Thurs Dec 14, 2023: Today on General Hospital, Diane and Robert decide their relationship, Kristina reveals her plans to Sonny, Carly presses Ava, TJ has reservations and Alexis confides in Gregory.
Wednesday’s GH recap: Ava Suspects Nikolas Sent Her Threats, and Carly Runs Into Brennan/Pikeman
Gregory’s late for dinner with Alexis at Cafe Cherie. His movement is worstening though he makes jokes about not being able to skateboard there.
He shows her photos of family time and says Violet sang a song for them.
She’s thrilled to hear BLQ and Chase are engaged. Everyone’s so happy and he couldn’t wish for more.
She too has big news. She’s going to be a grandmother again.
She tells him about her mixed feelings about Kristina doing this.
She’s proud of her for this but worries they’re riding a wave of emotion that’ll eventually come crashing down. He says all she can do is watch and see what happens and be there for them.
TJ finds Stella in the lounge at General Hospital, eating chicken and dumplings.
She talks about how good Irene’s was and gets TJ some.
He doesn’t mind veganism but finds chicken and dumplings is comfort food.
They dig in and TJ asks his aunt if she regretted moving in with her sister to support her.
She says never. She fantasized about other things but she loves Thomas and Curtis.
She loves her nephews like her own, just like she’ll always love TJ and do what she can for him.
“Including sneaking you some chicken and dumplings.” It’s the pleasure of being an auntie.
TJ wonders if Kristina will feel that way. He fills her in and she’s thrilled such a profound gift is being given.
TJ’s worried about having to count on Kristina since she has no follow-through.
What if it’s too much and she backs out? It’ll break Molly’s heart. “Mine too.” Stella reassures him.
Kristina arrives at the Metro Court and meets with Sonny and Donna.
They’re celebrating her report card. She went from being a “motor-mouth” in class to talking less.
They discuss Donna being the youngest and Kristina claims it’s the best.
They give the kid a menu and tell her to order for them all. She wants to know how to make Creme Brule so Trish takes her to the kitchen. Sonny asks how Kristina’s doing.
She talks about work and hiring new staff for Charlie’s. Sonny hopes she’s not doing too much but she has it handled. He asks about her personal life. She flashes to kissing Blaze and says fun will come later.
She has priorities. Sonny questions her more and she reveals she’s TJ and Molly’s surrogate. Sonny asks what Alexis thinks of that. “She’s cautiously optimistic,” Kristina says.
He wonders how Blaze feels and she says they’re just starting to see each other.
He notices she lights up around the woman. He’s happy for her. They hold hands. Trish returns Donna to the table and they talk about Santa and how Sonny thinks she’s been a good girl.
Diane meets Robert at another table. They’re happy to be doing this. She’s especially looking forward to dessert. They both smirk at the double entendre and talk about Christmas trees. She ended up buying a decorated one online.
He asks how her malpractice suit is going. She is going to prove that if Finn had thoroughly screened the patient, he could have saved him. Robert wasn’t listening. He’s thinking of her.
When he’s not going up against her in court, he can’t think of better company.
She tells him he’s a baffling combination of infuriating and irresistible.
Robert laughs. She tells him to meet at her place and spend the night. He raises his eyebrows and she laughs.
Carly arrives at Ava’s place, thankful that Carly picked Avery up from her dance class.
She’s been so busy with the move. Carly says it wasn’t trouble. She fed her.
Carly thanks her for the burger.
She’ll heat it later. She talks about how stressful moving is and now Avery will have to get used to the old place again. Carly thinks she’s got something else on her mind.
Ava just chalks it up to work but Carly says she never mentioned that her boyfriend wasn’t mentioned.
Ava says it’s upsetting and they weren’t really seeing each other. Carly says the police will talk to her.
She says it doesn’t matter, she never killed him. Carly reminds her it’s standard police procedure but Ava doesn’t want to get into that with her.
Carly asks if she has something to hide and Ave jumps up. “I don’t answer to you,” she says.
Carly says she doesn’t have to but she should tell Sonny. She’s obviously in over her head and for Avery’s sake, she should talk to Sonny sooner rather than later. She goes and Ava finds her lock box and takes out the threatening note, she thinks Nikolas sent her that’s nestled between two guns.

Amy gushes over putting out the donation bins at Christmas. Liz talks about kindness and watches Portia telling Finn that he’s a great physician and Monica wants to see him in his office.
Finn walks over and Amy heads to Portia to ask for updates about Finn’s case.
She says they shouldn’t be discussing this or gossiping. She asks her to exercise a little discretion. Amy nods but once Portia’s back is turned, she sighs.
By the elevator, Finn tells Liz he’s going to see Monica. She hopes it’s good news.
In her office, Monica is on a call telling someone that she wishes them a Merry Christmas.
Tracy arrives as she’s disconnecting. Is she ready for this?
Monica’s not sure. Later, Finn arrives, surprised to see Tracy. She’s representing the hospital board.
They want a recommendation regarding the lawsuit. They’re considering having a separate settlement with the Muldoons.
If they decide, it means the hospital thinks he looks guilty. Finn says he hasn’t done anything wrong.
By the time the patient came to see him, it’d been developing for years and was masked by the tapeworm.
He details the rest and invites them to do what they want. He stands by his treatment.
Back by the hub, Portia and Liz discuss the scholarship in Epiphany’s name that Sonny started.
Portia says he also funded everything for the Christmas season like decorations, etc.
They’re surprised at how generous he can be. Talk turns to Amy’s gossiping and Liz will have a chat with her.
They wonder why Monica wants to see Finn.
Portia calls her fair and thinks they can hope for the best. Portia goes and Amy shows up.
Liz brings up Finn and Amy says she’s supposed to give a deposition at the hearing.
She’s not sure what to say or do so Liz says to tell the truth.
Later, Finn appears and says he doesn’t have answers from Monica yet.
He explains what happened and then Tracy pops in. Liz glares at her as she takes her boyfriend away. Tracy’s there not as a friend.
This makes Finn worry. Tracy says they’ve decided there will be no separate hospital settlement. Finn’s grateful to her and to Monica.
Monica asks Dede Clark to her office. The hospital needs to clarify its position on the Hamilton Finn malpractice case.
They concluded that Dr. Finn did nothing wrong. Dede says as legal council, she thinks she should rethink that decision.
The Muldoons have deep pockets. She should ask herself what’s more important. Securing the future of GH or backing Dr. Finn.
Robert and Diane arrive at her place and make out.
