In this episode of CBS’ The Young and the Restless, Billy feels insecure, Sally and Adam mull over their next move, and Nick cheers Sharon up. In the previous episode, Diane met Ashland, and Lauren and Michael threatened Locke.

Sally stops by Adam’s office at Newman. She challenges him to read her mind. He fails. She explains that Chancellor-Winters are going to be major competition for them. They have to figure out if there is enough room in town for both companies.
He tells her they have a major liability: Billy. The competition should be shaking in their shoes because of all they have in the pipeline.
His father calls and fills him in on Victoria leaving town for some self-care.
Sitting down, Adam wishes his father could see his sister is unfit to run Newman. She and Ashland won’t get back together while she’s on another continent. He needs them to stop avoiding the inevitable and reunite.
Sally suggests the trip might not be an obstacle. It could be a blessing in disguise. Distance makes the heart grow fonder and is sure to make Victoria miss Locke more. They need to be patient.
Adam worries that the more time that passes, the less predictable things will be. Then they will lose their chance to run things. He doubts she can handle being stuck in second place.
She loved her temporary reign. She likes bringing her vision to life and having power. But she’s not going anywhere. It’s her pleasure to be there with him. That’s her top priority.
He’s happy to have her in his corner. Sally says they need to focus on positive thoughts and plans. She whispers her plans in his ear.
Sally and Adam head to a hotel room and strip down. After sex, they talk about staying under the radar while Victor has spies everywhere. He realizes they need to find a crisis to divert his father’s attention.
Noah sits in Crimson Lights showing his parents wedding photos. They tease Nick about his dance moves. Mariah and Tessa send them pictures from their honeymoon in Paris.
Sharon remembers that she and Rey had planned to go to Paris once Faith went off to college. As she gets glum, Nick tries to cheer her up by showing off his milkshake moves.
They are surprised his drinks are so good. He reminds them he used to help run the place. Sharon can’t handle anymore caffeine, so Nick decides to treat her to whip cream and chocolate.
After all that, Sharon thanks Nick for cheering her up. They discuss how empty her house will be once Faith lives for college. It won’t be easy, but she doesn’t want her daughter putting her life on hold.

At Society, Imani and Amanda discuss how to deal with their mother’s medical situation. Nate asks about any previous indication of heart disease and assures them it is all treatable. He urges them not to panic.
Amanda gets a call from her mom’s doctor and steps away to take the call. Imani admits to Nate it’s better her sister take calls like that. She’s too close to her mom.
She has been part of her life since she took her first breath and they have only gotten closer since her grandfather went to prison. She can’t stand the thought of losing her and senses she’s afraid.
As she and Nate hold hands, Elena walks in and spots them.
He spots her and rushes over, filling her in on the situation. Imani gives them an uncomfortable glare. Amanda returns to explain the news about their mom isn’t so bad.
Nate gives his girlfriend a kiss and takes off. Elena asks to join the ladies. When Amanda welcomes her, her sister rolls her eyes.
Imani admits she’s feeling helpless. Elena tells them it’s hard to look out for your elders. She moved in with an uncle and cared for him. That’s what brought her to Genoa City in the first place.
Things get awkward as Imani digs into her relationship with Devon. Amanda tries to change the subject. Imani is thrilled when Elena says she doesn’t mind talking about it.
She explains they grew apart. Amanda says she’s being polite and adds that she arrived in town and looked just like Devon’s dead wife. They rehash how Elena and Nate got together at work and had sex at the office.
This is amazing to Imani. “There is something undeniable between us,” Elena says, apologizing to Amanda about the betrayal. All this led to Nate injuring his hand and having to give up being a surgeon.
Imani is impressed by how they can all remain close after this. Elena adds it took a lot of hard work to earn forgiveness. They toast to being friends and the best being yet to come.
At the office, Billy, Lily, and Devon talk about their plans for the launch party. They are eager to let everyone know they have arrived. Lily says it is the beginning of a new era for all of them.
After they talk about the new logo and how it has to reflect both families, Nate arrives with takeout. They’re impressed that he’s so excited to talk about business. Billy sits quietly and forces a smile while Nate promises the siblings how proud he will make them.
After they go through their list of subjects, Nate and Devon wander out. Lily says it was a productive meeting, but she wonders why Billy was in a mood after Nate arrived. She wonders if he is feeling awkward.
Billy insists that he is excited to be part of the team… but it is a little difficult sometimes. It’s wonderful to see her working with her brother, but it also reminds him he’s not part of the family.
She assures him his contribution is important. He knows; he just needs to figure out how he belongs. They kiss and she tells him to take all the time he needs.
Billy goes to his podcast booth to mull over the nature of insecurity. He imagines most people want to know they are in the right place at the right time. That’s the challenge. No one can tell you that. That truth lies with you.
At Crimson Lights, Noah listens to Billy’s podcast while his parents continue to talk. Nick assures Sharon that she can always hang out with him and Christian. She might have to take him up on that.
When Devon gets home, Amanda is waiting for him and upset. After a hug, she tells him her mom is having more symptoms and it’s hitting her harder than she thought. Apparently, there is nothing to worry about yet.
He’s surprised Nate heard about this before him. She didn’t want to distract him with it. He assures her he doesn’t want her holding back whenever she has something to talk about.
Nate arrives at home and finds Elena sleeping on the couch. He offers to take her upstairs and tuck her into bed. They talk about his job. She says it makes his face light up.
She admits that things with Imani and Amanda were fine on the surface, but he needs to keep his eyes open because Imani is definitely after him. He says she’s just a harmless flirt but she’s sure there’s more.
Nate assures Elena she is the only woman in his heart. She doesn’t feel threatened.
