Friday, August 4 GH recap: Willow wishes she had more to do, Nina lends her support to Kristina, and Anna and Valentin speculate on who tried to kill her.
Thursday’s GH recap: Molly and TJ met with a surrogacy professional, Ava asked Austin if he killed Gordon, and Curtis prepared for rehab.
At General Hospital, Liz is handed a dinner invitation from Finn. She checks the acceptance box and hands it back to a nurse before getting on the elevator. Finn arrives and is handed the envelope.
He smiles when he opens it.
In Austin’s office, he’s shocked when Ava admits she told Sonny he helped her. Before he can get the details, Liz interrupts and asks if she’s heard from Nikolas.
She babbles about that and then asks if Chase found him. She saw Dex lurking outside his office and suggested the cop should talk to him. She is sure Dex was snooping. He thanks her and shows her out.
The doctor wonders if Sonny had Gordon whacked. Ava doubts it. They talk about Sonny threatening Gordon and then sending Dex to follow him. He’s not sure what Dex would have seen but Gordon and Mason were waiting in his office.
When she asks if Mason is capable of killing someone, he points out he wouldn’t be the only one. He explains everything that he told the cops and she tells him he’s really bad at lying to cover things up.
He claims he just wants to be a good doctor and she doesn’t need to worry. She is worried that people will start poking into her life.
Austin asks again if she told Sonny she killed Nikolas. She nods. He worries that Sonny might come after him.
Ava tells him they need to keep moving forward. She kisses him and tells him not to screw up.
Liz meets Finn at The Grill. She takes his breath away and she says he looks nice too.
They eat salad and she says her mom emailed her. She feels like she has to get over what she did. The worst is behind her. He says the person who suffered the most in that mess is the one who deserved it the least.
They talk about the complications facing them: he dated her sister, is an addict, and a loner. She admits she’s terrified. He admits that he’s so terrified he’s looked into transferring to another hospital.
She admits she uses work to distract her from her feelings for him. The more he knows her, the more he wants to spend time with her.
Getting up, they agree to do this again and shake hands.
Michael stops by Charlie’s and Kristina asks if it’s okay for him to be at the “Sonny-Nina hangout.” They talk about how hostile Joss is to Sonny. Kristina says the heart wants what it wants. Isn’t that what happened with him and Willow?
Nina stops by the gatehouse to see if Willow needs anything. Willow has been knitting to keep busy but just wants to get back to the real world and get her life back.
It’s awkward when Nina brushes her bangs out of her face and then tells her how eager she is to know about her life. Will she tell her?
Willow just wants a normal life full of mundane things. That sounds like so much fun to Nina and she wishes she could done that.
Backing away, Willow repeats she just wants things normal and wonders where Michael is. Nina offers to order dinner but Michael arrives.
Nina immediately excuses herself and leaves.
He hopes Nina wasn’t upsetting her. She shows him the sock she has been knitting and admits she was relieved Nina interrupted.
They chat about the mess at ELQ and how he’s fixing things with Neddie and Valentin gone. That means he’ll be ready to step back into command if he needs to. She envies him working.
He urges her not to do too much too soon and they talk about her immune system. Willow just wants to be useful.
Michael thinks they should focus on their family before she goes back to work. He almost lost her and wants to savor every moment. So does she but she can’t turn her back on nursing. She says their family will always come first and they hug.

General Hospital’s comings and goings
Nina goes to Charlie’s, where Kristina pours her a drink and thanks her for all the positive things she said about her to Trish. Nina believes in her a thousand percent and would like to help any way she can.
Kristina will take any and all help she can get. She adds that her dad’s happiness is her priority and she supports their relationship. Nina is grateful she is giving her a chance.
Claiming she is the queen or screw-ups, Kristina says her dad always gives her another chance.
They chat about Michael and Kristina says he really holds a grudge. She’s sure her brother will soften as her bond with Willow grows.
Laura and Kevin are in Greece. Cassadine Island only reminds her of all the time that Stavros held her there. She never wanted to step foot there again but this is their best shot at finding Nikolas.
They meet with the caretaker looking after the property. He tells them they can make their own search but he’s seen no sign of her son.
Left alone, Laura says the most likely space Nikolas could be would be the sub-basement. He offers to search them alone but she says they need to face them together.
After they search, she guesses her son is not there. Clearly, someone has made him disappear and it wasn’t Victor.
She wonders if she just doesn’t want to admit her son has abandoned his family again. He wishes there was a way to let him know it is alright to show his face. She gets an idea.
Anna is thrilled to arrive at home and find Valentin waiting for her. They kiss and then he asks how tried to kill her.
After handing him some wine, they talk about the shooting. They’re sure that Curtis was not the target. The rifle was traced back to the WSB. It could have been sold on the dark web.
Sonny thinks it’s likely one person at the bureau trying to get rid of her. They speculate on who that could be and why. Maybe when exposing her wasn’t enough to ruin her, they tried to kill her?
He suspects that it was likely just his father since he hated her for being everything he wasn’t and for taking him away.
Valentin admits he could have easily gone over to his father’s side if it wasn’t for her. He loves her and doesn’t doubt she’s why he’s alive.
It has taken her a long time to admit she loves him too. They talk about his not finding Nikolas. This makes him the head of the family. They kiss.
