Friday, July 21 GH recap:
Thursday’s GH recap: Sasha is Arrested for Stabbing Cody, Heather Reminds Esme of Her Dead Adoptive Parents & Curtis Has No Feeling Below His Knee
Carly goes to see Drew in Pentonville. She knows she promised not to come so soon but she missed him. He missed her and they sit together, holding hands. Scout’s determined to visit ASAP, she says.
They grin. He thinks about the bible with the shiv that Cyrus gave him.
He tells her about Cyrus having him in his sights and she worries and starts to fret. He tells her to chill.
He’s got this. Sonny took care of everything. She’s unsurprised. They’re family. When she talks about the fine, he offers to give her money but she refuses.
Diane will come up with a plan and Carly says she has resources. He worries she’ll sell the house but she shrugs. She’ll have memories of the house but wants to focus on the future.
No piece of real estate will change that. LIfe’s too fragile to wait around.
She fills him in about Curtis’ shooting, shocking the inmate. When time is up, they profess their love and Carly goes, leaving Drew to go see Cyrus.
Joss and Dex arrive at the Metro Court pool. She’s uneasy since the last time they were there was when Curtis was shot.
They know who that bullet was meant for. Sonny. Or Dex. “No,” Dex says. She worries it’ll happen again.
At the Grill, Sonny makes a toast that Austin doesn’t share, causing Sonny to question him. Austin thinks Avery sees him as a friend. Sonny snarks that she sees the good in everybody. Like him. Austin finds that surprising.
Sonny says he gives people the benefit of the doubt but knows that some people are beyond help and he knows when it’s time to move on. Ava starts to laugh with Sonny and Austin laughs. They’re all just joking around.
Austin goes to take a call and Nina tells her friend she sees chemistry between them but not coupledom. At least he’s not broody like Nicholas.
At General Hospital, Curtis can’t feel his legs and starts yelling when nobody immediately tells him what’s happening. The doc says he’s lucky to be alive. The anesthesia could be why he can’t feel his legs but they just don’t know.
He needs to check the test results and scans they took after the surgery. He leaves him with TJ and Portia.
Portia claims Aunt Stella would call this a miracle. She holds his hand. He tells her he was looking for her at the pool. He’s feeling stronger so she goes to check on a patient and he takes the time to grab at his legs in vain.
TJ goes to talk to the doctor who got the results back. They look at them together.
Diane tells Maxie on a call she’ll take care of everything. She runs into Robert and tells him she’s off to see Sasha, her new client that Martin gave to her.
He knew she’d need dedication and compassion and he couldn’t be there.
She refuses to let Robert interrogate Sasha in her current state.
They argue over why Sasha stabbed Cody. Diane points out that she’s not well. Robert sighs.
He’s not there to persecute her client, but Maxie called him to ask him to look out for her.
He laughs that they’re on the same team for once. She purses her lips as they get on the elevator.
By the hub, Sasha’s brought in a wheelchair to Dr. Monague with Gladys and a cop.
The evil doctor tells her he’ll make sure she gets help. The cop brings her to the exam room and Gladys whisper yells that he never said she’d get this bad. “What did you give her?”
She never meant her daughter-in-law to suffer. Montague tells her to shut up. She did her part and he’s about to do his. He goes in to examine the patient while Sasha tells Officer Perez that Sasha’s a good person.
He doesn’t listen and she walks off in a huff.
Inside, Sasha’s loopy. The doctor warned her not to take too many pills.
She says no, she only took three a day like he said. He gets a syringe prepared as she looks at her bloodied shirt in confusion.
When he injects her, she asks him not to. He records their conversation as he asks her to recall what happened.
She says she and Gladys were at the pool and Cyrus grabbed her by the wrist. Doc looks shocked.

Brad Schmidt to General Hospital
Outside Sasha’s room, Gladys sees Robert and Diane and tells them they can’t bother Sasha who is getting a psychological evaluation.
Diane tells Gladys she’s not Sasha’s keeper. She heads into the exam room and tells Sasha to stop talking and for the doctor to turn off the recording device. Montague scrambles to do that.
Outside at the Grill, Austin talks to Mason. He returns and asks what he missed.
Ava covers and Sonny takes a call from Gladys who tells him Sasha’s been arrested and getting a psych evaluation at GH. Sonny and Nina rush off.
Austin questions if Sonny treats all her lovers like this.
His hand finds its way to Ava’s leg and she talks about his prowess in bed as he trails it up toward her thigh, she toys with a steak knife and says she assumes as a surgeon, he needs those hands.
Back at the pool, Dex and Joss are putting SPF on each other and making out when Sonny calls and asks Dex to surveil Austin at the Grill.
Once he’s gone, Joss reads and gets a phone call that surprises her.
“What are you talking about?” She asks.
Back at GH, Montague yells at Diane for interfering but she’s undeterred.
She goes to Sasha who remembers her and Diane vows to help her. She wants the woman to stay quiet.
Montague says it’s too late. She’s told him more than enough.
Later, once he’s alone, the doctor yells.
Outside, Nina and Sonny appear at Glady’s side and wants answers.
Diane returns to Sonny, Gladys and Nina and informs them, “Sasha’s being sent to Ferncliff Hospital for the Criminally Insane.”
She’s wheeled out and everyone looks upset while Sonny tells her she’s not alone. She thanks him.
Gladys claims she can’t tell them why Sasha stabbed Cody.
Portia finds TJ in his office, yelling and pounding his desk. She starts to cry in his arms. “No!”
Sasha returns to Curtis after she calms herself down and puts on a big smile.
He wants physiotherapy as soon as possible, refusing to wait for a miracle. He vows to learn to walk and dance the night away with her.
She loves that but starts to cry before she tells him that three surgeons told them he’d never be able to walk again.
She says it’s not a death sentence. She keeps talking and he finally tells her to stop. He needs time alone. She leaves the room and lets TJ know that Curtis has been made aware of his situation.
Back at the Grill, Dex eavesdrops as Austin tells Ava he gets the impression that Sonny is on to them.
