Thursday, Jan 11, 2024: Today on Bold and the Beautiful, Li warns Finn not to be Hope’s protector, Hope and Thomas make a date, and Steffy asks Thomas about the accident.
Wednesday’s Early B&B recap: RJ confronted Zende, Thomas and Hope made out as Finn and Steffy argued over Thomas.
In Finn’s office, Steffy agrees to talk to her brother to put this to rest.
She wishes he would just believe Thomas.
The doctor says he’s trying not to make trouble but Xander keeps accusing.
He hopes for Thomas’ sake it’s not true, but there are still a lot of unanswered questions.
Steffy repeats that she will talk to her brother.
She reminds him that the police already investigated and were satisfied.
Finn isn’t satisfied and tells her to talk to Thomas again.
She thinks this is a waste of time but he thinks Thomas could have left something out before.
Sighing, she repeats her brother didn’t harm Emma and leaves.
He sits and huffs as he looks at PR about Thomas and Hope.
His mom comes in, notes Steffy left unhappy, and asks if they were arguing.
He admits they were having a disagreement and fills her in about his doubts about Thomas.
She’s baffled when he tells her that he’s worried about Hope.
He’s baffled about how Hope can be with Thomas.
His mom advises him not to get caught up in being Hope’s protector, particularly given her history with his wife.
He assures her that’s not what’s happening and that he wouldn’t do anything to hurt his family.
He’d love to believe that Thomas has changed as he’s claimed but he’s weary of him and needs proof he’s changed.
Thomas and Hope are kissing in the main Forrester office.
They could do this all day but have work to do.
He has a design to finish for her. She suggests he finish and then they meet at her cabin to “collaborate.”
He’d love that and he loves that she’s always seen the good in him and helped him grow into the person he is now.
Touching her necklace, he tells her he will never stop hoping for their future.
After she takes off, he works on his design and flashes back to proposes to Hope, her turning him down, and his placing the ring on a chain by her heart.
Steffy shows up and tells her brother she just came from Finn and this can’t wait.
She explains that Xander came back to Finn’s office and is still saying he’s responsible for Emma’s death.
When he worries Xander will convince her too, she insists that won’t happen. Her husband just has questions Xander put in his head.
Could any of Xander’s accusations be true?
“He’s right about one thing,” he says. His sister needs clarification.
Thomas says he’s sorry about all this.
What Xander has right is that he was a person of interest.
He was cleared and the case was closed.
Xander won’t let it go but he didn’t kill Emma.
No matter what, it was a senseless car accident.
His sister says that doesn’t explain everything and the whole truth needs to come out. He agrees.

At the cabin, Hope gets out some wine and sets the table, touching her necklace and thinking of Thomas before remembering Finn telling her he was concerned about her.
Liam stalks in without knocking.
“At least you’re not in lingerie,” he says, asking her what’s going on.
She doesn’t know if she should be telling him this, but Xander is back.
“Hmmm,” he says, smiling because he’s sure he’s making Thomas’ life hell.
Liam doesn’t think that suggesting Thomas was involved in Emma’s death is that far-fetched.
She insists that Thomas has changed.
He has a hard time telling the Thomases apart.
Suddenly, his jaw drops when he notices there is an engagement ring hanging off her.
He wonders why it’s on a chain.
She says this is none of his business.
He wants her to confide in him.
She’s vague and he gets smug when he realizes she couldn’t say “yes.”
She reminds him that it’s not up to him. He just hopes she will realize what this relationship is costing her and get out of it before he hurts her again.
Liam claims that he would never judge her and never has but urges her to think of all the people Thomas has hurt.
She reminds her ex that he hurt her too.
Clapping her hands, she tells him this is not worth it and they’ve moved on.
What Xander is saying isn’t true. Liam doesn’t know.
Hope insists he’s not responsible for Emma’s death.
Scratching his face, he asks what’s in it for Xander.
She thinks he has an axe to grind and is looking for someone to blame.
He thinks she’s making Thomas out to be a victim and she accuses him of being committed to misunderstanding her.
It was an accident and she doesn’t need anyone’s protection.
She wants to move past that dark chapter in her life.
Liam tells her she will never get past this as long as she’s in a relationship with Thomas.
Dredging up the baby Beth mess, he says that if Thomas is capable of that, he’s capable of murder.
