As she goes on about how every shot is a masterpiece and the next campaign can showcase “cowboy meets elegance.”
He wishes her luck but it won’t be him standing beside Sasha. Sasha eavesdrops on this in the hall.
Maxie hands him a check and he notices it’s a hefty sum. She says it can be heftier if he signs on. He can’t.
She offers to double the money but he explains the issue is Sasha. She doesn’t want to work with him and he won’t force her after all she’s been through.
Sasha finally interrupts.
She appreciates his willingness to step away but asks if he would agree to the job if it was another model.
He would. Sasha knows he’s important for their brand so she agrees to do it.
Maxie is thrilled and says it will be strictly professional.
Finn joins Diane at the Metro Court. She stops him immediately and informs him she can’t represent him.
The lawyer says she would like to represent him but the family suing him called her.
They have her on retainer and have had for years.
She advises him not to trust the hospital’s lawyers and wishes him the best.
As Gregory arrives with his cane, she exits.
He asks his son if something went awry and the doctor says it was legal nonsense. They talk about Violet.

His father urges him to stand up for himself. Finn thanks him for his faith.
Jordan arrives at Curtis’ where he tells her she’s the only one who can understand what he discovered.

He reminds her she’s the deputy mayor now but that doesn’t make any difference to her.
She thinks they were an unstoppable team and can get to the bottom of this faster together. He won’t fight with her.
Carly kisses Drew outside of Kelly’s.
They go inside and talk about how she turned down Nina’s offer.
She’s just learning to appreciate what she has. It was hard seeing Nina is her old place and living the life she used to live.
He asks if that includes her life with Sonny. She’s not regretting the divorce.
This all sounds human to him. She just wants to enjoy what she has and look forward.
He admires how resilient she is and her optimism inspires him. That doesn’t mean letting the people who hurt her have another shot.
She wonders what he means by that so he explains that Ned has pushed him too far.
He complains about Ned going back to his old, arrogant self. She wonders what he will do about it.
Drew is sure that Ned went to the SEC out of revenge.

Then the three of them can move on together.
She’s not sure she can see that happening after he kept this quiet for months.
He had no faith in her. If he’d told her the truth, they could have handled this. She accuses him of not being able to trust anyone because he can’t be trusted.
He says he was protecting his daughter and their love. He was afraid she might leave him because she doesn’t love him the way he does her.

She was going to spray paint in her apartment when she got shot. Nina asks if she did anything other than spray painting.
She asks if she had anything to do with the fire. Tearful, Charlotte insists she didn’t set the fire.
Nina holds her and says everything will be okay.

On his way out, Sonny tells him to lay off Laura.
