Gwen goes to Xander’s place to apologize. She asks him to put on a shirt but he’s getting ready to shower. She finds it hard to talk with him half-naked and eventually tells him she feels bad that he defended her. He could go to prison for protecting her. Xander says it’s alright. She wants to tell the police the truth but Xander admits he’s not going to prison. EJ DiMera got him released on bail and will make the choices go away. “Are you sure?” Xander hopes so. He spent a million dollars to retain him. Gwen knows he needed that money. Xander says there are other opportunities. She knows he struggles to get respect. She doesn’t know how to thank him. Nobody’s done something go selfless for her. He hasn’t done anything so selfless for anyone before. She tears up and takes his hand and thanks him and they kiss, passionately. They make out and fall to the bed. After sex, he jokes that it was worth the million dollars. They kiss and he offers champagne but she thinks it’s too early to celebrate his release. Instead, they kiss and he shows her how “the Scotts say thank you.” They make out and have more sex.
Olivia’s enchanted with Eli, especially when he presents her with flowers. They joke about Paulina calling him a tall glass of chocolate milk when they met. Olivia shares that she hasn’t met a line she hasn’t crossed. Big Momma’s sorry she wasn’t there for their wedding and talks about her and Chanel’s births being blessings. Lani asks why she came and Olivia flashes to telling her daughter to keep silent about her secret. She tells Lani that she was upset to hear Abe was dating Paulina since he was with Tamara. “It’s wrong.” Lani understands. She was weirded out by it but she got over it. Olivia says she’s old-fashioned.

Abe finds Paulina in the square, happy that she cleared the slate with Lani and Julie. “So Abraham, what about us?” Abe says he’d be a hypocrite not to try forgiving her himself since he encouraged Lani to. He kisses her passionately. He tried to be mad. They talk about getting away from secrets and lies and he notes Paulina looks nervous. She wants make-up sex but Big Momma’s at her house. Abe wants to meet her. Paulina calls her “a handful with opinions about you, me… Abe finishes. “Tamara?” He isn’t afraid. He convinces her to go.
When Tripp professes his love to Allie, she gawks. “I don’t know what to say.” He didn’t mean to put her on the spot. She cares about him a lot but isn’t ready to say those words. She apologizes. She’s never had a serious boyfriend. Tripp is called back to work.

Chanel and Johnny share a kiss at the Bistro and he suggests they go somewhere private. They grin and hold hands and he hopes he didn’t push it too far. If she’s not comfortable…She is quick to say she’s not. “Let’s do it.”

Chanel’s shocked at how huge Johnny’s house is. He takes her up to his room. They make out and as things get passionate, she stops it. He assumes it’s because of that woman she likes. He asks if she is using him to get over her. She considers that and realizes it’s true. She likes Johnny but needs to accept that she has no choice but to get over her. Johnny says she knows where to find him if she changes her mind. They make out and she heads home.
Allie goes to Marlena at the townhouse to discuss how Tripp professed her love and that she couldn’t say it back. She had a dream that she and Tripp were in bed — with Chanel. She says Chanel met a guy she likes and she felt a stab of jealousy. She panicked when she heard Chanel was on a date. She wants to be with Tripp and say she loves him back but Marlena tells her that feelings are messy. Allie shouldn’t rush into anything. She should sort out her feelings before moving on with Tripp. Allie’s grateful for a little grandmotherly support. They embrace. Chanel calls when Marlena’s with Henry and Allie learns Chanel signed the documents needed for Sweet Bits. They talk about her date and Allie says she heard about it but didn’t want to get in the way. Chanel calls her guy a lot of fun. She’s off to say goodbye to Big Mama before she leaves.
Tripp arrives at work, surprising Kayla. Tripp admits he lied to Allie that he had to work, but he needed guidance. He tells her what went down with professing his love and that Allie didn’t say it back. He kicks himself. Kayla thinks after what happened that Allie took a big step already. He wonders if it’s not about Charlie but that her feelings aren’t as strong. He feels this may be about someone else.
Paulina and Abe arrive and Olivia’s iffy with Abe when they meet. He’s heard so much about her. “I’m sure you have.” He knows she heard they had a history with Tamara and share their lovely daughter but Abe wants her to know how he cares for Paulina. She reveals they got back together. Eli’s the only one who cheers. Big Mama thinks it’s a mistake. “And Paulina knows why.” Abe assumes it’s about the lies about Price Town. Abe’s forgiven her. They take family photos and Lani has to take the twins home. She and Eli say goodbye and after Abe’s gone, Olivia frowns. “Get that damned frown off your face,” Paulina says. Olivia talks about the lies. She is sure he’ll kick her behind to the curb so fast…Paulina hears her mama. She’ll keep the secret.
At home, Eli’s glad Lani forgives Pailina. They’re glad the lies are behind them.
