Thurs Jan 11, 2024: Today on General Hospital, Bobbie’s friends remember her, Carly and Felcia take a road trip to Canada to help Cornelia, and Maxie and Felicia realize something.
Wednesday’s GH recap: Following Bobbie’s funeral, Carly learned her mom was battling human trafficking and tried to complete her work.
Anna looks at the photo of Bobbie on the hospital remembrance wall. Robert walks over, saying it hardly seems right. He thought she’d outlive all of them.
She says they’ve had to say goodbye to people who were there for their daughter when they couldn’t be. It doesn’t seem fair.
Angela the reporter joins Maxie at Kelly’s. She’s arranged for plenty of people to come in and talk to her to help with her profile on Bobbie. She tells her about Felicia and Carly running off to Amsterdam to search for Bobbie’s contact.
Laura arrives. She doesn’t want to add that wasn’t in her eulogy.
Angela says she wants to write about all of Bobbie and people tend to brush past the rough spots of the dead.
Laura admits there were rough spots early on and recalls her stealing Scott from her.
She says Bobbie used to ruffle people’s feathers because she always spoke her mind. She wishes she was still around to give people a reality check.
The mayor remembers her nagging her to tell Luke the truth. She’s thankful for how honest she was.
Lucas arrives and laughs about how his mom hated nicknames. She hated that BJ always called him “Champ.”
He says his mom was a principled person and stood up for his family.
He says his mom was a champ who always fought in his corner.
Joss, willow, and Michael come in next. They joke about her attending Michael’s wedding to Nelle in a black veil being say how supportive she was on Michael and Willow’s wedding.
Willow says that Bobbie made sure you felt like you were in a giant extended family.
Scott and Lucy are next. He talks about how she used to take no guff, not even from him.
He flashes back to one of their fights and says she mellowed over the years but became the best nurse at the hospital.
Lucy recalls how they used to fight.
Angela is surprised she keeps showing up for her. “It’s almost like you were the original frenemies,” she says.
That sounds about right to Lucy. She explains her daughter BJ was important to her.
She says the best way to judge someone is by those in their life. If she’s walked through life with Bobbie as her adversary, she’s a lucky woman.
When Liz comes in, she tells the reporter about how kind and compassionate Bobbie was to her after her assault.
Her grandmother didn’t know how to deal with that, but Bobbie did. She never made her feel ashamed.
Bobbie made her understand that she was in charge of how she let her trauma define her. Her passion became healing others, just like it was Bobbie’s.
When she walks across the hospital floor, she’s walking in Bobbie’s footsteps.
As Maxie shows Angela out, the reporter thanks her for all her help and hopes they can talk again.
The reporter has to get back to work but promises she will see her again. She suddenly disappears.

In an Amsterdam coffee house, Carly asks some guy if he knew her mom. he didn’t. Felicia reminds her that the people they are looking for keep secret. They need to know what to look for.
They sit on different sides of the room and talk by surveillance devices until someone comes in who Felicia assumes could be Bobbie’s contact.
They rush over and show her a photo of Bobbie. She doesn’t want to talk to them but Carly tells her that she died.
As they sit down, Carly says there’s a lot about her mom she doesn’t know.
The woman explains that she met Bobbie there. She told her about her past as a prostitute and told her she wanted to help her organization.
She explains that Bobbie allowed people to live in her home while they waited for paperwork to come through.
She’s surprised when they tell her that Bobbie told a reporter about a woman she was helping. Her name was Cornelia.
They arranged for her to go to Canada weeks ago. She assumed that Bobbie got her to America.
Carly explains that Bobbie died in Amsterdam. That means Cornelia is stuck in Canada without her asylum papers.
Felicia calls Anna and asks if she has contacts in the State Department who can help an asylum seeker.
Robert has a few and will make some calls.
The contact tells Carly that they have no way on contacting Cornelia. She says she’s probably freezing to death in a cabin in Canada.
Carly realizes she knows where she is.
At General Hospital, Robert eventually gets off the line and tells Anna that he found someone in the department who will wait for Felicia’s call.
Anna hopes that they are being careful because human traffickers are dangerous.
Felicia and Carly are driving in Ontario. There’s no cell service or GPS.
They talk about traveling. This is the most time they’ve ever spent together.
Carly thinks it’s crazy she’s spent so little time with her mom’s best friend.
They suddenly veer off the road to avoid a moose.
They are glad to be in one piece but need to change a tire.
As they fix the car, Felicia explains that they have never been friends because she was there when Carly first came to town and destroyed her friend’s life.
She’s resented that, which embarrasses her now. She’s found it hard to let go and is sorry.
Carly tells her not to be. She adds that she became close to Maxie when Felicia was away and saw what that did to her.
They forgive each other and Felica says maybe this was all part of her mom’s big plan to finally get them closer to each other.
They laugh about how much she liked to meddle and Carly says they should lean on each other.
After they walk in the wood for awhile, they find the cabin and knock on the door, calling for Cornelia.
She opens the door and attacks them with a shovel.
They promise they are friends and there to help her. Cornelia notices Bobbie’s necklace on Carly’s neck.
Carly explains Bobbie was her mom and shows her a picture. She explains that Bobbie died.
They know her story and promise she is safe. Felicia backs that up and Cornelia drops the shovel, hugging Carly.
Felicia calls Anna and tells her they are ready for the favor Robert called in.
Maxie arrives at GH where Liz takes Carly get her face patched up from the accident.
Carly reminds her she offered to paint the new sign for Kelly’s. She has something else in mind.
The next morning at Maxie’s, she tells her mom what a hero she is and looks for Angela’s business card so she can email her.
She can’t find it anywhere. It’s disappeared. She checked online but there’s no sign of her anywhere.
Her mom takes off to dig into it.
Outside, Felicia calls the AP office but they have never heard of Angela. Suddenly, she realizes that Angela was BJ.
She goes inside as Maxie has the same realization and they embrace in tears.
Felica puts her hand on Maxie’s chest and they listen to BJ’s heart beat.
At Kelly’s, Laura, Carly and Lucas look at the new sign that Liz has painted. They tell her it’s beautiful.
Laura is sure the people of Port Charles will love it and the siblings say it’s perfect.
Lucas leaves to catch his flight.
He runs into Angela outside and says people are looking for her. She tells him she needs to go back home and calls him, “Champ” before disappearing.
Back inside, Carly says she wants to spend some time alone.
Once on her own, she says she hopes she brought her mom some peace because that’s what she gave her and everyone else.
She goes outside and climbs the step-ladder to hang the new sign. It says, “Bobbie’s.”
