Thurs April 18, 2024: Dante has to organize Chase’s bachelor party, Lois insists that Sonny come to the wedding, and John gives Carly his number.
Wednesday’s GH recap: Laura urged Cyrus to seek justice against Sonny, and BLQ and Chase grew closer after an honest talk.
At Bobbie’s, Carly catches up with the manager and tells her to keep up the good work. Joss offers to help but her mom tells her to keep studying.
Carly admits the stove is not working. Joss offers to call her “jack of all trades” but the remembers she no longer has one,
Her mom asks how she’s dealing with the breakup. Joss assures her she’s fine and the restaurant is in more urgent need of help.
Michael jogs in to help. This isn’t impressing Joss. Michael suggests his mom call her “new boyfriend” to help.
The kids tease her about John and then Michael goes off to check on the stove.
Carly explains to Joss that she just found Jagger being attacked.
John walks in and Carly rushes over as he sits down. He announces he has something for her.
He thanks her for rescuing him, and they laugh about how much she enjoys being right.
Jagger accuses her of planning his beating as payback for serving a warrant.
When she says she would call first if she was giving a warning, he gives her his number.
Michael returns to his sister and suggests that they keep an eye on Jagger.
After he walks off, Carly returns and her daughter quizzes her about John’s attack.
Joss assumes that Sonny was behind it. If he can do that to an FBI agent, can she imagine what he will do to Dex when he finds out he’s becoming a cop?
Carly tells her she needs to respect his decision.
Michael returns and admits he couldn’t fix the stove.
His mom goes off to call the repairman. When she opens her phone, she sees John’s number and smiles.
Chase and the head of the police academy run Dex through his paces.
Once the boss walks off, Chase tells Dex he did well.
They head inside and Chase commends him for leaving Sonny’s organization and tells him how much he admires his military record.
Cyrus visits Anna’s office and thanks her for agreeing to see him. He’s there to perform his duty as a citizen. He’s now ready to make a statement about his attack.
She warns that once he does this, the statement will be evidence and could be used against his attacker.
He goes on the record about Sonny attacking him.
Once he finishes, she gets him to review it and points out that the man is scrubs who visited him was part of Sonny’s organization.
She knows and says he’s severed all ties with the mob.
After he signs the statement, she says it will be filed and remain confidential until she finds the best use for it.
Dante runs into Finn at the nurses’ station in General Hospital. They chat and the cop notices he’s not okay.
The doctor tells him that Chase’s bachelor party has gone sideways and he doesn’t know what to do.
He was going to book The Savoy but it’s booked. Dante says they can salvage this and offers to take care of this.
When Dante returns to the PCPD, he fins a balloon on his desk and the cops claps.
Anna welcomes him back. They have a lot of filing saved for him.
He asks her to the bachelor party at the hatchet range and starts making calls to arrange things.
Chase walks in as Dante is making the arrangements. He invites Dex to the party.
The detective promises Dante he will act surprised at the party.
Anna returns to Cyrus with a copy of the statement and will give him a heads-up when she presses charges.
She’d wish him well but she doesn’t. That doesn’t surprise him given his history.
As Cyrus leaves the building, he bumps into Dex, who apologizes to him for nearly killing him.
He’s trying to correct the error of his ways. So is Cyrus.

The head off the police academy goes to see Anna with Dex’s test results. He explains that he’s one of the best applicants they have ever had.
She senses he still has reservations. He admits that Dex would be an excellent cop but could use police protection himself.
Ava and Trina are having coffee at Perks. Trina tells her she’s saving up for her own place. Ava sees she’s getting a call from the lab but won’t answer.
Trina says she needs to grow up and be alone. Ava can see that but worries that being alone too much will be too much for her.
Trina can see that but could use some self-reliance. That makes Ava proud.
They chat about what it’s like for Ava to live with Sonny and she explains they have settled into a routine.
Ava gives her money to pay the check and Trina leaves to open the gallery.
Ava checks her phone and then calls the lab back to ask about the capsules.
The lab says there was an error and each capsule has the wrong dosage. It’s less than a quarter of what it should be.
Trina returns and Ava asks why she doesn’t think of moving in with Joss.
That never occurred to Trina but she likes that idea and then fills her in on Joss and Dex’s breakup and how he’s decided to become a cop.
At the penthouse, Sonny seems disoriented as he leaves the bathroom and finds Lois talking to Frank about arnica.
She senses something is off with the boss and asks what the story is. He hasn’t responded to BLQ’s wedding invitation yet.
He was thinking of just sending a gift. Lois tells him that BLQ loves her and so does she and the wedding wouldn’t be complete without him.
Sonny doesn’t want to ruin their day.
She thinks it’s more about him not wanting to be with people he can’t stand. She tells him to rise above his grievances.
He doesn’t want to deal with all those people. Plus, he’s a target and it’s not safe.
She insists that Yuri’s people are handling security and it will be the safest wedding in years.
Lois keeps prodding until he agrees. When she asks if there will be a plus one, Ava walks in.
Lois is surprised to learn she is still staying there and suggests Lucy could find her a place or she could live at the Metro Court.
Once she takes off, they chat about Lois and he says she’s overprotective of him.
Ava asks if she has overstayed her welcome and should move out. He says it’s up to her. He likes having her and Avery there.
He appreciates her looking out for him too. She reminds him to take his meds and asks if they make him sleepy.
“Not anymore,” he says before going into the bathroom to take his pills.
He and Ava chat and she fills him in on Dex joining the PCPD. He punches a table.
Lois goes to see Finn at his office and asks if he can help with the rehearsal dinner.
He says that he and his dad are on it. They go over the details.
She asks him to ask his dad to bcc her on everything he is sending to Tracy.
She’s very excited for his family to meet the Bensonhurst posse.
Lois asks how his dad is doing. He admits his father has stopped sharing medical updates.
She knows that’s not good. He assumes this wedding is keeping hid dad going and he doesn’t want to put a damper on things.
Lois knows that BLQ and Chase haven’t arranged for a backup officiant as Gregory requested and wonders if she should arrange one.
He says that would be a good idea.
