Fri Dec 8, 2023: Today on General Hospital, Lois and Olivia decorate the Quartermaine house, Anna tells Valentin that Charlotte is not an arsonist, and TJ and Molly ask Kristina be their surrogate.
Thursday’s GH recap: Portia told Curtis he could walk again, Forsythe’s body and files were removed by the WSB, and Pikeman asked Carly out.
Finn and Liz arrive at his door. Violet lets them in and reveals the tiny tree, declaring it’s just what she wanted.
She says the point is that it’s not perfect. Finn thinks that’s perfect for them.
As Violet gets cocoa, Gregory flops on the couch and tells his son he wants this to be a good Christmas.
Liz brings the cocoa in for everyone. Violet is eager to decorate.
BLQ and Chase arrive with stuff to decorate.
Chase puts lights on the tree and Violet makes a wish.
Before they can go on, Chase announces they have an announcement. He says Brook Lynn has agreed to be his wife. The family claps as they kiss.
Violet asks to see the ring and makes Chase get down on one knee to slip it back on BLQ’s finger.
She then turns to her father and asks when he will give Liz a ring. The nurse immediately declares it’s time to decorate the tree and runs.
Violet declares she wished this would be the best Christmas ever and it already is. She runs off to get them a present.
She returns for a guitar for Chase to accompany her while she sings.
Outside of Kristina’s apartment, TJ stops Molly and suggests they take a moment to review and re-evaluate. Clichés exist for a reason and Kristina is the impetuous sister. Do they really want her as the surrogate.
Molls tells him she sometimes thinks the universe is telling them not to have kids. That depresses them.
She’s sure that Kristina randomly popping up and offering again must have been fate.
Smiling, he agrees to go along with this.
Kristina lets them in and Molly officially asks her to be the surrogate. Kristina is thrilled and they hug.
They sit down and Molly talks about what a rollercoaster this has been. She had to do some real soul searching because she felt entitled to being a mom and the world was denying this to her.
Molly recounts everything that happened with Andrea and how she learned she had to accept that she’s not in control and ask for help.
Molly has finally realized that the person giving is in control. It’s excruciating to know she’s been such a witch to her sister.
Kristina forgives her and she offered without thinking anyway.
Molly keeps apologizing for being so irrational. It hurt that she can carry a child when she can’t.
Kristina knows all about being messy and irrational. Besides, they weren’t ready a few months ago and are now.
They feels so lucky. Kristina gets drinks to celebrate.
After they toast, they realize it’s ginger ale. Kristina admits she’s out of booze and decides to indulge while she still can.
They know she is giving up a lot and she says it’s worth it.
Kristina is eager to get started. They hug her and tell her how grateful they are.
Molly and TJ hug and says they may get their miracle after all. Kristina sends Blaze a text to say she has big news.

Anna stops by Valentin’s. Things are tense. She tells him the arsonist who set her house on fire was not Charlotte.
He asks how she can be sure so she tells him about the forensic evidence they found. He’s relieved.
Valentin kicks himself for not believing his daughter and asks who the arsonist is. She can’t tell him.
He keeps asking and she won’t explain. Anna can’t tell him because she doesn’t trust him.
Valentin takes full responsibility, but she’s been holding back too. He’s sure she was gunning for someone that night and Charlotte was just there.
He’s sorry he didn’t tell her his daughter was stalking her because he was afraid she would end the relationship.
She says they’ll never know if that would have been the case because he didn’t give her the choice. It’s too late for them.
She adds that it’s not too late for Charlotte. He won’t take her advice about that.
Anna accuses him of making excuses for her and he says his daughter was manipulated by a master of manipulation.
He says his daughter is not a coward. He may be appalled by what she did, but he’s proud of her conviction.
Anna points out that she came up with trashing her room all on her own. He says she needs time to heal.
Devane tells him it doesn’t matter what Victor told her, she’s still responsible for her own actions and he has to get her the help she needs before she does something irrevocable.
He says she will get limits and counselling but in Charlotte’s mind, Victor was right.
Tearing up, she hopes he makes it clear to his daughter that Victor was never right.
He’s sorry. So is she.
She walks out and cries.
Tracy in on the jet back to town.
She looks at photo of herself and Luke on her phone and weeps.
She puts on a hate and glasses to hide her tears.
As the plane lands, she curses Luke for how much she misses him.
At the Quartermaine estate, Lois and Olivia notice the house has not been decorated for the holidays.
Lois tells her how Lylah would have the whole place decorated by the first of the month.
She tells her all about the antique train set that was set out for Alan and all the garlands.
Lois can’t believe she hasn’t been decorating.
Liv explains that she and Monica used to clash over the holiday decor.
They rush off to get decorations.
When they return from getting a tree, Olivia recounts how her son had no interest in being part of the Pioneers.
Lois has always liked how she just takes people as they are.
Olivia says that’s hard with kids.
Her friend starts making analogies as they talk about the children they’ve raised and congratulate themselves.
They start going through the bulbs and recalling how they used to tease nuns and their misadventures with cousin Connie.
Cody arrives with the tree.
He helps them put up the garlands and then decorate the tree.
They have to explain what a “Zia” is and tell him how nice it is to have him around.
He admits he likes working for the Q’s.
It’s the first place for a long time that feels like home.
They thank him for all his help and he thanks them for a fun time.
Once he’s gone, they admire their work and toast to it.
Tracy arrives and declares that this will not do.
