Mon Dec 4: Today on Young and Restless, Summer and Phyllis catch up, Danny plays a demo of his song for Christine, and Chelsea urges Summer to go for Chance.
Friday’s recap: Chance resigned, Tucker and Audra made out, and Summer was clear on her feelings for Chance.

On the patio of Crimson Lights, Chelsea grills Summer about her feelings for Chance. It’s obvious that she’s more than interested.
Phyllis wanders in. That’s awkward.
Summer tells Chelsea the sketches are great and she can go.
Once she has, Phyllis sits down and asks her daughter if she’s still shutting her out. It hurts that she’s not being honest with her.
Summer doesn’t want to do this now but her mom is upset that she’s clammed up about her personal life.
She starts crying about how hard she’s working on being a better person. She’d got to the moon and back for her daughter but she keeps putting up a wall.
Summer knows that she need to give her the chance to prove herself.
Her mom hopes that means she’ll confide in her and take her advice.
With some prodding, Summer admits she keeps going back and forth between the idea of working things out with Kyle and wanting Chance.
Her mom is surprised to hear that so summer reminds her that Kyle was the love of her life and then there’s Harrison.
She wonders if she’s looking for a distraction from her feelings for Chance. Her mom reminds her of how important chemistry is.
When Summer says he’s unattainable, her mom laughs and says nothing is unattainable if you want it badly.
She reminds her mom that she’s not supposed to be urging her to do whatever she wants. Her mom just wants her to follow her heart.
Summer insists this dilemma is no big deal and she doesn’t need to worry.
Phyllis just wants her to know she cares.
She promises not to meddle if she comes to her next time. Summer asks she and Daniel are getting along at work and how things are in her personal life.
Phyllis blushes and suggests they get lunch and talk about it.
Danny runs into Christine in the GCAC dining room and explains he’s been putting the final touches on the song they worked on. He tells her what a great muse she is and offers to play his demo for her.
He invites her to lunch.
They put on headphones and listen to his demo.
She tells him it’s beautiful.
“Like the lady herself,” he says.
As they eat, they talk about his song. He’s happy about her reaction and says it got him back into the studio.
He’s got such a creative burst since he came back. Between her and Phyllis, he’s got the inspiration he’s been needing.
She’s startled to hear Phyllis has been inspiring him too.
Danny explains he’s seen how Phyllis is trying to be a better person.
That inspired some lyrics.
She jokingly complains she’ll have to share royalties with Phyllis.
He urges her not to compare herself to the other woman.
They finish their meal and she looks forward to his album coming out. She asks him to send her the song so she can listen to it again.
As they kiss, Summer and Phyllis walk in.
Jill and Billy sits down at Society. He’s been looking forward to catching up with her.
They didn’t have the chance last time she was in town. She fills him in on Mamie trying to pull a fast one on her.
He’s perplexed so she explains that Mamie is working with Tucker. She assumes he’s out for her company.
“How content are you working for Jabot right now?” she asks him. She’s feeling outnumbered in her own company.
They talk about Nate and how Devon is Tucker’s son.
She needs to bring some of her own family into upper management.
Would he be willing to come and work with her?
Chelsea arrives and asks if this is a bad time.
Jill says yes but he says no. He wants Chelsea to hear his mom’s proposition.
He fills Chelsea in and points out how rocky things were the last time he was at Chancellor.
His mom says he’s made a lot of headway in the past year. He agrees.
His mom wonders how well he’s getting along with insufferable Jack. Would he leave him to join her?
Billy admits there are challenges at Jabot and Tucker is as much of a threat to that company as she thinks he is to hers.
His mom tells him that Jack has Kyle, Ashley, and Diane. She has no one and needs him.

The Newmans return to the ranch. Victor says that lunatics who put his family through this ordeal will pay a price.
Nikki flashes back to drinking.
Nick still has no idea what those women were after. Cole said it was some convoluted revenge over things that never happened.
Victor is furious about what they did to his sweet baby. They’re all heartbroken about what happened to Nikki.
She says they were all victims and she’s feeling stronger now that the vodka is out of her system.
The worse part for Nikki is that she fell for Claire’s deception. Victor promises those women will pay a big price.
Victoria almost feels for Claire. Her mom thinks Claire is a heartless sociopath.
Victor doesn’t think she deserves any compassion and Nick isn’t feelings any pity.
Victoria points out she was raised by a psychotic. She’s Jordan’s victim too and wasn’t equipped to make other decisions.
They don’t even know who Jordan really is. Victor’s people are digging into her.
He gets confirmation that Jordan is Eve’s sister, was a nurse, and was at the hospital when baby Eve died.
Victoria wonders if it could be true that she stole the baby.
Cole doesn’t know what to think of all this. His mother struggled with mental illness.
Victor wonders if Jordan was similarly afflicted.
Cole is sure that this was not a con on Claire’s part.
Brainwashed or not, Nikki doesn’t see how Claire could have fallen for this story. Victor imagines she would have come up with some kind of proof.
This is upsetting Victoria. If Claire is their child, what baby died?
Victoria and Cole walk out and Nikki tells the others how bad she feels for pulling them into this.
Victor says she shouldn’t blame herself and then blames himself.
They wonder if Claire really could be Victoria and Cole’s daughter.
They’re sure that Victoria and Cole must be reeling. Nikki stares at the booze.
Cole and Victoria go to Crimson Lights. They try to figure out how this happened.
He got a text from Nikki that lured him into the trap.
She recalls how young they were and how frail their baby was. He doesn’t think either of them were the same after.
Victoria says you never get over it and he adds it’s all been ripped apart.
They wonder if it’s really possible that Claire is their daughter. He wishes he had answers.
Until there is an investigation, none of them will know what’s real.
They need to find out one way or another, he says, and that starts with facing Claire again.
