The event everyone has been impatiently waiting for has arrived.
Since the writers’ strike, viewers have been clamoring to find out when the show would address the death of Jackie Zeman, who portrayed beloved vet, Bobbie Spencer on General Hospital for decades.
Daytime Emmy-nominated Zeman debuted in 1977 on the ABC soap.
She died in May 2023 from cancer at 70, after a short illness.
There will be returns from past characters to bid farewell to Bobbie, along with the current cast members.
People reports that the list of those involved will include “Maxie (Kirsten Storms), who has had a special connection to Bobbie since she was a young girl, Laura (Genie Francis), Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst), Scott (Kin Shriner) and Carly (Laura Wright). Also featured in the heartbreaking episodes are Finola Hughes (Anna) and Lynn Herring (Lucy), who was Jackie’s close friend in real life. Ryan Carnes, who played Lucas, will return for the tribute episodes, as well.”
Of course, Bobbie’s daughter and her best friends, Carly and Felicia (Kristina Wagner) are included in this.

The story will kick off an adventure in Amsterdam where the duo try to take care of some unfinished business for Bobbie and we hear the episodes are filled with twists and turns.
As for Zeman, after her death in May, co-stars, friends, and family attended a celebration of life which was held two months later.
The celebration was held in Malibu and was beloved by many.
Bobbie’s death will spread through Port Charles in a two-day memorial which airs on January 10 and January 11.
Most of the cast will be involved and this is when Ryan Carnes returns to pay respects as Bobbie’s son, Lucas.
Lynn Herring (Lucy) told Soap Digest, “In the days between the characters finding out that Bobbie died and the memorial, they show different people reacting and talking about her impact. Everyone has days of disbelief and the reality setting in, and I really liked how they did that. It’s honoring her not just at the memorial.” The actress, who was close friends for decades with Zeman, acknowledges, “The two days we shot the memorial were very hard. As soon as we knew it was coming, sort of a darkness set in. But as hard as it was, it meant a lot to all of us to pay tribute to Jackie.”
