Monday, August 28 GH recap: Marshall urges Portia to give Curtis time, Liz and Finn discuss his father’s illness, and Carly asks Diane to find a way to get Drew out of prison.
Friday’s GH recap: BLQ lashed out at Tracy, Sonny and Nina planned their wedding, and Sam agreed to commit Cody.
Liz finds Finn on the roof of General Hospital.
She guesses he has something on his mind.
There’s something he can’t wrap his head around.
He saw her talking to his dad and guesses she now knows he’s sick.
His father is dying and in one of the worst ways imaginable.
Gregory wanted to take Violet to Disney World but that’s before his symptoms started getting worse.
She says you have to take it one day at a time and urges him not to miss out on what’s in front of him while he still can.
He wishes he hadn’t wasted so much time and turned his back on his father.
He’s determined to he there for him every step of the way.
“You can’t save him, but you can love him,” she says.
There’s no one he’d rather share this burden with than her.
She promises she will be there every step of the way.
Kristina stops by Alexis’ office and thanks her for talking Diane to be on board for her center.
They talk about the surrogate who Alexis met earlier.
Kristina has been trying to steer clear to avoid conflict with Molly.
She doesn’t want that to affect them.
Alexis suspects the surrogate has been a good choice.
Kristina hopes she and her sister will be back on track by the time the baby comes.
Gregory arrives as Kristina exits.
He admits he’s not sure how many working days he has left.
They discuss Finn learning he’s ill and he apologizes for making her keep his confidence.
She says there is nothing to forgive.
He admits he hasn’t told Chase and just wants a few more days with him not knowing.
Gregory thanks her for respecting his wishes to stay silent about all this.
Alexis tells him she’s here for him and he’s a helluva pal. They hug.
When Martin joins Lucy by the pool, she throws a drink in his face.
She confronts him for lying to her about the alimony he gets.
Now she knows he doesn’t want to marry her because he’d have to give up the money.
He reminds her she told him she didn’t want to marry.
She claims that was just reverse psychology.
She’s sure the money is more important to him than love.
The lawyer reminds her neither of them has been successful in marriage and then asks how she found out about the alimony.
She admits she went to Pine Valley and snooped at Jackson Montgomery’s office.
He points out she could have been arrested for that and assures her that nothing is more important to him than her.
She tells him to prove it by giving up the alimony.
Lucy admits she’s going to be bankrupt soon and she could be out of business and broke.
Anna meets with Robert and asks him to find out if Valentin is still working for Pikeman.
He wonders if Valentin had something to do with her house burning down.
“He’s complicated,” she says, and she suspects his connection to Pikeman is deeper than he has admitted.
He laughs about how little she trusts the Cassadine.
Valentin arrives and Robert immediately exits.
He fills her in about having dinner with Charlotte.
When she takes off to the bathroom, Valentin motions Martin over to a corner.
The lawyer tells him there is bad news.
His client tells him he needs this done so he can take the next step.
He returns to anna and she asks about the tension with his lawyer.
He waves that off.
When Martin returns to Lucy, she says the hearing tomorrow could be the end of Deception and the end of her.

Marshall joins Portia in her office.
She informs him that Curtis is being released from rehab tomorrow.
So far, he hasn’t gotten in touch with anyone about where he is going.
She’s made the house wheelchair accessible but still doesn’t know if he’s coming.
He urges her to let Curtis figure this out for himself.
Part of him can understand where his son is coming from given how he left his family after his diagnosis.
He’s sure that his son is worried about what his physical relationship with her can be.
Curtis must be avoiding the questions he can’t answer and that’s because he loves her.
At rehab, Stella finds Curtis working out on his own.
He says he’s ready to get out of there.
She doesn’t think so and tells him to talk to his therapist. Curtis doesn’t want a lot of empty words.
He wants to learn to do things on his own with no hand-holding.
She tells him he has the right to feel sorry for himself and let his anger out. If he doesn’t, it will eat away at him.
He needs to show God he’s up to the obstacle he’s placed in his path.
He points out how bad the timing for all this is.
He was finally getting everything good in his life.
She says the accident didn’t take that away.
Stella suggests this could show him how resilient he is.
He’s not feeling that. So much of who he is is tied to how physical he was and now that’s gone.
She tells him to be a hero like FDR and find the superpower inside.
Stella asks if he will go home to his wife.
He says they were making progress before he got shot.
He said horrible things to her to drive her away. She points out it didn’t.
It might be a long road, but his family wants to help him down it.
She knows it’s hard for him to be vulnerable, but if he can let Portia in, he will be ready to go home.
Curtis knows he has been shutting down because it’s easier, but he has to put his life back together.
Trina joins Joss at Kelly’s and tells her how hard things still are between her mom and Curtis.
There’s got to be a way to bring them back together.
Trina feels like part of the rift is her fault because she told her mom about Curtis kissing Jordan.
Joss says the adults are responsible for their own actions.
Diane joins Carly at the bar. She tells the lawyer how great it is to work there.
She had no idea how emotionally connected she felt to the place.
The one other thing she needs is Drew out of prison.
The lawyer has no leg to stand on since there was no trial.
This is all an injustice to Carly, who suggests the judge was biased.
Diane offers to look into it, but who is hiring her?
This could go on for years. The wisest thing might just be letting him serve his sentence.
Carly prods her and encourages her to pull some strings with Robert.
He walks in. Diane tries to avoid him but he tells her he just bought a new set of wheels.
He explains he’s opening up to new possibilities and asks if she’d like to come for a spin. She’ll have to check her schedule.
Trina goes to the hospital to see her mom and urges her to open up.
Portia tells her about her conversation with Marshall and how Curtis is being released tomorrow. She’s not sure he’s coming home.
Trina tries to be positive but her mom suggests she not get her hopes up.
Curtis calls Portia and announces he’s coming home.
It won’t be easy, but they can make it work.
