General Hospital recap for Friday, February 18, 2022. In today’s GH episode, Laura urges Nikolas to swallow his pride, Felicia realizes where Peter could have taken Maxie, and Anna talks to the Swiss WSP and they figure out the area where Maxie might be found.
We also have Wednesday’s GH recap where Victor tested Drew’s conditioning and it didn’t work, while Liz got a startling delivery.
Laura visits Spencer at Spring Ridge she worries that Victor’s looking after him. They talk about Trina and how much she loved the gift he gave her. Spencer’s happy to hear. Laura calls Trina a good person but Laura says Victor’s responsible for abductions and death.
They wanted to take over the world with the Ice Princess. Spencer just knows that he would be in Pentonville if it wasn’t for Victor. Laura asks why he can’t find the good in his own father. Spence says his father abandoned him. Laura knows but he’s been punished.
He hates Ava, too and says his father did far worse. Laura disagrees. He didn’t do anything as bad as Victor. Spencer thinks that he’s systematically removed everyone from his life. Spencer feels safe knowing that Victor has his back. They look at the guard. Laura tells him she loves him and goes.
Ava is hot and bothered at Metro Court. They talk about their vows and love and Victor interrupts as Nikolas says the How Do I Love Thee sonnet by Elizabeth Benson Browning to her. Victor finishes the sonnet and tells them that he’s a romantic at heart.
He reveals he’s not interested in controlling the world, just saving it. Nikolas asks if it’s with Peter. Ava just wants the man dead and gone forever. Nikolas asks if he knows anything about Maxie being with Peter.
Nikolas asks him to respect their boundaries and let them heal. Victor brings up Spencer and his current surroundings. Ava calls that consequences but Victor asks if she wants to be the wicked stepmother. Laura shows up. She tells them that Spencer’s doing well.
She just saw him at Spring Ridge. She lets Ava and Nik know that Victor’s been caring for him. Victor doesn’t see that as a problem. He takes off. Laura suggests that Nikolas visit Spencer, which could change things between them. Ava talks him into it and they agree to go now, since they’re sure that’s where Victor’s going.
Nikolas goes alone while Ava wonders what Laura’s up to. Laura’s going to find out what Victor’s planning.

At the hospital, Austin and Obrecht wonder if Victor found their bug. Obrecht worries that Anna won’t catch Peter. If there’s any chance of doing it, she needs to go to Zurich herself. Britt appears and refuses to let her. She’d put her in the psych ward for evaluation for 24 hours.
This impresses Obrecht, but she’s still going. “Try it and I will harpoon you with a spear gun. Again.” Austin admits to Britt that it seemed like a good idea at the time. “What did you do?” She asks. “Planted a bug on Victor.” Britt asks if they got any clues from it and they admit that the bug was destroyed.
Britt thinks they just tipped him off. Suddenly, Obrecht gets an idea. She needs to call Anna.
In Switzerland, Agent Mueller (Kristina Klebe) and Agent Krieger (Josh Adamson) is introduced to Anna. Their plan is to find Maxie and Peter. She talks about being closer than ever and they look online on a map of the area they suspect he is. Drew says they need to think like Peter.
The mountains offer a number of places they can hide. They talk about an old salt mine and Anna wonders if that’s where they are. She tells the others they could be there. Obrecht calls and tells her that she just needs to find the salt mines and she’ll find Peter. The agent tells Anna there are three. Liesl says there’s a farm on one of them where Peter used to spend his childhood. They’ll be there.
On a flight, Felicia flashes to talking about going on a trip to Switzerland. She looks up renting a car and then searches a map and tries to recall where the place is called that Peter grew up in. She flashes back to a conversation with him in the past about his favorite place being in the Swiss Alps.
She then remembers the place he called Hidden Meadow (Versteckte Wiese in German) and does a search for it just before they land in Switzerland.
Peter takes Maxie out in the middle of nowhere in a cabin in Switzerland. He thinks it’s the perfect refuge. Nobody will ever find them there. Maxie forces a grin. He tells her that they can live here forever and not see anyone but the caretaker. Maxie looks uneasy.
He reveals that their family can’t find them and if he’s wrong, he has an escape plan ready. He details his plan that they can get to the autobahn and the border, quickly. Maxie asks what border and he stares at her ears. “What happened to your earrings?”
She says she lost one on the plane and tossed the other since it’s costume jewelry. He seems satisfied with that. He talks about waiting until the trail goes cold and then takes out his gun. Maxie gasps. She talks about realizing that he loves her and the baby and thinks one day Louise, Georgie and James will be with them. She’ll live for that day no matter what.
She holds his hand as she talks. She talks about familiarizing herself with the area and asks where they are. He lets her know they’re in Versteckte Wiese and shows her where to find the maps while he goes to get wood for a fire. She finds a map and Peter returns and tells her they’ll have to wait to go on a hike until tomorrow, stating that it’s late and the wolves are out.
Victor visits Spencer at Spring Ridge. He’s glad Samuel the guard is looking after him. Spencer jokes that this isn’t anything like a Country Club.
They discuss the strain on Esme’s devotion to him. Victor thinks it’s just a spat. “She blew up a car for you,” he reminds Spence. He says he doesn’t want to get between Spence and Laura. “You’re my family,” Spencer says. He won’t forget. Victor calls Spencer the heir to the Cassadine fortune.
Johann meets Victor outside and tells him Anna, Drew and Dante arrived overseas. Victor says he wants Peter August dead. Johann has got it. Victor says that Drew is too valuable to lose but Anna and Dante are expendable. Johann places a call to his contact in Switzerland. It’s Agent Krieger. He tells the agent to kill Peter and that the rest, with the exception of Drew are expendable.
