General Hospital recap for Friday, February 4, 2022. In today’s GH episode, Mac is taken to hospital, Carly talks to Drew about her marriage, and Chase admits how he feels to Brook Lynn.
We also have Thursday’s GH recap where Austin confronted Maxie after realizing Bailey is Louise.
At the Quartermaine manse, Austin and Maxie share a kiss. She’s glad he knows the truth. It’s been hard to lie. He thinks it sounds like a version of hell but she claims she had to do what she had to do.
Austin wonders if her kissing him is another diversion. She denies it. He asks if they are friends because of her secret. She also denies that and admits she’s drawn to him. “Am I alone in that?” He gets a call and has to go. They’ll talk later, he assures her.
At Charlie’s Place, Nina runs into Obrecht who asks how long she’ll avoid her for. Nina snaps that she’s not sure. Obrecht doesn’t want to fight. She understands what it means to make bad choices for love’s sake.
She insists they sit and chat so Nina relaxes. Since Britt ditched her, she asks to lunch together but Nina’s appetite is gone since she runs into Carly so often. She says Carly takes everything she says wrong and she knows she has good reason to but it’s been rough. Liesl admits she only told Scotty the truth about Nina and Sonny to keep her out of prison. Nina says she tried to tell Carly about how sick Sonny is but she didn’t hear her. Liesl doesn’t care about them. She cares about Nina and doesn’t think she wants them together. Nina’s upset and gets up. She grabs her coat and Liesl says to relax. She is on her side. She asks if Nina loves Sonny. Nina gripes that Sonny’s dedicated to his marriage. She fell for Mike. Liesl clarifies, “He was Sonny then and he’s Sonny now.” Nina whines that Sonny loves Carly and she can’t be the one who breaks them up. Liesl says marriages break up all the time. If they love each other, why shouldn’t they be together?
At the house, Chase and Brook Lynn relax on the sofa. Brook Lynn’s feet hurt. He comments on her spiked boots. She says they make her legs look amazing. He’s noticed and says, “They do.” They talk about Carly and Sonny’s marriage how two people belong together. She comments that nobody fought that hard for her. Chase thinks she deserves it. That causes Brook Lynn to lash out that he needs to stop the act. She knows what he really thinks of her. She stomps off.
He follows her outside with a blanket where she admits she heard his conversation with Dante. Chase assures that it was just talk. He was referring to Bailey when he said feelings for her would complicate things. He was downplaying it for Dante’s sake. “You said it yourself that I’m a terrible liar,” he says. He doesn’t think she’s awful. She’s a good person. He holds her hands and reminds her of what she’s done to protect Maxie. They agree that they’d do anything for the kid but they’re partners, Chase says. That’s why they can’t be more than friends.
Kristina finished helping Sonny prepare for romance with Carly on Haunted Star. He thanks her and hopes this makes it right. He hugs her before she goes.

Carly stops on the bridge and flashes to Sonny talking to her about being ready to come back to him. Drew appears. He can see she’s thinking and offers to listen. She remembers Jason being her go to person.
Oscar’s been on Drew’s mind. Her and Joss miss him a lot. Drew wishes they had more time. Carly knows life is precious and it’s hard for her to make a decision about her and Sonny. Carly gets a call from Kristina who asks her to show up at the Haunted Star.
Carly tells her it’s none of her business but Kristina begs her to meet him half way. She says he pulled out all the stops for him and it’ll crush him if she doesn’t show. Carly reminds her she needs space and disconnects.
She’s on edge. Carly explains to Drew what Sonny’s up to and that she’s not into romance right now. He thinks she’s justified.
Outside by the prison van, Dante and Mac worry this could be an ambush. They’ve got their guns drawn and when Dante turns around, someone bashes him in his head.
He goes down and Mac calls out. Later, Dante’s on the ground and uses his walkie to tell the dispatch that there are officers down with multiple injuries. He passes out.
At the hospital, Anna and Felicia talk about focusing on finding Bailey now that Peter’s back in prison. Felicia’s worried since Mac should have called them by now. Anna realizes she’s right and they race out.
Sam (temporarily played by Lindsay Hartley) and Spinelli finish playing video games at his place.
He asks what’s up with her and Dante and she admits they’re great and is more reluctant too confess that the sex is fantastic, too. Maxie bursts in and tells them she kissed Austin and it was horrible.
Spoinelli asks her to clarify and she admits the kiss was great but the talk afterwards was not.
Back at Haunted Star, Sonny looks at the rings he bought for him and Carly. Kristina returns to tell him Carly isn’t coming.
Anna and Felicia arrive on the scene of the incident and Anna finds the driver dead and Dante unconscious.
She wakes Dante up and he tells her what happened. Meanwhile, Felicia wanders and finds Mac on the ground with a gunshot wound to his stomach. She screams and rushes to his side.
Later, paramedics arrive and Mac’s put on a stretcher and taken to hospital while Dante’s up and walking around. He learns there’s no sign of Peter. They guess he could be anywhere and they learn Kendall is dead.
Austin calls Maxie at Spinelli’s place. He’s in the ER and tells her there was a shooting on Router 31 and that there were police involved. She put him on speaker and he tells the lot of them that there were multiple injuries and two fatalities.
Sam gasps, knowing it was the prison transfer that Dante was involved with.
Kristina wanders into Charlie’s and Liesl eavesdrops as she talks on a call about Carly ditching Sonny on the Haunted Star.
Maxie, Sami, Spin and Sam meet Felicia at the hospital. They learn about Mac losing a lot of blood and that he’s being worked on. Meanwhile, Sam goes to Dante and hugs him. He tells her he’s fine and sorry to put her through with this. She cries.
Chase gets a call that Mac was shot and Peter escapes. Chase and Brook Lynn gasp and run to the baby’s room. She’s gone. Brook Lynn cries out, “No. No, no no no.”
Peter sets Bailey up in a car seat and whispers to her.
Nina finds herself face-to-face with Sonny on the Haunted Star.
