The Canadian Y&R day ahead recap for the Monday, August 23, 2021 episode, which airs in the USA Tuesday, August 24. In the previous episode, Devon was suspicious of Stitch. In this episode, Stitch has a clue about Mariah’s whereabouts, and Moses and Faith get closer.
At Crimson Lights, Faith’s looking forward to heading back to school. Sharon’s surprised. Faith feels more mature and safe this time. Sharon’s distracted but happy her kid is in a good place. Faith asks if she heard from Mariah. Sharon covers and Faith goes to meet Moses. Rey appears after overhearing and Sharon admits she isn’t sure she can keep this up much longer.

Stitch arrives at Abby’s. Victor tells her the security team has no leads. Stitch can see this is hard on her. She’s more concerned with Mariah. They don’t know if she’s getting the proper nutrition. She worries about them getting the help they need if something goes wrong. Stitch urges her to be positive but she’s having a hard time. She tears up at all the dead ends in their search. She shows him a maternity protein bar and Stitch recalls seeing someone buying them. “I think I may have a lead.”
In her room, Mariah does some stretching exercises. She tells Bowie that if the door opens, she’ll be out of there so fast, they’ll never see it coming. She eats one of the protein bars. Later, she does more exercise and feels a pain in her abdomen, “What was that?” She pants. She has more pain and sits down, clutching her belly. “It’s too soon,” she says, panting.

At Devon’s, Nate’s disappointed that Moses isn’t going to med school but is happy he’s focused on something else. He thinks Devon’s up to mentoring him. They talk about asking Sofia to come to visit. Moses appears and voices his opinion not to do that. She’ll want him to go home once she finds out he’s not going to become a doctor. To his mom, there’s a difference between being a doctor versus working in entertainment. Devon gets that and offers to talk to his mom. He smiles in memory. Neil wanted him to stay in business, and he eventually came around to his choice in career. Nate has to leave, and the guys razz him about being too busy for them.
Traci and Jack discuss Jack’s trip with Harrison to Milan. They’re happy that he’s settled in and Jack knows it’ll be hard on Harrison but he respects his decision. Traci thinks it’ll be hard on her brother, too. She can tell he’s missing him already. She gets him to read some of her writing about their mother’s life. She drinks coffee and smiles as she watches Jack. It seems as though time goes by as he keeps reading, smiling and laughing over what’s on her tablet. She returns later, having changed clothes. Jack tries tears. He’s surprised to see she’s changed. She wants him to take her to lunch. He thanks her for letting her read. It was uplifting and just what he needed. How did she know? She knows her brother. She’s grateful for him every single day of her life. They embrace.

At ChanceComm, Lily and Billy discuss him delving into Ashland’s past. He thinks Victoria would be in his debt forever if he did find anything. “Oh yeah? Dream on,” Lily says, sipping her coffee and wandering away.
Amanda finds Elena looking tired at Crimson Lights. She’s tired and wired and drinking herbal tea since she has to be back to work in eight hours. Amanda thinks that sounds tough. Elena admits it is. Nate keeps putting her name at the top of the assignment list. Amanda recalls Nate telling her that she had the best bedside manner, which is why all the doctors want her scrubbing in for surgery. Amanda thinks she should commit herself to being horrible at her job. Elena laughs. “You’re funny.” Elena needs sleep. She heads to bed with Amanda looking after her, worried about her.

Moses and Faith hang out in the park. She has a pop quiz in a little bag she carries. Moses doesn’t know what she’s on about so she takes a question out. “Tuesday, May 4. What happened that day?” He recalls her being in the hospital. They were playing chess. He passed. She reminds him of their kiss and says that she doesn’t kiss just anyone. He has to remember things they shared together. “Down to the exact date?” he asks. She promises it’ll be a fun walk down memory lane. He worries he’ll fail. “No pressure, right?” She tells him, grinning. Later, she has one more question. “August 6.” He has no idea. She says it was the day he gave her the press pass for the concert. He lost the quiz. He tells her he likes her a lot. She can set the rules and he’ll try not to pressure her but he wants to hang out. Faith calls him a keeper. This year was rough but he stuck by her through it all. She wants to hang with him too. They grin at each other. He has a date for her. August 13. She can’t forget that date. Their first kiss. Moses asks her on a real date.
Nate visits Lily at work. He loves being the resident expert but now that he’s Cheif of Surgery, he has to drop his gig, though he’ll help her find a replacement. He thinks Elena should replace him. Lily likes that suggestion.
At Society, Jack and Traci dine when Billy drops by their table. They discuss her new book. Jack’s sure it’ll be a bestseller. Traci goes to say hello to an old friend and Billy and Jack discuss the story he’s working on about Ashland’s past. Jack’s unhappy with his brother. Traci returns and Jack tells her their little brother is digging up dirt on Ash and how it’ll affect Victoria. Billy thinks it could uncover something to make Victoria know who the man really is and stop making a mistake. Jack has to wonder about his brother’s real motivation behind not wanting his ex with another man.

At Abby’s, Stitch and Abby have called Rey and Sharon, and Tessa over. Stitch tells them he saw a man with grey hair and a button-down shirt buying up the supply of maternity power bars that Mariah eats. Suddenly, Stitch recalls the man’s shopping list which had storks on it carrying babies. Tessa asks, “Was it yellow?” She gave one to Mariah, who keeps it in her purse and takes it everywhere. Devon shows up and Abby excitedly shares her news. Rey calls someone to look at the security footage at the store Stitch was at. Devon tells Abby that Christine didn’t get through to Chance yet. Hopefully, it’s soon.
Traci and Jack return home and Jack’s bad mood also returns. He insists he’s fine. She should worry about Billy.
Billy returns to work and hands Lily her lunch. He reveals his digging on Ashland came up with some interesting tidbits. Ashland was involved with an older woman before Tara when he was in his 20s. The woman was very wealthy. Lily thinks it’s agest and not compelling, but Billy believes there’s more to it.
