Wednesday, Nov 29, 2023: Today on General Hospital, Maxie tells Felicia about her money issues, Yuri tries brokering a peace between Petrov and Gloria, and Molly tells Alexis she’s looking for another surrogate.
Tuesday’s GH recap: Dante learned Austin was murdered and Sonny claimed Cyrus did it — & Molly went behind TJ’s back.
Felicia arrives at Maxie’s and her daughter starts complaining about the furniture she bought that she can’t assemble. She keeps making stupid financial decisions.
Maxie explains that she’s run up a lot of credit card debt and can hardly afford the minimum payments. She feels like she’s dug herself into a hole.
Eventually, Deception will start making money again but it could be years before they are out of deficit. In the meantime, her kids are getting more expensive.
Plus, all the things she needs. She’s always been bad with budgets and now it’s biting her.
Felicia offers to pay off her debts buy liquidating her retirement portfolio. Maxie refuses to let her do that.
Her mom keeps insisting and points out this is the only way to avoid interest rates. Maxie doesn’t want to bail herself out at her mom’s expense.
Alexis returns to The Grill to get her phone after accidentally leaving it behind. She spots Molly talking to someone from the surrogacy company.
Once that lady leaves, she approaches her daughter. She guesses she was having a private conversation and offers to listen to anything.
Molly admits she’s started looking for a new surrogate and hands her mom a folder.
Alexis flips through and says they all look good but senses her daughter is concerned.
Molly admits TJ has no idea she’s doing this. She can see why he’s scared but she also feels hopeful.
She can see a path forward but she’s not sure she can convince TJ. Her mom reminds her that if she wants to have a baby, it has to be something they both want.
Martin joins Finn in his office and the doctor asks him to represent him. The lawyer makes it clear it would be a tough case to win.
Finn admits he may have made things even worse by talking to the hospital’s lawyer.
Martin reminds him that she is not on his side and the hospital’s defense will be to put all the blame on him.
The doctor says that this is all absurd. Martin tells him not to say things like that. A jury would hate it.
Dede returns and the lawyers introduce themselves. She has some more questions.
Martin says his client won’t answer any more questions until the deposition. He accuses her of trying to lay the blame on his client and threatens to shift all the blame back on the hospital.
He makes a pitch for the position they should take but she’s not saying anything.
Once she exits, Finn tells Martin how impressed he is but the lawyer warns he’s in a pickle.
Martin explains the different ways the hospital could throw him under the bus.
