Wednesday, July 5, 2023, full episode recap of GH: Diane helps Tracy find the Deceptor thief, Carly wants to sell her home, and Willow invites Nina into her bubble
Monday’s GH recap: Gladys and Dr. Montague continue their plan to drug Sasha, and Cyrus gives drew a weapon *(Tuesday was a repeat episode of Epiphany’s memorial due to the July 4th USA Holiday)*
At General Hospital, in her room, Willow informs Michael that she believes her small bubble should include Nina. She can only be around a few people and feels Nina should be one of those people.
Michael understands wanting her mom to be one of them.
Willow claims a miracle has been given to them and they should share it with those who deserve it and those who don’t. She wonders if Michael agrees with her.
Like it or not, Sonny and Nina are a part of the family, and there is no way to get rid of them. Willow is proud of Michael when he shares he is no longer hell-bent on making his father pay for hurting his mom and the rest of his family.
Willow also doesn’t want to waste any more time. So much has been wasted already, she insists. Nina is a part of her whether she likes it or not. She doesn’t expect Michael to forgive her, but she wants to get to know the mother she never really had and wants Nina to get to know her as well.
When Michael steps out of the room, Willow thanks the nurse for all she has done for her, beyond the call of duty.
At Sonny’s penthouse, he finds Nina on the balcony and coaxes her inside. She gleams about being so happy. She’s got the man she loves, a wedding on the horizon, and there is barely a cloud in the sky out today.
Sonny reassures her that he doesn’t see any clouds at all.
Nina says there’s just one cloud. Willow will be home soon but without her. Sonny suggests that he go to GH and speak with Willow.
Nina pauses him and reminds him that Michael specifically did not want that. Plus, Nina says it must come from Willow herself for it to be meaningful. Nina assures him that will never happen, though, because Willow will never give her a chance.
Sonny claims to be a realist and reminds her that miracles are possible. She reminds him that other people believe the two of them finding each other was more like a catastrophe than a miracle.
He acknowledges Nina and her family gave Willow the chance at living her life. He says Michael and Willow cannot simply gloss over that. Just then, Michael calls Sonny and informs him Willow is going to be released from the hospital.
Michael says Willow needs one more thing; Her mom.
In the kitchen at Carly’s home, Carly and Sam discuss her huge financial setback. Sam stresses over concern that Carly might intend to refinance the house. She quickly dismisses that notion to Sam and claims that she isn’t sure could afford the monthly payments, plus she doesn’t think the bank would even refinance her.
Sam is relieved to be able to take the idea of a mortgage off of the table. Carly agrees. She agrees so strongly in fact, because she’s decided to sell the house.
Sam voices her concern regarding that suggestion. Carly agrees she doesn’t want to, but it’s just a real estate transaction at the end of the day.
Carly rants about the money that would be made off the sale being more than enough to ensure the primary needs are taken care of and insists she doesn’t need all that space anyway.
Sam urges her to think about it before she makes that big decision. Sam clarifies that it’s wrong of Carly to keep calling it a house. She reminds her it is her home, not just a house for a real estate transaction. As a friend, please consider the consequences, she says.
Carly compares this to the freedoms Drew gave up and says there is no comparison.
Sam always thought of Carly as Jason’s friend and is glad to begin thinking of her as one of her own.
At the Metro Court pool, Diane approaches Tracy’s table and is thanked for her punctuality. Diane insists she is happy to be found trustworthy, but reminds Tracy she was on her way to meet with a client and asks for her to get to the point of this impromptu meeting.
Tracy slides Diane a check for $40,000 and tells her she would like to hire her. She entices the offer with flattery, suggesting nobody has the ability to think outside of the box as cleverly as Diane does.
Diane agrees that it is an impressive opening offer, but insists she already has all the clients she can handle.
Tracy acknowledges Sonny and Carly must certainly keep her busy, but believes Diane will possibly want to rid herself of all those clients and represent her exclusively, once she hears what she has to say.
Diane confirms she’s neither accepted her check nor has she pushed it back across the table, requesting Tracy to, please, continue.
Tracy wants to report a robbery. One that is worth a King’s ransom, or Queen’s, if Diane would rather, and Tracy wants them to pay dearly. Diane wants to know what exactly was stolen. Diane is baffled to open the provided envelope and find The Deceptor being the item.
Diane says the documents appear to be very confidential and wonders how she acquired them. Tracy insists Diane not worry about that, rather worry about how Deception got them, and claims they surely didn’t sprain from Lucy’s brain.
Years of research and development are required for this type of detail, Diane agrees. She wants to clarify that Tracy means Deceptor is stolen intellectual property. Tracy is pleased to see Diane thinking the way she is thinking about this.
Lucy, Sasha, Maxie, and her own granddaughter are being accused of stealing Deceptor, Diane asks. Tracy replies she is not accusing anyone of anything…yet.
Tracy clams up concerning any further details and declares she needs to know whether Diane is in or is she out.
Tracy promises to get Diane everything she needs to proceed once she is truly onboard.
Diane admires the check and insists that it will be a huge payoff in the end, for all.
Diane excuses herself, taking the check with her.

