Tuesday, August 15 GH recap: Nina’s upset when she finds Sonny with Ava and neither will tell her what’s going on, Dex lets Betty fall into the trap, and Gregory’s ALS gets worse.
Monday’s GH recap: Sonny Plants a Trap to Catch Betty and Her Boss, and Dante Gets Suspicious of Where Valentin Was When Anna’s House Was Set on Fire
Gregory finds Alexis on a call at Metro Court pool. He missed her at the editorial meeting.
She tells him she has a quote from a judge for his new piece.
Brook Lynn turns up and Nina comments that she’s concerned that Sasha can’t have visitors. BLQ’s worried about her after seeing her a few days ago.
Later, Esme arrives and Gregory leaves them to get a table while BLQ tells Nina that Sasha seems to have had a break with reality. Nina doesn’t get it. She was doing so well.
BLQ goes to sit with Gregory and tells him Chase is late.
They talk about her short time in PCU that didn’t work out. Gregory asks if she considered returning but BLQ says it’s not her thing.
She blames her upbringing as being unconventional as a reason not to return to college.
He understands it could have been challenging.
She tells him one side is artsy and the other business-centric. Brook Lynn says he really pushes her grandma’s buttons.
But she always has your back if she likes you. Gregory wonders what that means for him.
Chase appears and Brook Lynn goes to the ladies’ room and Gregory grills him about where he and his girlfriend’s relationship is headed. Chase says it’s new. He has no idea.
At their table, Alexis tells Esme she has no agenda for hiring her.
She invited her for lunch and wanted to show her that she’s grateful that she’s doing a good job.
Esme’s bowled over. Alexis says people may forgive her but they’re not going to remember what she did.
Though Esme doesn’t remember what she did, they will. “Great pep talk,” says Esme. Alexis thinks she needs to take the opportunity to change who she is to someone people can trust.
She got off to a bad beginning but seems to have turned a corner. She can handle the job. Esme thanks her.
She finds it exciting and Spencer told her she was a lawyer. She asks if Alexis misses that.
She does but thinks she did a good job in turning The Invader into something more positive.
She talks about the similarities of the job and asks how it is living with Spencer without Laura refereeing.
She admits it’s turned out fine and talks up how much she likes the job.
After lunch, Gregory tries to sign the bill and struggles. Alexis notices and goes to his table to question him. He thinks he’s running out of time.
At home, Molly tells TJ where he should move the flowers, cheese, crackers, and fancy napkins.
He can see she’s stressed. She’s excited to meet the possible surrogate. She changes before Andrea Gates finally turns up.
It’s awkward and they apologize for their nervousness. Andrea understands. They tell her a little about themselves and she says she’s married but lost her job and they’re supplementing their incomes. Her grandpa died of lung cancer, which meant she hasn’t smoked.
Later, she makes them happy by saying she assumed they’d want to go on OBGYN visits. She tells them her baby’s too young to know she’ll be pregnant which TJ finds sensitive. Once Andrea’s gone, they agree they like her. They’ve another woman to meet.
Chelsea Brennan turns up, a divorcee who co-parents her two kids. She wants to get ahead financially. She says her first pregnancy made her nervous but the second was easy.
She agrees to listen to certain music and read to their baby while pregnant.
“I’m a big Aerosmith fan,” she says, which they like.
Later, they discuss what she eats. They like her but when surrogate number three arrives, Pamela is not as perfect as they’d like.
She doesn’t eat well, and tells them as long as they pay, she’ll eat what they want and go to any hospital they want.
She even wants to know how long they’ll “pick up my hospital bills” after she’s delivered.
Once the woman is gone, they decide to hire Andrea.
Portia watches Curtis and his physiotherapist work out in the gym at GH.
She brings up his breakthrough with Trina. He laughs.
He wouldn’t go that far but seems pleased. Portia’s inspired and wants to have a similar conversation.
She wants to start over but Curtis can’t.
He’s trying to adapt to a life in a wheelchair. He can’t deal with this and a relationship.
She says she understands but doesn’t get why he thinks he has to go it alone.
The physiotherapist returns. She’d like to watch the rest of the session.
Stephanie comes in to help Curtis stretch as the physiotherapist tells Portia needs to work on Curti’s timetable and be patient.
She watches the rest of the session.

General Hospital’s comings and goings
Ava meets Sonny in his office, begging for an update about Avery in the hands of that criminal. Sonny has everything under control. He’s cutting the snake off at the head.
She just needs Nikolas’ body back. Sonny tells her to relax but she can’t.
He assumes Austin and Betty have the body. In order to get it back, they first need to know who they’re dealing with.
Betty and Avery arrive at Sonny’s penthouse and Gabe lets them in, nodding at Dex when he turns up.
Dex calls Sonny with an update that he followed them back home.
Sonny tells him not to let them out of his sight until they’re inside.
They need to let her know she’s outsmarting them.
Inside, Betty wants Avery to take a nap but she’s watching TV.
Betty argues and Avery finally agrees to watch them on her tablet with headphones. Nina arrives and Gabe and Dex stops her from entering.
She’s confused and tells Dex this is unbelievable when he tells her that Sonny instructed that nobody can go inside.
Once she’s gone, Dex heads in and sees Betty snooping through Sonny’s mail.
He confronts her and she lies that she was looking for art supplies.
Dex pretends he buys her lies and goes back outside to tell Gabe that “Betty doesn’t want to be disturbed.”
Inside, Betty gets on Sonny’s computer and finds the Pikeman files. She checks out the delivery schedule with a smile. Dex appears in the living room and puts a finger to his lips to hush Avery.
Meanwhile, Betty slips a flash drive into the laptop and copies the files before removing it and closing the laptop.
Back in Sonny’s office, Sonny updates Ava about Dex’s call and how the plan will go.
She still seems anxious. When Nina arrives, she notices how squirrelly Ava is and after she leaves, Nina questions her fiance.
He can’t tell her anything but that he’s protecting his family. It makes Nina feel like another of his employees.
