General Hospital recap for Tuesday, February 22, 2022. In today’s GH episode, Carly and Sonny argue about their divorce settlement, Joss pushes Esme too far, and Peter drives Maxie off the road.
We also have Monday’s GH recap where Maxie attacked Peter and escaped and Spencer blew up at Nikolas.
Carly is working in her office when she notices the Valentine’s card the kids made for her. Rebecca the lawyer pops in.
She’s disappointed her client’s list of requests for the divorce settlement is so short. Carly just wants the divorce over as soon as possible but the lawyer thinks she’s missing out on a massive payoff and custody of the kids.
Sonny arrives with his lawyer and they all sit around the desk. They quickly run through Carly’s demands. She wants to retain the main residence. Sonny rejects that. She abandoned him so she can’t have his house. Rebecca points out he owns numerous properties. Sonny says it’s where his children grew up. Carly agrees he can have the house.
Carly wants joint custody of Donna. Sonny’s lawyer says the primary residence should be with her father. Rebecca says Donna belongs with her mother. Sonny’s lawyer explains that this will separate Donna from her sister, who Carly has no legal rights over.
Rebecca asks Carly how to respond. She arches an eyebrow and then shakes her head.
Sonny asks to speak to Carly in private. The lawyers advise against it but leave. Carly wants Donna to live with her. He can’t imagine living without his daughter. She reminds him she loves Avery like her own. They can handle this like adults but need to be realistic.
They are going to hurt the girls and all of this is because he slept with Nina.
Sonny admits that he made mistakes that never should have happened. Carly tells him all they had is gone. “You’re the one giving up, not me,” he says, suggesting they try again for the girls.
She says it’s too late. They agree they are great parents. He suggests they stay together as parents and drop the romance.
Carly says that’s not possible. She wants the girls to see a loving, healthy relationship and that’s not what they are. She’s sure the girls will get through it. “If that’s the way it has to be that’s the way it has to be,” he says, allowing her to have Donna and the house.
He calls the lawyers back in and Carly tells them to draw up the paper.
At Kelly’s, Trina insists to Esme that the gift Spencer got for her was no big deal and not a Valentine’s present. Esme says she knows; Spence tells her everything. Joss wonders if that explanation is as fake as the rest of her.
She lays into her and Esme accuses her of never missing a chance to attack her.
Joss accuses her of playing the victim and demands that she tell the truth for once in her life.
Trina wants her friend to let this go but the other two continue their bickering. Esme insists that she is trying to own up to her mistakes and build bridges. Joss rolls her eyes. She has no desire to build bridges with her.
Esme says she only needs Trina to accept her apology. Maybe she realizes they should all be friends? Joss keeps rubbing the gift from Spencer in her face. Trina insists she doesn’t have a special connection with Spencer.
Esme is sick of this and walks away, thinking about the secret video she made of Joss and Cam having sex.
Trina tells Joss to leave her out of this next time and accuses her of caring more about revenge on Esme than her feelings. Trina tells her to stay out of whatever she has with Spencer. She gets a text saying she needs to get to school.
After telling Joss that she has just made her life worse, she walks out for a minute. Joss gets a call from Avery and goes outside to talk. Esme swaps one phone cover for another that’s identical to Trina’s and smiles deviously.
Joss returns as Trina leaves, brusquely tells Joss they are okay and walks out. Esme exits and looks at the video on her phone. “Almost showtime,” she says.
Sam eavesdrops on Victor as he meats with Johann on the pier. She photographs them talking about Peter. Victor orders him to track down August himself. Sam knocks over some bottles. Johann checks it out but Sam has disappeared.

Laura arrives at General Hospital with her assistant Eileen and finds Robert pacing. He tells her that there has been a complication in the search for Peter. Robert says that Felicia seems to have slipped off to Switzerland to look for Maxie.
He can sympathize with her but there’s already enough danger over there. Mac is worried sick.
Eileen has been listening to all of this nervously. Sam shows up and tells the mayor and Robert she was eavesdropping on Victor. Laura asks Eileen to go and Sam shows her a picture she took on the pier.
Robert decides to send the photo to the WSB so they can bring Johann in.
Sam explains Victor was mad about an associate going missing. It sounds like Peter and the Cassadine are at odds again.
When Robert hears back from his contact with a report on Johann, Laura says he was exactly where Luke was when he had his supposed accident. She’s sure that Victor was behind Luke’s death.
Eileen meets with Victor on the pier. She tells him Sam, Laura, and Robert are getting too close.
In Switzerland, Drew, Anna, and Dante are all shooting at Peter’s farmhouse. They yell at him to give himself up. He keeps shooting back so they decide to take the house themselves. Anna covers as the men rush through the front door.
When they burst in, they shoot two men. One of them is Krieger from the WSB. Peter is not there.
Krieger claims he came to find Peter and only fired because they were shooting at him. Anna is sure he was working with Peter or sent after him by someone else. Dante stays behind with Krieger while the other leave.
Krieger tells Dante he overreacted with deadly force. Dante is sure that he sold himself to someone and points out he could have easily shot Drew.
Maxie makes her way out of the woods and to the highway. Coincidentally, Felicia pulls up in a rented car.
After they hug, they jump in the car and take off. Felicia explains how they figured out where she was and how she came even though Anna told her not to.
Maxie is just glad that she is the first car that found her. They notice a car is pulling up on them. It smashes into them and runs them off the road.
Felicia is left unconscious and Maxie runs into the woods with Peter chasing after her.
When Maxie gets to a dam, she starts climbing down. Peter shoots in the air and warns that if she doesn’t come back, he will shoot her. She’d rather die. But if he kills her, that means there’s no shred of good left in him.
He yells that she was supposed to save him but abandoned him instead. As he’s about to shoot, Felicia clobbers him and he falls down.