Across the pool, Mac calls for a stop of the presses when Cody refers to him as a friend.
Dante approaches the two and jokingly reiterates you must be careful when choosing friends.
Cody laughs recalling Dante and his stories about creepy characters he would make up when they were children at summer camp.
Dante agrees but reminds him that they were usually characters similar to the likes of a real-life Scott Baldwin. 
Maxie interrupts the trio when she calls Mac, asking if he’s seen Felicia.
Maxie has a meeting to get to and Felicia is supposed to be there to babysit James. Mac excuses himself, and heads to Maxie’s rescue.
Dante tells Cody if he is in over his head with whatever he’s got going on with Scott, he can tell him when he is ready.
Cody denies anything nefarious is going on.
He reminds Cody that Mac is his father and is really the one who can get him out of trouble with Scott.
Cody gets agitated and questions what if he’s the one involving Scott in something.
He wants to know if his being able to come up with a sound plan on his own would be so hard for Dante to believe.
Cody says he’s had to scratch and crawl all his life for everything he’s ever gotten.
Upstairs at MC, Martin hurriedly exits his hotel room, closes the door, and walks down the hall.
Felicia is disguised as a housekeeper and pushing a cleaning cart close by. As soon as Martin is out of sight, she uses a master key and enters the room.
Mac runs into Martin as he exits the pool space and wants to know if he’s thought of the advice he gave him regarding Lucy.
Martin nods that he did take his advice about not keeping things from her. Mac is glad to hear it and rushes off.
Martin rolls up his sleeves and removes the jacket to his suit in order to be somewhat swimming pool presentable, Tracy is seen looking upon from her table with Diane.
Once Diane leaves, Tracy heads over to Martin and drizzles some of her cold drink on him. She wants to know if he planned on saying hello.
Tracy wants to know if he’s still with Lucy, to which he promptly replies with a, yes. She speaks of Lucy’s habits and he wonders if it’s a warning for him. Tracy calls it more of a prediction.
Tracy then claims to have a proposition for Martin.
At Deception, Sasha grabs her prescription medication from her purse and quickly takes on, just before Brook Lynn enters, wanting to know if it’s true about Cody being cleared.
Lucy enters and excitedly overhears.
She insists that Sasha is entitled to feel happy for her friend and that they will celebrate as soon as they take care of business. She wonders where Maxie is.
Brook Lynn wants to know why this meeting is so hush-hush, and wonders if they have something bigger than Deceptor in the works. Lucy insists they will get to all that and changes the subject back to Cody.
They both want Sasha to provide them with details about what happened. Sasha explains how it was all a misunderstanding.
According to Sasha, Gladys made an honest mistake and acknowledges that their relationship is better than ever.
Lucy wants to know about Sasha’s relationship with Cody. Sasha is simply thrilled his name has been cleared.
Sasha goes to celebrate her hopeful upcoming freedom with a latte from Parks.
At Maxie’s apartment, Mac arrives to help. James is ready to play as soon as he enters.
When Maxie opens the door to leave, Felicia is there to do her babysitting. She claims to Mac that she is both grandma and private eye.
Felicia tells Mac to calm down and assures him her new assignment has nothing to do with Cody.
She has James grab a sheet and turns her work into play. Next, we sort through the garbage she says, as she dumps Martin’s trash out onto the sheet on the floor. Felicia claims their findings to be a jackpot.
She suggests they start piecing together the bigger shredded pieces of paper from Martin’s bank statements.
It doesn’t take long to piece together the monthly deposits of $50,000 into his account.
They initially believe them to be from Valentine, but then notice they are coming from a town, Pine Valley, in Pennsylvania.
Once Maxie arrives at Deception, Lucy finally comes clean and informs them of the news. Apparently, they have a snake in their midst, she insists.
BLQ and Maxie find it hard to believe someone simply hacked in and downloaded top-secret Deceptor files.
Lucy quickly objects to it being one of them, claiming that it was Maxie who stole it.
Maxie is baffled. Lucy doesn’t want to believe it, but she insists the data is what it is.
Maxie recounts the day and says BLQ can even back her up. She claims her computer may have been the entry point to the files, but not by her hands. It makes no sense for her to steal something she already has access to any time she wants it.
Sonny and Nina arrive at GH to see Willow. Nina panics as she remembers what she’s done to Carly and panics, claiming she can’t go through with this. Sonny and the nurse talk Nina off her ledge.
Nina cries and puts on her mask. Michael greets them and insists Willow is ready to see her.
Nina slowly enters Willow’s room and she wants to know if there’s any way she can help her daughter. Willow tells her she would like for her to come for a visit as soon as she gets settled in at home.
Willow explains the small bubble she must exist in and Nina is shocked that Willow wants her to be a part of it. She explains to her mother that Carly will be a part of it as well and that any feuding and revenge attempts must stop immediately.
Nina gives WIllow her word that her battle with Carly is officially over.
Sam leaves Carly alone with Diane once she arrives. Diane is shocked to hear of Carly thinking about selling her home.
Diane is disappointed that Carly sees this as her only way out and claims she seriously underestimates her sometimes.
