Daniel and Heather are at Society chatting about her trip back to Portugal and packing.
It will be hard to convince Lucy not to bring everything.
They go over the logistics and she assumes Paul will want to move into the apartment. She doesn’t know how things are going with Christine.
Daniel says he’s looking for an apartment of his own. He needs something more permanent, especially for Lucy.
She asks him to keep an eye open on a rental for her.
Lily joins them and asks if she’s moving back. They confirm it. She wonders why.
Heather says Lucy was the big factor but she also remembered how much she liked living in the States.
Daniel asks Lily if they are still looking for someone at the company.
Heather would like to go back to contract work and offers to send her resume. Lily offers to look into it.
As the lawyer gets up to leave, she says they will be a family again. Lily rubs her chin.
Once Heather is gone, Lily asks Daniel if he’s really okay with his ex moving back.
He didn’t tell her earlier because he didn’t want to ruin a romantic evening by talking about it.
She admits she’s worried that having Heather close could bring back old patterns or regret.
He assures her he won’t spiral again but appreciates the concern.
He’s in a good headspace and that’s because of her.
Daniel likes the path he’s on and his demons have been exorcised.
“Speaking of demons…” she ask about his mom.
He hasn’t heard any screaming yet.
Lily is sure his mom will be thrilled about Heather coming back.
He reassures her how her mom feels about his ex doesn’t matter.
Taking her hand, he tells Lily she is his future.
She reminds him she’s his past too.
When Daniel and Lily get to the penthouse, she finds a giant gift basket from Mamie.
She’s still worried about her motives.
She really doesn’t know her well but maybe she should worry about that.
They tease each other about their exes and then kiss.
Heather packs in her suite and then smiles as she looks at a family photo.
At Newman Media, Nikki introduces Claire to Victoria.
Claire fan girls over her.
She’s sure her father must be proud of her.
Once Claire is gone, Nikki asks her daughter what’s going on.
She seems rattled.
Victoria claims she’s not rattled.
She just argued with Nick about the company.
She senses there is something going on with Adam and they assume it’s Sally-related.
Victoria gets back to worrying about her father calling Adam “Nick.”
Nikki has heard about that.
She assumes Adam told her that to unnerve her.
Her daughter doesn’t doubt it but still worries.
Claire bumps straight into Nate by the elevators and apologizes.
They reintroduce themselves and then she goes on about how she’s found her dream job and there’s such a sense of togetherness.
He’s glad to hear all that and will see her around.
Nate joins Victoria and Nikki and they bring him into the discussion of Victor.
Nikki says there’s no reason for them to overreact.
Her daughter thinks they may not be reacting enough.
Victoria and Nate go to the elevators.
She’s sure something is wrong with her superhuman father.
She’s sure her mom is worried too.
He suggests they have dinner and discuss something else.
