As the Hearing Begins, Nina, Willow and Michael Lash Out at Each Other, and Carly Gets the DNA Test Results

General Hospital recap for Monday, May 23, 2022. In today’s GH episode, Brad annoys Carly, TJ and Curtis learn about Marshall’s meds, and Dante tries to get his father to back down.

We also have Friday’s GH recap where Finn and Cam caught Liz stalking herself and Bobbie threw a drink in Nina’s face.

ABC

Sonny meets with Dante on a patio for a coffee. He wanted to see if he was going to Nina’s hearing. The cop is surprised to hear he is. Sonny makes it clear he will be testifying on Nina’s behalf, not Michael’s.

Dante doesn’t think that will go over well. Sonny thinks Michael is being unreasonable. The cop stands up for his brother. They bicker about who has hurt who more.

Sonny can’t stand back and take what Michael has been throwing at him. Dante thinks they both need to grow up before it’s too late. He warns that Michael is in a reactive position.

He should let things calm down or he runs the risk of alienating him for good. Underneath all the anger, he’s sure they love each other and he should think about that before he speaks on Nina’s behalf.

At the Quartermaine estate, Brook Lynn vents to Drew about her contract issues. Willow and Michael come in and talk about the hearing. Drew offers to look after Wiley while they are at the hearing.

Ned arrives and wonders if this is another meeting he hasn’t been invited to. He wishes Michael good luck today. Once Willow and Michael exit, Ned pointedly tells Drew the Q’s need to stick together.

Drew assumes he is still opposed to the merger. Drew reminds him he has no media experience and can’t be CEO of the new company. Ned insists he has a longer history with the company than any of them.

They bicker until Brook Lynn barks at them to stop, encouraging them to focus on getting rid of Valentin. Ned walks off to get ready for work. Drew realizes something is up with Brook Lynn.

BROOK LYNN ANGRY LINC THIEF gH

She explains that her sleazy producer is back in town. He claims to own all of her songs and demos. He encourages her to sue for harassment, but she’s already assaulted him numerous times.

Drew suggests she just right more music and move on. She already has plus she has a lucrative job. Linc sends her an email with a demo of one of her song. She’s appalled and complains Linc has murdered her soul.

Determined to fight, she calls someone for help. After she takes off, Ned returns and starts bickering with Drew about the CEO job again.

Maxie accompanies Nina into the court room. Nina says that Willow and Michael haven’t pulled any punches and now she has some of her own to throw. Maxie isn’t sure that escalating things will work.

Nina refuses to walk away from Nelle’s little boy and she has Sonny’s support. She tells her about Bobbie throwing a drink in her face and Sonny stepping up for her.

Maxie wonders if that means there is a chance for her and Sonny. Nina knows his family hates her. Michael and Willow arrive in time to hear that Sonny will be a witness for her. He’s livid.

WILLOW ANNOYING NINA gh

Everyone starts bickering. Michael says DNA is not enough to make a family. Nina brings up Harmony and Willow’s biological parents. Willow and Michael lash out at her.

Nina threatens to drag them into the gutter with her. She thinks this is more about hurting her than protecting Wiley. Maxie gets a call and has to leave to see her son.

On the way out, she tells Nina to stay away from the couple because she is only making things worse.

Nina tries apologizing to Willow for bringing up her mom. They don’t want to hear it. The three of them return to bickering until Sonny arrives.

Britt and Brad arrive at the yoga studio. Inside, Carly finishes her session and thanks the instructor. When she turns around, she is not thrilled to see Brad. Before she can leave, he tells Carly he will always love Wiley.

He encourages her to talk Michael into settling things out of court. He’s worried that what happened with Michael and AJ could happen all over again. Carly doesn’t want to hear any of this, especially from him.

Brad says the truth always comes out and Wiley will feel like he’s been cheated when he learns he was kept from his grandmother. Carly thinks it’s more likely he’ll be happy he was kept away from a narcissist.

Carly tells Britt her friend is an idiot. Britt knows but he’s got a point this time. Britt thinks that by the time Wiley is a teenager, things could change and he might want a relationship with Nina.

Carly flashes back to the possibility that Nina is Willow’s mother. Britt thinks there must be some way they can deal with things differently.

After Carly leaves, Brad returns from hiding. She’s impressed he stood up to Carly. He thanks her for encouraging him to take Selina’s job.

As Carly heads for the court house, she gets a text that the test results are ready.

At the hospital in Brooklyn, Curtis tells TJ there haven’t been any changes with Marshall since last night. They sit down and discuss his condition. TJ saw the knife cut deep into an artery.

Curtis has realized there still isn’t a lot he knows about his father. TJ admits he went through his stuff to look for his blood pressure medication but found something he didn’t expect.

They meet with Marshall’s doctor, who tells them he is still healing. The nurse will let them know when they can visit. Once he steps away, TJ explains to his uncle that Marshall’s medication isn’t for his heart: it’s an anti-psychotic.

The only way they will know Marshall’s actual diagnosis is if he tells them himself. Curtis still doesn’t understand all of this. TJ says he might have been volatile back in the day.

HAT DADDY MARSHALL AWAKE

A nurse comes out and says Curtis can visit. When he goes in to see his father, he says the more he gets to know him, the more questions he has. He would have rather grown up with a mentally ill father than without.

When he showed up after forty years, he acted like he wanted to be distrusted. Curtis wonders what he did for him to have so little faith in him. He needs him to wake up so they can sort this out.

Curtis begs him to open his eyes. Marshall starts twitching and wakes up.

Chase joins Finn at General Hospital. The doctor tells him that Liz was sleep-stalking herself. Kevin steps off the elevator and wades in, explaining all the things that people can do sleepwalking.

He wanders off to see Liz. Finn and Chase wonder if Liz could have a brain tumor but hope she just has medication issues.

Terry tells Liz that her test results say she is normal. Liz worries that she’s losing her mind. Finn and Kevin are invited in. Liz insists that she is fine. Finn says at least they know the boys aren’t in any danger.

She reminds him she attacked Chase. When he comes in, she apologizes. He doesn’t think that’s necessary. Terry returns with the test results. Her MRI was normal. There isn’t any physical reason for the sleepwalking.

Liz says she has been on the pills since Franco died. Terry decides to order more tests and wanders off. Liz asks Kevin if she could have a deeper problem. He admits there could be an emotion source to what’s been happening.

She doesn’t know what to believe anymore. Kevin says there is a chance the sleepwalking will continue until they know the root cause. Liz has made a decision about how to protect her family.

Brook Lynn meets with Chase on a patio and tells him it’s time for her to take her life back.
