Friday, Dec 1, 2023: Today on General Hospital, Ava fills Nina in about the blackmail, Molly opens up to Kristina about the surrogacy, and Finn tells Liz he thinks the hospital will throw him under the bus.
Thursday’s GH recap: Ava received a disturbing letter and a horrific photo.
In the Quartermaine kitchen, Lois is cutting vegetables and asking BLQ where Chase is.
She suspects he’s on the run after her grandma’s marriage tirade.
Lois thinks she’s being overdramatic but her daughter is mortified. She insists they are nowhere near marriage.
Chase arrives with wine and asks the ladies what they were discussing. BLQ covers and Chase stares at Lois’ long nails.
They sip and talk about wine and Lois apologizes for her mother since she knows she can be a bit much.
Gloria is in love with love and thinks that if you are in love, you put a ring on it. BLQ spits up her wine. Chase smiles.
Lois tells the cop that Gloria obviously likes him and she approves of him too. He makes her daughter happy and that’s all she could ask for.
When she leaves to take a call, Chase tells BLQ she’s being over-dramatic. She apologizes but he can’t understand why.
She’s sure all the wedding talk is wigging him out. He’s not wigged out.
BLQ goes on about all the family weddings she’s been to. He tells her to relax and says her mom is awesome.
They feel lucky to be together.
He asks what the most important moments in her life are. She says the last time she saw Edward, the first time she wrote a song, and when her brother was born.
Dropping on his knee, he proposes.
Kristina takes Molly to her place and gets out some wine. She wonders why her sister seems so upset.
Molly points out she’s never been there before. Kristina realizes that’s weird and explains that the place has no food.
She keeps making excuses and tells her she can come any time.
They start talking about surrogacy. Molly has a whole folder of potential surrogates and TJ has no clue she’s looking at them.
TJ has said it’s too soon for them to try again but she doesn’t feel the same.
She wants to be one of those people who has success through surrogacy. She had a meeting that went well until her mom showed up.
Alexis told her she should consult TJ but she doubts he’ll ever be ready. Then she ran into Willow and the baby and got upset.
She cries about how badly she wants to be a mom. Her sister is happy to see that she’s letting herself have feelings for once.
Kristina assures her that TJ will come around. She offers again to be her surrogate.
She knows Molly was against that originally. Molly apologizes for how she reacted to that. It’s not her job to fix this though.
Kristina genuinely wants to help her do this. “No backsies,” she says. Molly agrees to speak to TJ and thanks her.
Liz and Finn go to The Grill and she asks for the latest on the malpractice suit. They talk about the hospital lawyer urging him to answer all her questions.
It became clear the hospital is planning to sacrifice him to save themselves. She tells him to keep the hospital and their lawyers separate but he’s not sure that’s possible.
Martin thinks the hospital will throw him under the bus and a jury isn’t likely to be sympathetic to him.
She thinks that’s ridiculous but he feels like the jury will sympathize with the Muldoons unless he can get them to like him.
Liz says he did it with her. He likes that she likes him.
He wishes he could clone her and have a whole jury full of her.
She admits he can be standoffish. But when people get to know him, they can see he has integrity, is a dedicated physician, and a neurotic father.
He’s saved hundreds of lives and could save many more.
That won’t happen if he loses this suit.
They go over the case and what the prosecutors might say and how the jury will react.
The nurse says all they can do is their best. He needs to learn to project his inward kindness outward to win over the jury.

Lois’s mother played by Ellen Travolta
Nina is shocked when she arrives at Wyndemere and Ava hands her the photo of dead Austin she was sent.
She confirms it’s real and the doctor is dead. It was sent by someone from Port Charles with a “You’re welcome” note.
When Nina says she should take it to the cops, Ava says that’s the last thing she will do.
Pouring them drinks, Ava explains she was being blackmailed because she thought she’d killed Nikolas.
Austin caught her hiding the body and then it disappeared. Mason blackmailed her…Austin was working with him.
Ava thought Austin was someone she could trust…but Nikolas wasn’t dead and she’s sure the doctor knew all along.
Cyrus was behind all of this and it was about going after Sonny. Nina is sure that Austin cared because he testified at Cyrus’ hearing for her sake.
Ava doesn’t think he cared enough.
She tells Nina about the fight she had with Austin. That was the last time she saw him. There’s no proof to back up her innocence.
“Even dead, that man is still making trouble for me!” she complains.
Alone, Ava burns the photo.
Dex and Sonny arrive at Pozzulo’s and talk about him tailing Austin. Dex only put him in a headlock.
The boss thinks that could be a problem and advises him not to talk to any of the cops.
Their Pikeman contact arrives and announces they need him to facilitate another shipment.
Sonny reminds him he refused to do that until they got him information on the shooter.
The Pikeman contact offers to double their fee. Sonny refuses.
Once the man leaves, Dex admits to his boss that he thinks he just made a mistake. Pikeman are powerful and if they come at him, it may be at a level he’s never seen.
Sonny appreciates that but thinks his best move is to take his distance from them and hope they move on.
Nina shows up and tells Sonny everything Ava told her. She should have heard this from him.
At Kelly’s, Carly is at the bar when a man, Mr Brennan, arrives and tells her that the Metro Court recommended them for their burgers.
When she hands it to him, he takes a bite and tells her it’s delicious.
She spots a homeless guy outside and asks him to come in because it’s cold.
He won’t go in but she offers to get him some food and races in to grab it. She brings him some grilled cheese and then goes back in.
Returning to Mr Brennan at the bar, he asks why she fed that guy instead of running him off. He thinks that was kind of her.
He hands her some cash to give to her homeless friend.
As he exits, the Pikeman contact rushes up to him and says they have a problem with Sonny.
