Fri Dec 22, 2023: Today on General Hospital, Curtis notices something is off between Marshall and Stella, Laura and Finn read to the children and the hospital, and Sonny and his family light candles for people they lost.
Thursday’s GH recap: Michael bought Ned’s silence, Felicia suspected Cody, comet bit Spinelli, and Kristina offered her eggs.
At the hospital, Liz catches Finn rehearsing The Night Before Christmas.
She tells him he doesn’t have to be off-book.
He can’t stop thinking about how this might be his dad’s last Christmas.
As they walk, he says he won’t let what’s hanging over him rob him of the joy of what’s in front of him.
Gregory, BLQ, Chase, Violet, and Gregory step off the elevators.
They talk about Finn reading the story this year and then Violet begins demanding that her uncle and BLQ set a wedding date.
The kids run off for candy canes and Gregory asks for a moment along with BLQ.
They sit and she brings up his Christmas list. He says there is something only she can give him.
He tells her that Chase doesn’t want to face what’s happening to him.
The last thing he wants is to add to the pressure Violet is applying, but time isn’t on his side.
His Christmas wish is that she and Chase don’t wait too long for the wedding.
He wants to see the son he cherishes marry the love of his life.
He wants to see that more than anything.
BLQ promises they will make it happen.
Jordan is not happy when she encounters Cyrus in the hallway.
She tells him to go away and he suggests she may be more charitable.
He’s forgiven her for sending him to prison on manufactured evidence, why can’t she forgive him?
She still wants to see him in jail for what he did to TJ and storms off.
At Alexis’, Kristina tells her sister and TJ that the perfect solution is for her to be the egg donor and surrogate.
It would give them a direct biological connection to the child.
Kristina begs them not to say no but they say this is a lot to process.
TJ explains creating an embryo with his sister-in-law is complicated.
Molly tells her sister they need to discuss this on their own but thank her either way.
Molly and TJ have to talk this over.
Alexis tells Sam and Dante that she needs to prove that she’s proud for Scout’s sake.
Girl power and all that.
They tell her that Drew is really determined to get Scout into this private school but she doesn’t want to go.
Alexis isn’t surprised that he just wants the best for her.
Jordan arrives and Kristina fills everyone in on her egg donation offer.
TJ and Molly return and announce they will take her up on it.
The sisters hug as everyone looks around awkwardly until Scout comes in with cookies.
They start scarfing them down.
At the penthouse, Laura and Spencer discuss his plans for the evening with Ace.
Esme surprises them when she shows up.
She tells Spencer that she’s dropping his brother off so he can enjoy the night with him.
He wonders where she’s going to be.
As Laura and Kevin show ornaments to Ace, Esme flashes back to the ornaments in the turret and tells Spencer that no one seems willing to show her grace.
Once Esme leaves, Spencer asks his grandmother if she seemed weird.
Laura assumes she just needs some time to herself.
Cyrus shows up with a present for Ace.
He hopes he can get to know him in the new year.
Once he leaves, they all back away from the gift, not trusting it.
Esme breaks into Wyndemere.
She goes up to the tower and flashes back to what happened there, to when Nikolas held her hostage and she could not escape.
As she walks around the castle, she remembers everything that happened, how she took a swan dive off the turret and collapses to the ground, in shock.

At home, Portia and Trina admire their outfits.
She tells her mom that she appreciates her including Spencer in their Christmas rituals.
Her mom says it was in the spirit of the season and they hug.

Curtis asks his father where he disappeared to with Stella earlier.
Marshall awkwardly turns around and locks eyes with her.
They flashback to nearly kissing.
Stella goes to Portia and Trina and she tells them how much patients have always given her over the years.
As she thinks about her sister, she looks over at Marshall and then tries rushing to the kitchen, knocking over some food.
Curtis asks his dad if he’s getting odd vibes from Stella.
Marshall claims that things are complicated when families are together and starts making excuses, suggesting that Stella must just be missing Irene tonight.
Portia and Trina fuss over Stella.
She says she’s just having a lot of memories.
Trina wishes she’d met her grandmother and Stella tells her they were a lot alike.
She doesn’t want to dwell on the past and reminds them they are all supposed to be somewhere.
At home, Carly and Donna talk to Bobbie on the phone until Dex, Adam, and Joss show up.
Adam and Dex take Donna out so show her a present.
Carly asks Joss why Adam isn’t with his family.
She loves her for helping her friend but this may not be the help he needs.
Maybe she’s enabling him to avoid his parents.
Donna runs back in with the boys. Adam wrote a song for her.
Carly takes her daughter off to the hospital.
Dex goes off to get some wood for the fire and Joss thanks Adam for the song he wrote for her sister.
She tells him that her dad created a fund for her and she can buy him a ticket home.
He snaps that he doesn’t want to go home.
He says this isn’t helping.
It’s oppressive at his house and he needs to her stay out of it.
He leaves as Dex returns. Joss is confused.
Sonny, Nina, Michael, Wiley, and Willow stop by the church.
The mobster hands the priest some money and tells him how blessed they are.
As Sonny and Nina hug, Michael glares at her.
They talk about how grateful they are and then Sonny teaches Wiley to light a candle to remember the people who aren’t there like Morgan, Jason and Mike.
Willow guesses that Nina must be thinking of Nelle.
Nina admits her sister is on her mind.
That still sounds strange to Willow.
Nina still likes to think that Nelle could have turned her life around.
Willow says that would have been a bug change and they’ll never know.
Wiley comes over, eager to get to the party at GH.
They start to file out and Nina asks her daughter to tell Sonny she will meet him at the hospital.
She lights a candle for Nelle.
When she spots the priest, she asks if she can make a confession.
The priest goes off to prepare and Cyrus shows up.
He follows Nina to the confessional and smiles as he listens at the grill.
Laura arrives at the hospital and Sonny and his family come in.
Finn is relieved the mayor is there so he won’t have story duty alone.
Violet rushes over to tell her daddy it’s time.
The doctor and mayor sit with all the children and read the story.
Trina runs into Spencer and Ace in the hallway.
