounds like healing.
Claire asks how Nikki is taking the news and asks how she has been fighting the alcohol.
Her mom says she’s been fighting as best she can. It makes Claire angry to think of what her aunt did to Nikki.
Cole thinks it’s positive that she is putting all the blame on her aunt instead of including herself.
Claire tells them she’s been working hard in therapy to let go of her guilt.
The doctor says she’s doing well but it will take time.
They have faith in her, happy she seems to be hearing.
