Sharon yawns as she closes down Crimson lights for the night.
Sitting down, she dozes off and Chance suddenly appears.
She’s surprised to see him in a suit.
Summer jogs in and he embraces her, telling her she looks amazing.
Summer asks Sharon if she’s ready to go. Sharon looks baffled.
They remind her they are going to celebrate the deal she finalized between Kirsten and Chancellor.
When Sharon steps out, she’s suddenly at the GCAC with Chance and Summer, where Billy is thanking her for suggesting the companies join forces.
She asks if she’s dreaming this but Chance says this is reality.
Confused, she sits at the bar as Summer goes on about Chance and he thanks Sharon for encouraging him to leave the force and change his life.
Billy toasts to how brilliant she is and what a positive force she is on them all.
When Sharon is left alone with Chance, she says none of this makes sense and asks when he started dating Summer.
He says they haven’t been together for awhile because she wasn’t willing to get serious with him. That was the right call since he can now see there is only one person for her.
She turns and sees Nick approaching. As he walks by, Chance urges her not to let him slip away again.
Sharon follows Nick out of the building.
Suddenly, she’s in the jazz lounge where Phyllis is sitting with Nick at the bar.
She tells him it won’t work with Sharon again. He keeps making it clear that he will never love her the way she loves him.
“No matter how many times you get SUCKED…into her orbit, you will never love her the way she loves you. It will never last,” she says.
Sharon turns around and suddenly she’s in the GCAC dining room where she runs into Tessa and Mariah.
She tells her daughter that she’s trapped in some kind of dream and it’s all confusing.
Mariah suggests she not let it lead her. She needs to take control.
Sharon claims she’s finally got control. She’s successful and now found her niche.
Tessa tells her her heart is empty and sings that her heart gets in the way.
Sharon tells her daughter she’s fine and happy.
She’s not empty and doesn’t feel the need to be deeply in love.
She and Chance were just at different points in their journey and she had to let him go so he could find the profound connection for himself.
He was fun. “So he was just a distraction for you?” Tessa asks.
“We’re all distractions for Sharon,” Adam says, as he suddenly appears, dancing with Tessa.
The only life and love that is her destiny is Nick.
Sharon is tired of hearing that and reminds them all of how many times Nick has cheated on her and broken her heart.
Adam points out it seems to heal pretty fast.
She loves him but that’s never been enough.
He hasn’t been her only love. She was passionate about Rey and they had a good life that was cut short.
Adam says it was good and safe, but hardly passionate and unbridled.
Even with him, there was more of a spark and he was hardly the love of her life.
He was just a dark temptation, a walk on the wild side. But love is something different.
Sharon feels like they are all ganging up on her while she’s trying to focus on business.
Billy and Chance toast to her and make speeches about her great business choices before they all clap.
Sharon thanks them all and smiles until Nick and Phyllis stumble in.
Adam tells her she can follow or lead. This is her dream.
Sharon makes a speech about the importance of collaboration in success and shares another toast.
She watches Nick and Phyllis walk out and Chance and Summer dance.
Adam tells her this is her chance to make a clean getaway.
Billy ushers her out the door.

Sharon says he can take the time he needs to figure that out.
Chance doesn’t need time.
He is looking to fall in love and can see that happening with her.
She thinks that’s incredibly sweet and she’s flattered.
That wasn’t exactly the response he pictured.
Sharon says she’s enjoyed the time they spend together but falling in love is the last thing on her mind.
He doesn’t buy it. He thinks she’s scared and he understands.
She says she has a lot in her life to take priority over her love life.
Chance doesn’t believe it and thinks she needs to let her guard down and be open to possibility.
She suggests he takes his own advice.
He claims he is.
When you’re with the right person, you just know.
